There are lots of great concerts to enjoy in our 2021 2022 season and as a Leap member you get access to free and discounted tickets at Liverpool Philharmonic. We wanted to let you know that we will continue to implement additional measures at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall due to COVID-19, for our staff and audience’s safety and well-being, and most importantly to ensure your enjoyment of live music (see page 5 for further details). If you’re not sure if a concert or performance will be suitable for you or your family please get in touch, our team will be happy to advise. We hope you like our latest brochure and the events we have on offer – if you think we have missed anything or have any comments please do let us know, we’d love to know what you think. Audience Entry Requirements - COVID-19 Status For entry to all events, ticketholders aged 18 and over (unless medically exempt), will need to demonstrate on arrival at the venue proof of COVID-19 status by providing:

Darkness falls across the land, the Midnight Hour is close at hand! Liverpool Philharmonic’s Phantom Bell is all set to chime Midnight and then the fantastic fun will begin!
The whole family is invited to experience the power of a full symphony orchestra at this lively, interactive concert. Fidgeting is allowed and fancy dress is positively encouraged.
This Thriller of a concert will take us from Halloween to Hogwarts with a specially spooky story version of Danse Macabre and music from the video game Luigi’s Haunted Mansion. Come along in your devilish disguises to hear the Orchestra at their spine chilling best!
The concert will last about an hour.

Catrin Finch has been called the “Queen of Harps”, the artist who took a Welsh tradition and renewed it for the 21st century. Seckou Keita, meanwhile, is the most charismatic – and captivating – kora (harp lute) player of our time: an artist immersed in centuries of Senegalese music, who’s amazed and delighted listeners all over the world. Two great harpists, two great traditions; both united by a passion to communicate. Together, in this one-off concert with the Orchestra, they’ll do exactly that. The world premiere of newly scored arrangements of selected pieces from Catrin and Seckou’s first two albums – Clychau Dibon (2013) and SOAR (2018) – as well as new music, will be featured.

As part of the Tomorrow’s Warriors 30th anniversary celebrations, Nu Civilisation Orchestra leads a musical celebration of 50 years of What’s Going On by Marvin Gaye as part of a UK tour. The tour will see Nu Civilisation Orchestra, with the addition of special guests, reflect on our current times through the lens of Marvin Gaye’s incredible catalogue and will integrate a local spoken word artist.
Join our all-star cast for this show-stopping tribute to the undisputed King of Broadway. With a career that ranges from A Little Night Music, Company and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, to Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and Sunday in the Park With George, Stephen Sondheim is Broadway royalty – a genius whose unforgettable melodies and wisecracking lyrics slip down as enjoyably (and as stylishly) as an espresso martini.

Young Zoltán Kodály escapes from school in the Hungarian town of Galánta, and hears the world’s wildest folk band. Béla Bartók faces exile and uncertainty with a blazing full orchestra – and wraps it all up with an exuberant shout of joy. And Domingo Hindoyan welcomes back Venezuelan trumpet sensation Pacho Flores, joined by cuatro (small guitar) player Leónidas Rondón, for still more high-octane musical daredevilry, plus a sultry little number from the king of tango, Astor Piazzolla. If you heard Flores perform in January 2020…well, enough said!

The Nu Civilisation Orchestra is a world-class ensemble brought together by Tomorrow’s
Warriors’ Artistic Director Gary Crosby OBE, with a vision of bringing new expression to classic repertoire and providing a platform for some of the most exciting young musicians in the UK today. Conducted by Peter Edwards, the 24-piece orchestra will make a perfectly timed creative exploration and celebration of Gaye’s seminal masterpiece, five decades after its release.

If you want to get closer to the acts you love, experience new artists, and enjoy high quality music in a relaxed and friendly venue, then come and join us in the Music Room – Liverpool Philharmonic’s specially designed space for more intimate, live gigs.
A quintet with a well-stocked armoury of stringed instruments, added with the rhythmic energy of flute and drums and a bagful of joint-jumping tunes, these boys from the South-West England create a real dynamic, which is inherent in both their furious dance medleys, as well as their interestingly arranged original pieces.
Situated on the corner of Myrtle Street and Sugnall Street at the back of Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Music Room is an informal space offering a programme of roots, folk, classical ensembles and popular music.
Putting the groove into a selection of traditional and original European Folk music dating from the medieval times to present day, their impeccable technique and outstanding musicianship raises the roof in every place they play. Most recently, they have toured France, Switzerland and Australia, as well as remaining a firm fixture on the UK festival scene.

Music Room is a home for emerging Liverpool artists, a new space for city festival events and a space to try out new things.

Accessible WCs Three ambulant accessible unisex WCs and two fully accessible WCs – allowing right hand or left hand transfer – are available in the foyer. A further fully accessible WC can be found at stalls level close to Box 16 and an additional ambulant accessible WC is located in both the male and female toilets in the basement.
Changing Places Toilet A Changing Places toilet is located backstage on the ground floor of Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. It is most easily accessed via the Stage Door entrance on Caledonia Street, but can be accessed from anywhere within the building if required – please speak to a steward who will guide you.

A number of the aisle seats in the stalls are transfer seats. Transfer seats have movable armrests for those who would like to transfer out of their wheelchair and can be used by others with limited mobility.
The loop system in the main Auditorium requires infrared equipment which can be requested from us. You can choose between equipment which works with a hearing aid or one which works independently.
Leap into Live Music! is limited to one membership per household. Tickets for Leap into Live Music! members are subject to availability and offers may be withdrawn at any time.
