Nature of the project: Ecological Park on Rubbish
Location: Hangzhou, China
Area: 2210ha
Project: Individual work
Time: 2019/10- 2019/12
Professor Huang Fang
Tianziling landfill, in Hangzhou Banshan National Forest Park. More than 8 million tons of municipal waste have been treated since it was put into use in 1991. It is one of the largest landfills in Hangzhou.
With the rapid growth of domestic waste in Hangzhou, Tianziling will be closed. Advanced monitoring and treatment system have been equipped for landfill waste. But the restoration of the ground environment is facing challenges.
The project is based on growth and has three levels, during the growth of vegetation, the growth of ecological park, and the symbiosis of human beings and ecology, the landfill as an open place in the city, the ecological park.
So as to achieve a balanced symbiosis between human activities and the habitats for animals and plants.

Nature of the project: Community Park Renovation

Time 2018/10- 2018/12
Professor: Zhu Erguo
As a high-density commnity park, the site has a certain cohesion of public space. Current situation: now the community park is only made up of square and green land. The square has a single function and much of the infrastrcture has been diverted for other purposes. The green land is mainly for ornamental value with low utilazation rate. Due to the spatial constraints for residents' activities, they hope to have a more open and diversified community activity places.
By adding different functional areas and supporting infrastructure, While meeting the space requirements of a single activity group, the project also has the function of sharing, so that different groups, like old people, children and young people, can play together.

As an intangible cultural heritage, Huigang village is rich in architectural and cultural resources. However, due to its serious “hollowing out”, aging population structure, poor living and tourism space, the village shows a declining trend.
This porject is taking use of the principle of traditional residential courtyard structure, to repair the village public space system, improve the neighborhood relationship, and promote cultural and commercial value.

With the openness of universities and the diversity of campus life, the traditional campus landscape has been unable to meet the needs of students and urban residents.
This project makes full use of the surrounding ecological resources and the advantages of regional tourism to redesign the current campus landscape. It connects the campus landscape with the urban public space to create an open campus landscape with the intergration of study, life and leisure.
