Determining resolution Print quality is 300 DPI (dots per inch) 2400 dpi x 3000 dpi divided by 300 dpi = 8in x10in (photo quality) image 300 x 300 divided by 300 dpi = 1inch x 1 inch = Postage Stamp size print (photo quality)
To check any image for quality: Right-click on any image and select “Get Info” on a Mac or “Properties” on a PC, and a window will give you the size of the image. If displayed in pixels (1200x2000), divide by 300 = 4in x 5in photo quality If displayed as KB kilobytes, the image is probably too small for most layout designs. Images should be at least 1 MB megabyte or larger to be able to use as a full page in your yearbook. When accepting parent ads, try to request 1MB or larger!
Divide by 300 = 12.+ inches by 18.5 inches
