Saturday sees us move to the highlight of the weekend, the extremely popular and prestigious Black Tie Ball where you can dance the night away under the stars until 1.00 am. Starting at 7.00pm with the Beating of the Retreat by the Band of the Kings Division and then singing led by Katie Spitfire – this is a night for all true patriots, before dancing to the

Following on from this will be music in The Square performed by various bands before moving across the road to Lytham Green, the stage for our Family Fun Day. With events for all the family this is the finale of the five day event so why not come out and join in the fun.

Sunday begins with the raising of the flag at Charlie’s Mast and then our annual St George’s Day Parade through the streets of Lytham. This year promises to be better than ever with marching bands, clog dancers and the like. This is a great chance for all the community to take part. There are four different classes you can enter: Best Float, Best Walking Group, Best Individual and Best English Classic Car. The winners will receive £500, with the runner up in each class getting £250 and third place collecting £100. So let’s all get out and make a great effort. The theme for all is of course, England, and St George’s Day.
