Exercise One: Brainstorm key words for primary headline

Key words in primary headlines pull readers into the spread. They also reflect the content of the dominant photo.

Examine these photos and list words that come to mind when you view each picture.

Choose the best words to use as the primary headline for each image and list those in the “primary headline” area for each picture.

This exercise can be completed individually or as a group. When you are finished with this exercise, save your work and send it to your teacher.
