Layout Numbering System
At the top each layout, you’ll find the corresponding number. Our layout numbering system is as follows:
• Portrait layouts start with P100 (P = Portrait)
• Activity layouts start with A1000 (A = Activity)
• DPS = Double Page Spread
Below some of the layouts, we’ve provided suggestions on what type of page these can be used on.

TIP: Borders* are an easy way to jazz up your page. On the website, you will notice we have specific layouts designed for borders. These can be identified with a faint dotted line in the preview image.

Portrait Flowing
There are four easy options to flow your portraits:
Drag and Drop
Simply grab your group and place them on the page. This is a great way to easily flow groups quickly.
Portrait Panel
Drag a portrait panel on the page. Adjust your head size, name style and placement and more.
Portrait Layout
Select from hundreds of layouts. Doesn’t matter how many portraits are in your group. Our website will adjust the layout for your group.
Flow from the Ladder Diagram
Don’t want to enter the book builder to flow portraits?
It’s simple! To flow from the ladder: Choose your page, select your layout and group and voila! Save your changes.
What if all of my portraits don’t fit on one page?!
If your portrait group doesn’t fit on one page, the portrait group panel will span as many pages as necessary for the number of portraits.
TIP: We recommend using portrait panels when you have multiple page flowing. Simply adjust your panel to your liking and flow the portraits. We suggest finalizing your panel layout and settings before flowing the portrait group(s).
TIP: Some of these layouts are designed to spread across two pages. Double-Page Spread layouts will be marked DPS. DPS
Custom Layouts
You can easily access the Custom Layouts section of the website by hovering over Book Builder in the top navigation and select Custom Layouts. Here you can create new and/or rename any previous custom layouts.
TIP: You can create single or double page portrait and activity layouts.

Yearbook Sections
Many yearbooks are organized by section. The following is a list of common yearbook sections:
Student Life
Features the activities in and out of school that directly affect students’ lives. Summer vacation, school trips, popular fashion styles—anything that is important to the students in your school.
Academics
In this section, use photos and captions to focus on both the big picture and the details that make learning fun!
Clubs & Organizations
Recognizes those participating in clubs and activities. These pages often include large group photos, but may also include fun candid photos.
Sports
An important part of many yearbooks, sports pages often include group photos as well as action shots.
Montage Pages
A montage is a creative arrangement of many photos in a collage style.
Favorites/Memorials
Favorites allow individual students to shine, or use them to add creative additions such as class surveys to the yearbook.
Ads
Advertising can go beyond local businesses. Many schools also offer recognition ads to reward student achievements and raise funds.
Autographs
Include autograph pages or an autograph section in the yearbook to ensure that students have space available for signatures and autographs.
All About Me
All About Me pages allow students to record personal memories from the school year.
