for Cleveleys Seafront Cleveleys iconic promenade has clocked up its 25th award adding to its impressive list of regional and national honours.
Funded by DEFRA, the Environment Agency and ERDF through the Northwest Development Agency, the project has regenerated the area and provided a much loved visitor attraction.
Award number 25 sees the stunning seafront recognised in the prestigious Considerate Constructors 14th National Site Awards, which celebrate the UK’s best sites and recognise their efforts to improve the image of the construction industry. The highly acclaimed multi-million project was recently awarded a bronze after being selected from over 8,500 entries. It was showcased nationally as an award-winning site in recognition of the project’s outstanding achievements to deliver high standards of best practice across all areas. And this very special coastal improvements project was also highly praised for its exceptional achievement in the category of neighbours. Known locally as the ‘People’s Promenade’, because of the involvement of the Cleveleys community, the public have been involved at all stages of the project with residents experiencing minimum disruption during the works.
