And because the entire conservatory will be strengthened and insulated rain noise is reduced by 95%, so you can enjoy that dinner party without worrying whether it’s going to rain.

What is Counselling? That is a question few people can answer it may be easier to say what it isn’t.
It is not having someone tell you what to do, or how to fix problems, it is not telling you how to behave, it is not a therapy which will give you a quick fix; it may sometimes get worse before it gets better because facing our fears and dilemmas is not always easy. A counsellor will help you understand your thoughts, feelings and actions - by using reflective techniques to assist you in evaluating your situations or problems and find either a way of coping with the results and living with them or to find a way of resolving the issues facing you. I initially began developing as a counsellor when I was a Singles Club Organiser in the 80’s and 90’s, I found myself spending a lot of time listening to and trying to help members who were facing a multitude of issues, particularly around loss, bereavement and break-up of relationships. I enrolled on a counselling course to ensure I was getting it right - I was not! I had intended to take a basic course to help me feel comfortable with what I had been doing but became so interested in the concept that I continued training to post graduate level, which led to my becoming a full time Counsellor working with clients who faced addiction problems. Underneath most addiction problem are generally other issues which alcohol was helping to block out.

A large growing on facility houses two 45 tonne ponds (10,000 gallons ) which they use to further develop Koi. A Regulation 23 area is provided on site thereby complying with their certification as a CEFAS authorised importer of Koi. All hail the hall with anniversary ale! Something’s brewing to mark Lytham Hall’s 250th milestone anniversary. The ancestral home of the former Squires of Lytham, the Clifton family, are serving up a special ale to celebrate 250 years since the existing Georgian mansion was built.
Andrew said: “We are aiming to produce a very pale, blonde 4.0% ale with a long lasting creamy white head which will make a refreshing summer drink.”
Hall chiefs have teamed up with Lytham Brewery to produce their own ale and hope that beer lovers across the Fylde will join them in a toast to the hall which was built by John Carr of York between 1757-64 and incorporates the remains of an early 17th Century manor and the original Benedictine Priory.
Following the Ale’s appearance at Lytham Club Day there will be supplies left over for the Hall’s official birthday celebrations in September. CAMRA would also like to feature the beer at their september Beer Festival at Lowther Pavilion, Lytham.
By showing their support – by sinking hundreds of pints of ‘Lytham Hall 1764’ - beer lovers will also be boosting the Hall renovation fund. The big-hearted Lytham Brewery has agreed to donate barrels of the beer for supporters to sample at the Hall’s popular café – with the full price of a pint sold on the premises all going to fund the hall repairs! An additional £5 per cask is being given by the brewery to the Hall, for every one of the 100 or more firkins of their unique beer, it sells to Fylde Coast pubs, bars and clubs. The beer has been produced by father and son team Andrew and James Booker at their booming micro brewery operation in Lord Street, St Annes.
It is hoped the special ale will increase Lytham Hall’s profile. With work set to start in ernest on the interior and exterior of the hall as part of a £5.9m restoration project in 2015. Visitors have already seen a huge difference in the historic parkland with extensive work on the woodlands, gardens and Mount. Marianne said: ‘When we approached Lytham Brewery with the idea of an ale to celebrate 250 years since finishing the Georgian hall, we didn’t dare hope it would be received with such enthusiasm. Lytham Brewery really cares about the history and heritage of Lytham and is helping us to look after Lytham hall. Our thanks go to Andrew and James, Will and Julie for this exciting opportunity to see the Hall feature in pubs all over the North West. An annual fun walk from The Beach Cafe in St.Annes proceeding either south to The Windmill on Lytham Green and back to the Beach cafe via Fairhaven lake OR in a north direction to Blackpool Tower and back to the Beach Cafe where refreshments are available. Car parking is also arranged free of charge for participants at the Beach Cafe car park. It is entitled “WHEEL & WALK” and everyone is welcome - any age - either by wheelchair, mobility scooter, walking, jogging etc. the choice is yours! The distance is approx 10km. Come in fancy dress if you like! (prize for the best!!) There is an entrance fee of £5.00 per person which includes a T-shirt and a bottle of water. Every penny raised by donations, sponsorship entrance fees etc. will be spent on helping local people suffering from this crippling neurological condition.
