The Iowa Red Angus Association would like to welcome you to the 49th Annual Red Angus Classic Sale on February 9th at 2:00 p.m. (or 30 minutes after the Maine-Anjou Sale) held in conjunction with the Iowa Beef Expo at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. The consignors again this year have brought some of their best set of bulls, heifers, and some frozen genetics to the sale. This Iowa Red Angus sale is one of the oldest and longest standing sale in the United States. As a board we are excited to continually see more involvement of the Iowa Junior members participating at the beef expo. These young ladies and gentlemen are our future not only in the Red Angus breed but more importantly in the cattle industry in some shape or form. We also want to give a special thanks the Petitt Family with their contributions towards their donation to a very deserving junior again this year. Their dedication to helping another junior as memorial for their son Preston should not go unnoticed.
If you are unable to attend our sale, please reach out to any of the board members, ring men or consignors that are listed. We will do whatever it takes to help answer any and all questions that you may have; as well work with all buyers on getting their purchases delivered. The sale will be broadcasted on liveauctions.tv and they will be posting videos on all lots. If you don't feel comfortable using the internet for bidding, feel free to reach out to anyone listed in the catalog. We would like to invite everyone to attend our annual banquet on Saturday evening February 8th at 6:30 p.m. at the Bright Grandview Golf Course. Again this year, a soup lunch will be served prior the sale at the Iowa Red Angus booth on February 9th. Thank you for taking the time to review the entries and the continued support of the Iowa Red Angus Classic!
Respectfully,
The Iowa Red Angus Association and the Iowa Red Angus Show and Sale Committee

WANGEN REDLINE 306L
You might recognize 306L from last year's catalog. Unfortunately a few weeks before Iowa our weather turned warm and a few scratches later his hair coat was less than appeasing. Regardless of the fact, 306L is a KOTC son backed by our Emily cow family. This dude is a mack truck! We love the natural width, added muscle and ideal build. His dam might be the highest dollar generating cow we have ever owned producing several high sellers and sale features on both heifer and bull consignments. 306L covered our cow herd this summer and we are excited to see his first offspring. Ready for HEAVY use!!
Sire of Lot 2
WANGEN PACESETTER
WEBR DOC HOLLIDAY 2N
435M marks a unique opportunity to acquire a direct daughter to the BJF Kitty 9059W donor. After helping work on several of 9059’s progeny at Weber’s we jumped at the opportunity to own her. Several full and maternal sibs to 435M have demanded $10,000 to $20,000 and we think this one might be the best one yet! Mark the maternal influence of Doc Holiday and Cherokee Canyon in her pedigree, some of the most maternal sire groups in the industry. Add in her eye appeal, balance and an excellent build, there is no question this one will be fun to show next year and even better as a front pasture cow in production!!
Note the sire on this one… Ripper! The 2023 high selling bull at this very sale to Kelly Haun. His first calf crop exceeded our expectations and 406M is a testament to the future years of use for 212K in our herd. If you are looking to add length and grow without sacrificing power and look, Pacesetter is your man! His mother has it all; tons of pin width and power, the foot shape and loose build we dream of, and probably the best udder on the farm! She boasts an astonishing 106 MPPA with several bulls in production and a high selling female working for the Buchert family. We know you will find this one sale day!
Lot 4
TLC MACHO MAN 420M
This guy gets us excited phenotypically but he's not just good to look at. His weaning and yearling numbers paired with his carcass figures make him very appealing on paper as well. This Prestige son out of an awesome Red Box x Alaynah cow just flat checks a lot of boxes. Structure, stoutness, body, and a balanced set of numbers that are exceptional where they matter! I think he works in both registered and commercial settings.
We think this heifer can ring the bell at any level and can make a donor that will leave an impact for years to come. Her look, structure, body and shape are hard to combine especially in this breed. Her dam is a full sib to the Alaynah cow and her sire is a Red Box son that we think the world of. Better own this one if you want to be in the hunt when it matters. Seller reserves the right to 2 successful flushes at the buyer’s convenience and the sellers expense.
Lot 6 KLENTS 9007
Well-made female with proven track record. Division Champion at Red Angus Youth Expo, Iowa State Fair & NAJRAE. She has a terrific beginner showman attitude. This female has the right combination of maternal features along with extra power and punch.
Lot 7 LENTS OPAL 726
Lents Opal 726 is an eye-catching female. A daughter of a multiple time Iowa champion, division winner at the American Royal, Iowa State Fair and Reserve Division winner at Oklahoma Cattle Congress. She has plenty of body and rib shape but yet flawless in her build and structure.

