BENEFICIARY
GOOD SAMARITAN HOME Good Samaritan Home is a Pro-Active, Participating & People Centered Charity Organization to House, nurturing & caring for underprivileged & orphaned children. It was founded in January 1999 by Albert Ong and YM Ong, a former pastor and his wife. Good Samaritan Home cared for children who came from families where parents have abandoned them, or where a parent is unable to cope with divorce, or where the child has lost one or both parents. It is now a home to 28 children, whose age range from 5 to 18 years old.

STATION GAME The game that we proposed is a station game whereby each stations represents one country. The aim of the game is to foster cultural awareness in the children. Each stations is to propose a game or an activity which is sufďŹ ciently signiďŹ cant to represent the country. Children will get to experience different culture of diverse community and learn knowledge throughout the game session. To further enhance the experience, a small physical booklet imitating a real-life passport is used to collect sticker after playing game at each stations. The booklet is to be given to the children as a souvenir.
COUNTRIES
HAWAII LEI MAKING Lei is a ower garland or wreath native to Hawaii. It is a traditional symbol representing love, friendship, celebration, honor or greeting.

Tissue paper or colored paper Paper owers can be premade or made during the activity String Markers and pens for decoration, etc. Scissors Flower template Needle
ACTIVITY Children will be making flower leis. By using tissue paper or colored paper, they can cut out the shapes and create flowers. They can decorate the flowers as they like using markers and pens. When sufficient flowers are made, they can be threaded through a string and tied together to make a flower garland.

HAWAII HAWAIIAN HULA DANCE It was developed in the Hawaiian Islands by the Polynesians who originally settled there. The hula dramatizes or portrays the words of the oli or mele in a visual dance form.

ACTIVITY Children will be getting involved with the Hawaiian culture, learning the hula. They will first make a simple hula skirt out of raffia string and flowers, and securing it around their waist. They will proceed to learn a simple but traditional dance of Hawaii.

MEXICO PINATA A piñata is a container often made of papier-mâché, pottery, or cloth; it is decorated, and filled with small toys or candy, or both, and then broken as part of a ceremony or celebration

Premade Pinata to let the kids decorate using post it note or colour paper. Blindfold the kids. Then hang the pinata somewhere high or tree. The kids take turn to hit the pinata until it break. Once it break, the candy inside will fall out.

MEXICO MARACA Maraca is a latin musical instrument that you shake , the stones or beans rattle against the hollow case in time to the beat of the music. Most traditional maracas are made out of dried, hollow gourds or coconut shells, and they're ďŹ lled with dry beans or pebbles.

Firstly, kids will choose their basic form either plastic bottle / can. Secondly, they will put some rice and beans inside. Next, the decoration of maraca using coloured paper and patterned tape is created. Finally, shake it off according to their mood.

JAPAN Kingyo Sukui (FISH SCOOPING) A traditional Japanese game usually at festival where a person is given a Poi and they need to scoop the goldfish into a blow without breaking the fragile poi. They are able to keep all the fishes that they caught.

Children will be given a set of Poi and bowl Given few minutes to scoop as many item from the pool as they can without breaking the Poi Points/Prize will be given according to the amount of items they scooped.

JAPAN ONIGIRI MAKING A traditional Japanese rice ball that is made with plain rice and is formed into a triangular shape that is filled with meat or vegetable seasonings.

BADGE
The shirts are designed and to be worn during the activity day by all committees. At the end of the day, shirts will be given out to all children as a souvenirs. Shirt sizes of all children will be updated by the person-in-charge.
A variety of badges are designed with different motivational quotes. They are to be given out to children as a souvenir as well.
