BJFF – Players Wanted / Trials for Various Age Groups… BJFF are looking for players who would like to join the biggest junior football club on the Fylde Coast, to add to existing Squads for summer training, friendlies and tournaments, ahead of the new season (September 2012). BJFF – Family Fun Day and Manager / Coach Aid Soccer Challenge 2012… Our BJFF does Soccer Aid style shootout was a roaring success, with our Under 11’s and above age groups beating our Under 10’s and below by a comfortable 5-2 scoreline. Winning Manager, our long-serving Treasurer, Mick Coltman, was delighted with the performance over Nick Hewitson’s younger charges. Goals from Dan Parker (2), ex-pro Andy Lyons, who also hit the bar with an outrageous effort from the half-way line, Chairman Andy Griffiths and Gary Waters were enough despite two from Richard Cookney in return. Man of the Match was Under 11’s Predators Manager Daz Hewson for an outstanding display at left-back. Afterwards, the large crowd enjoyed a BBQ and fun and games on the Gala Field.
BJFF - Football for ALL SKILLS Academy Initiative – Re-Branding... Our “Football for ALL Skills Academy” welcomes children who are new to football, or who would just like some extra training, with the emphasis on a fun and friendly environment. Headed up by Level 2 coaches, Joe Rooney and Adam Monk, we have two age-group sessions on a Sunday morning. We welcome Boys and Girls aged between 4 and 8, each and every Sunday, from 10:00am - 11:15am, and then from 11:15am until 12:30pm we welcome Boys and Girls aged between 9 and 13. Trainers, Football Boots, Shin Pads and a Drink recommended. The BJFF Club House, with our new 3G Astro-Turf surface, is on the corner of Kelvin Road and Carr Road. Each regular participant will be presented with their very own Skills Academy tangerine training kit.