TJC 752E MAXIMUS 2M
Oh Margo, what a bright future you have. This beauty is stacked with genetic greatness with her dam being a full sib to the infamous Power Eye and my bull’s footnotes tells how strongly I feel about Maxed Out. She backs it up phenotypically with a long, smooth stride allowing her to show off her attractive, balanced look at all times. She should be staying at home but after much consideration, we’ve decided to let another lucky individual enjoy her assuredly exciting future.
Consigned by: Shady
If you’re in the market for a true beef bull- look no further than Maximus. A flexible, loose structured stud that’s packed full of muscle. Combined with a moderate 70 pound birthweight and a big weaning weight, my interest would be peaked. The Maxed Out sire group has greatly benefitted our operation with 2 more in our private treaty bull pen and multiple in the replacement pen. His dam, 752E, also raised a past top seller in the 2022 IBE Red Angus Sale.

Katina 425M is an attractive made female sired by Good Thunder and out of a productive Razor daughter. Katina 425M’s pedigree combines sires such as Card Shark, Mulberry 26P and Sakic. Katina 425M is a structurally correct female with length of spine and depth and spring of rib. Katina will be a productive addition to your herd.

MISS FLORA 41
KJL/CLZB COMPLETE 7000E LEACHMAN PLEDGE
Miss Flora 41 is a bigger framed production heifer. She also comes with some extra width and power. Her sire is Bieber Complete 2054 has numbers of 5.99 IMF and 128 ratio. Her dam is KBCC Flora 101J that I bought from the Iowa beef Expo in 2021. She will be a great addition to your cow herd.

EVRA JOSIE L154
MISS DIRECT HIT 43
I purchased Josie L154 in the 2024 IA Beef Expo sale from the Vinton Red Angus program with the IARA Heifer grant. Josie and I covered a lot of miles last summer in Missouri, Iowa, and the JRAA Expo in Oklahoma. This DAMAR TRUMP daughter is very feminine in her makeup, has a wonderful disposition, and will be a great addition to any herd. She is AI bred to the powerful MLK CRK FIVE STAR bull that is producing some Awesome looking calves across the country, this calf could easily pay for this heavy bred female! AI bred to MLK CRK FIVE STAR 2232 on 5/16/24. Due date 2/22/25.

Miss Direct Hit 43 is a heavy muscled and deep bodied heifer. She is the granddaughter of Pie Quarterback 789. He is a sire known for his calving ease and growth. He's from a notable female line and is said to have daughters that are quickly becoming herd leaders. Her mother AWEB Direct Hit, I bought from the Iowa Beef Expo in 2022. She will be a great cow to have in your herd.

LR HARVEST MOON
Over Draft Pick has been used fairly heavily around here and with good reason. We’ve never been disappointed by the quality and look he put into his calves. HR Harvest Moon’s dam is a daughter of Over Draft Pick. GCC Harvest Moon was introduced to us by Grisworld Cattle Company. This young sire is soggy made, powerful and his feet and legs are awesome. Harvest Moon is young and most likely an outcross to most Red Angus breeders. LR HARVEST MOON is the CATTLEMEN’S KIND!
MCRTN Marco 03L is an exciting herd sire prospect that has been a standout from an early age. His sire, JCL Polo, was selected the Grand Champion Red Angus bull at the 2021 American Royal and 2022 Cattlemen's Congress. His dam, JCL Molly 03H, was a division champion at both the 2020 American Royal and 2021 Cattlemen's Congress. If you're searching for a herd bull that will take your program to the next level - then step right up, he has the capabilities to catapult any breeding program forward!

KLIN BRANDY 123M
Klink Brandy 123M is the kind that we started in this breed with goals to create. She is exceptional in her design. Her quality would be just as easy received in the show ring as at the lead of the replacement pen. She is a very special heifer that will be hard to let go of but excited to present her to the public. She is out of Duff HD that sold for $150,000 and was the top selling Red Angus sire in the 2022 Power Plus Bull Sale.

KLIN PHOEBE 302M
Klink Phoebe 302M is a heifer that has exceeded our expectations for this year. She has the structure and body that you look for in the Red Angus breed. Regards to her structure build, squareness, flexibility, body shape and balance, this one is of high caliber in our minds and has a great attitude to go with it. She will be a fun one not just to be around but to breed from. She is out of Custom Made 505C.
M1 HOT LAP
WKRA M1 HOT LAPS
DAMAR TRUMP C512
ribbed, and handily fills her stride when set into motion. Out of the popular Damar Trump bull, she has the numbers and physique to comfortably make her place as a productive female.
Herd Sire Alert! This dark cherry red 2-year-old bull is truly one of the most unique animals we have ever raised. This Prestige son is going to have a major impact wherever he goes! His mother hits a homerun every year. His flawless build and structure, coupled with his striking profile with added volume is exactly what the Red Angus breed needs! He is monster footed and extremely powerful.

JTVM MAGNOLIA 439M
This heifer has got it going on! She is a full sib to the 2-year-old bull we are have consigned this year! She is level topped, extremely sound, and great footed, and functional! Not only is she a Prestige daughter but she is loaded with quality and some really unique pieces. This heifer is going to have a heck of a show career, and will look great in that donor pen!

