The Fleetwood workingmen's club is a welcoming and friendly club to all ages young and old and welcomes new members throughout the year. Our main aims are to give support to people with Parkinson’s Disease, their families and friends. We are a small independent group and meet on a weekly basis at our hall at the top of Bold Street, right next to the North Euston Hotel. Our meetings are run on a “drop in” basis every Wednesday between 10am and 3pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served in a very informal, comfortable atmosphere. We also have a session with exercises especially chosen for Parkinson sufferers but helpers and volunteers can join in too. These exercises will not halt the progression of the disease but they do promote a feeling of well being and are mentally stimulating (as well as being a good laugh!) The exercise session is at 12noon. So if you are affected by Parkinson’s Disease in any way whatsoever, why not give us try.
