★ INTRO

We are very proud to introduce you to a new children’s online magazine, Lille Nord, from us in the cold North, Scandinavia. We thought there were missing a magazine that could inspire the creative and maybe not so creative urban parent on how to add a creative perspective to their life with kids. And also a magazine that is filled with all the cool design that the Nordic countries have to offer. Featuring a range of upcoming and established, Scandinavian designers, fun DIY projects and inspiration to your home, party and cooking, we guide you to easy recipies and fun ideas you can do together with your kids. The dream of giving something homemade, is what kickstarted this magazine. We guide and motivate but we do not dictate ... We hope you will enjoy this first issue.

Q&A

Barbara Bennett How long did you dream of opening your own vintage shop for kids?: I did not have the dream for long but I always knew that I had to do something creative. As younger I applied for the design school but did not get in. I ended up as a nurse instead. How did it start? : It started somewhat by accident. I was talking one day with a friend who suggested the idea to me. She told me of a contact who could deliver all the vintage clothes I needed. And only a few months

50

later I opened my shop! People have always encouraged me to do something like that and since there were so many reasons not to jump into it, I jumped. I’ve always had a passion for finding things at flea markets and I do it a lot. Í´m a collector. Does your children wear a lot of vintage? I enjoy putting them in vintage once in a while but I more often mix their clothes. www.vintagekids-cph.com

BLOGS WE ❤

NORTHERN BLOGS Lille Nord recommends three very inspiring Scandinavian blogs.

www.finelittleday.com/ is run by Elisabeth Dunker. She is blogging about art, crafts, interiors, books and patterns. But also things from her every day life. The blog is very much about appreciating everyday life. About creativity and eye candy in different forms. Creative expressions outside cultural norms and the love for handmade things – folk art, outsider art and kid’s art. emmas.blogg.se Emma started this blog in 2005 when she was working as a styling assistant on an interior magazine. She shares inspiring photos from the world’s best stylists and photographers, all in a Scandinavian style. The focus is on interior styling and photography, rather than products.

fridasfina.blogspot.com gathers inspiration, everyday images and everything nice in a blissful sprawling mix. Frida posts about her own daily life in Sweden renovating houses, interior design and her two children. It is all served in a very inspiring way.