SIX MILE JOHN WICK 882E RED U-2 RECKONING
All I can say about this heifer is she is a knockout, she has been on everyone’s radar since she hit the ground last spring. This heifer is going to leave her mark where ever she goes. She comes with an added shot of body, power and substance with an awesome look to her. Super Soggy belly, very flashy with a great phenotype! She is out of a very dominant first calf heifer! We see big plans in her future!

363L is a high growth bull with a WW ratio of 113 and is also in the top 8% for WW and the top 14% for YW in the Red Angus breed. With the high feeder calf prices and the extra pounds that this guy is going to contribute he is only going to make someone some extra money. Big topped, big nutted and stands on a very excellent set of feet. His maternal grandmother is still in production, so longevity is a big potential with this guy and his daughters.
Bootjack out at the Bet on Red sale. She is also a granddaughter of the Griffin Essence cow that was sold at the Iowa Beef Expo several years ago. Respect makes fantastic mothers and this one is hard to let go.
GNRA PENNY 311
Perfect Penny is out of the Treelane Perfect Storm & Red Soo Line Penny 5295 which goes back to Red Crescent Creek FR Chief 7 & Forester Chief 7182 E T whose dam is Forester 591 , the $50,000 cow which sold to Chicken Creek. 311 is a solid numbered female with great disposition, good feet & legs, dam is a very good uddered cow we bought in the Sooline dispersal. She should make an excellent addition to any herd. 311 would be a fantastic purchase for a young person starting their herd. The Stockmarket semen has ended and females are in big demand. She is bred to our Berwald Complete 2054 bull – whose semen is selling today also. Really Great Bull!! Due late Feb. early March.

GNRA MISS STRTCH 322
Here is an EXCITING Bred Heifer. These Stock Market heifers have been greatly sought after. Semen is gone so there won’t be many more made & sold. 322 is topped off with a Red Thomas Jefferson Dam that has numbers to die for. Additional premium she is bred to our Berwald Complete 2054 bull so the calf should be a very exciting solid pedigree. 322’s dam goes back to the Strch cow we bought from the Crowfoot dispersal in Canada. She was also the dam of the 4 ACES Bull that Bar E L bought for $30,000 that was widely used in Canada. She is worthy of someone’s donor pen. We have several more at home or we probably wouldn’t let her go. Her calves should be great to come back to the expo. Due late Feb or early March.

BARN MABELLE
This one is my kind and what we are striving for. Brood cow to the max in a functional and striking profile. The amount of capacity this heifer carriers from flank to fore rib is hard to duplicate. Big boned, big solid hoof tied into a great leg set. We didn’t get many calves from Kip, but they have been good. Her paternal grandam needs no introduction in the Red Angus breed Damar Mimi W085. EPD spread from -1.5 BW to 111 WW yet maintaining a HB EPD in the top 27% of the breed. Looking for a cornerstone to build a program on that can go multiple ways…we feel she fits the mold.
This may be one of the most uniquely bred heifers we have offered. It’s difficult to find a heifer in the Red Angus breed with a front third like Mallory’s. She carries it back to plenty of natural width and base with a ideal leg set and structure for the most critical of breeders. We did not anticipate a show heifer of this caliber coming from this pedigree. Her sire, Perserverance, comes from the Loosli program known for its maternal proficiency. Show heifer look with a rare brood cow pedigree is the building block to invest in and move your program forward. We are currently waiting on blood work to be completed for final registration. Dark red hair coat to boot!

This bull will take your eye. He gets easier to look at the older he gets. He is the deepest ribbed most powerful bull we have ever raised at the ranch. DEZ is nearly perfect in his foot design. He is a thick topped bull that has tremendous thickness through his stifle. He keeps his head up and loves to show off in the pasture. We have seven calves on the ground and one of his bulls may be this year’s top prospect. They all have his rib shape. In addition, I think he will work as a calving ease bull even though his numbers don’t show it. His calves’ birth weights were: 79, 64, 82, 81, 89, 76, and 76.

The dam of these embryos, Lena A02, is one of the top donor cows in the Rouse herd. She is a moderate framed, heavy milking cow with a great disposition and terrific udder. She has raised 9 natural calves along with 24 ET calves to date, with more on the way. Her natural calves have posted an average birth ratio of 98, weaning ratio of 109, and yearling ratio of 107. Her EPDs put her at the top of the breed for ProS, Herd Builder, calving ease, milk, and stayability. Her natural calf by Bieber Dynasty brought $24,000 at the 2024 Bieber Bull Sale. The sire, Rollin Deep was one of the most influential bulls in the breed in his day. He has proven to sire tremendous depth of body and thickness and his daughters have made great cows. This mating offers proven genetics with a balanced EPD profile and a pedigree with a lot of mating flexibility.
