CLOUDCUCKOOLANDERS Friday 29 January 8pm It’s movie night! A quiet night in and a mad night out all at once. Using home truths, little white lies and wild fantasies, your hosts invite you on a hilarious and mysterious headtrip that crashes through old films, pop delusions and odd expressions of love. Drawing on both the domestic and the cinematic, La’Pelles Factory examine the minds of mad couples, personality cults and the changing faces of the cinema. CLOUDCUCKOOLANDERS is an exciting and unhinged show which explores some very peculiar partnerships. It’s two slightly unhinged people convincing you they’re sane. It confronts the acts of faith we ask of one another as we try to work out what it means to belong. They also throw a lot of popcorn about.

If we were never unhappy would happiness have meaning? How likely is it that Richard’s baby will be skewered by a stalactite of frozen urine falling from a plane and is it really worth him wasting his time thinking about it? Mon 25 - Thurs 28 April We have all encountered Shakespeare at some point in our lives, be it at school or in one of the 3000 words and phrases he invented, many of which trip off the tongue so easily: all’s well that ends well; in stitches; a wild goose chase; a heart of gold; too much of a good thing. But beyond the classroom and the memorial stage is William Shakespeare’s life’s work still relevant 400 years after his death?
Lincoln School of Fine & Performing Arts
SUPERNATURAL SHAKESPEARE Wednesday 27 April 7pm ‘Be thou a spirit of health or goblin damned, Bring with thee airs from heaven or blasts from hell, Be thy intents wicked or charitable, Thou comst in such a questionable shape, That I will speak with to thee (Hamlet 1.4.21-25)’
Over the course of three days in April well explore Shakespeare’s legacy through a series of accessible plays, lectures and creative responses asking what is Shakespeare now?
In an evening of performance, University of Lincoln undergraduates studying Staging The Supernatural will explore the paranormal strands that dominate many of Shakespeare’s plays.
A full line-up of events will be available in the New Year.
Patterns of superstition and belief have undoubtedly changed over the past 400 years and these now present interesting challenges to those looking to stage the supernatural to modern audiences.
Craig Morrow Artistic Director
From vengeful ghosts, to weird sisters, fairies, sprites, gods and devils, to the spirit of Shakespeare himself expect an uncanny evening of the fantastical.

Shakespeare’s Globe and Seabright Productions
SHAKESPEARE UNTOLD By Harper Ray and Adam Sibbald Based on the plays of William Shakespeare
Tuesday 26 April 7pm The stories you know from the characters you dont. This family-friendly double bill comes from London’s world-renowned venue, Shakespeare’s Globe. In Romeo Untold, the story of Shakespeare’s starcrossed lovers Romeo and Juliet is retold through the eyes of the Capulet Ball’s party planner. Titus Untold retells Shakespeare’s goriest tragedy, Titus Andronicus, as seen from the kitchen of Titus’ piemaker. These shows premiered to great critical and popular acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe, and are now touring internationally. Rediscover two Shakespearean classics together in just two hours including an interval. “Succeeds brilliantly. There is a generally held wisdom that Shakespeare is not for the very young. This completely disproves this idea.” THE TIMES “When The Globe set out to make Untold, it had two main aims: to introduce young audiences to Shakespeare, and create good shows in their own right. They’ve achieved both.” THE SCOTSMAN

CLARE TEAL Friday 13 May 7.30pm As much as she thoroughly enjoys fronting her Big Band or her Hollywood Orchestra, or presenting her weekly show on BBC Radio 2, award winning jazz singer Clare Teal still revels in performing in more intimate venues. Getting close to an audience is a thrilling experience for Clare. She engages in a wonderful musical (and often spoken) conversation with the audience and they in turn feel that they really have witnessed something personal and very special. From The Great American and British Songbooks to the music made popular by her heroes, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day and Peggy Lee to more contemporary covers and original material Clare loves to create a melting pot of styles and genres, but all sung in her inimitable style. Beautiful melodies, fabulous arrangements and all interspersed with Clare’s warm and witty storytelling.
