The museum is now open for the 2024 season. Opening hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10.30am - 4pm and Bank Holiday Mondays. A small admission charge will apply to view the galleries, and exhibits in the boat-hall. Children under 18 and carers have free entry. No admission charge is needed for visitors to the Coffee House and shop.
We are hoping to have the house next to the museum, which has many historical features, open for viewing soon.
Museum Book Shop, next to the museum, will be open same days as the museum 10.30am - 3.30pm. Call in and browse. Majority of books are priced at only 50p each.
The next 'Friends of the Museum' talk of the season is Wednesday June 5th, 2pm in the upstairs room when Stephen Brown will give information on 'A look at the Inshore Fishery from the 1960's to 2010'. The talk on Wednesday July 3rd at 2pm is 'The Fleetwood 92' - our Commonwealth War Graves by Cathy Shepherd. Seating numbers are restricted so please don't arrive late.
The next walk on Wednesday June 19th leaves the Museum at 1.30pm and features 'A 1950s Shopping and Market Day in Fleetwood'. The following walk July 10th 'Development of Fleetwood Seafront for Visitors' is also from the museum at 1.30pm. These walks must be booked in advance at Museum reception or by phone as group numbers are limited.
Our popular monthly 'Songs at the Museum' on Friday June 21st. and July 19th are held in the upstairs room. Everyone is welcome.
Our FREE Children's Craft Sessions will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays during the May school holidays and also the Summer holidays. Please book a place in advance with Museum reception or by phone as numbers are limited.
