SELLING LOTTERY STYLE
$10 per ticket, sold at auction. Winner will be drawn from collection of all tickets sold. All proceeds to benefit the Minnesota Junior Hereford Breeders. Our thanks to the Hanson family of J&J Hanson Herefords for this donation!
This year marked a turning point for the 3 generations of J&J Hanson Herefords. Rhett was old enough to start his junior career this summer, marking the beginning of another generation into the Hereford breed. Brandon & Jody became the primary owners of the herd with Jim & Jeri continuing to support. In recognition of this pivotal year, we wanted to give back to an organization that has provided so many opportunities for our family!
New in 2024!
50% of the proceeds from Lots 1 - 4 will be donated to the Minnesota Hereford Breeders State Fair 4-H Purse awarded to the Champion and Reserve Hereford Heifers and Champion & Reserve Hereford Cow/Calf pairs. The 4-H Purse is designed to reward those exhibiting and promoting Hereford genetics in Minnesota. Our acknowledgments to Neil Farms, Lawrence Herefords, Freking Cattle, Klages Herefords, J&J Hanson Herefords, and Heins Herefords for spearheading these cash awards.

Champion Hereford Cow/Calf
2024 Champion Hereford Heifer
4328 has written a book over the last five years—she has now raised 3 National Champions in the last 3 years. And her calves have been averaging over $10,000 the past five years. These numbers are very impressive for a 10 year old donor. The mating to Liberty is already proven, two daughters were born in 2023. One has won her division at all 3 Texas majors in the spring of 2024, the other sister was Reserve Division in the Bred & Owned show at the JNHE this past summer, and Champion Hereford heifer at the Minnesota Beef Expo.
The mating to JDH AH BENTON 8G ET has us very excited. We should have some born the first few days of March and cannot wait. The result of this mating will be top 5% of the breed for CHB, REA, CW, top 10% for WW, and top 15% for YW. Whether you are looking to raise show cattle with the extra look or raise breed leading numbered cattle that can generate for years to come, bid with confidence here.
610D is a DOD that offers elite maternal with an excellent BW to YW spread. She has been an outstanding producer with a BW ratio of 6 @ 95.7 and a nursing ratio of 5 @ 109.4. We still have her dam and grandam in production.
610D is the dam of 17M, Lot 10 in this sale.
Standout is a bull we went back and used heavily this year. His daughters are so easy doing and great uddered. This mating will make some outstanding females and high performing bulls.
Lincoln semen is extremely hard to come by since his unfortunate passing. Here’s a great chance to get your hands on some embryos out of an outstanding female.
4328
BENTON
A homozygous polled Thomas County son that has been an absolute standout since birth. 407M is a smooth made, stout featured bull that goes back to a moderate cow from the Fawcett Elm Creek Ranch program that excels year in and year out. He is long bodied, thick made, with a great set of feet and legs. Great combination of
with some added look and balance to enhance any group of cows.
If you want to talk about wow factor to catch a judge’s eye—look at this gal! 409M is good from every angel with that sweet front end and smooth behind her shoulders. From the side angle, she’s about as perfect as it gets in her lines with added bone. It’s hard to put a hole in this one, I truly believe she could beat alot of high sellers from this fall! Pearl’s dam is an elite donor cow that we purchased from Pierces in WI with a great udder and perfect teat size and placement. When Pearl is done collecting purple ribbons, she’ll produce top-notch offspring for your next season.
ATTENTION Juniors! This smooth made female is meant to wear a halter! She is correct in her design and as you study her, note that added length of spine, beautiful in her lines and built right from the ground up. 406M comes directly from the famous Annsley cow family from Hoffman Ranch. That being said 406M grandam was selected Reserve Grand Champion at the MN Beef Expo while she was just a calf! We believe 406M is a smoother made version of her mother. Not to mention her sire was Bull Calf Champ at the MN State Fair and World Beef Expo. Proof is in the pudding here!
A smooth made, good footed, feminine daughter out of the popular SR Expedition and our Kelly donor. We don’t offer her females very often so get in on her while you can! Retaining 2 flushes at our expense and buyer’s convenience.
JDH ND 610D LADY ZENA 17M
DELANEY HEREFORDS
Cadbury is an attractive and well balanced heifer with a lot of rib shape and volume. She has a great attitude that any junior could get along well with. We would love to see her make her way out on the show circuit next year!
This goggle eyed heifer is deep bodied, easy fleshing, and good all around to work with. She comes from a line with excellent udder structure that will carry on for years to come. Whether it’s for pasture or show she definitely won’t disappoint.
HEINS HEREFORDS/SAMANTHA & MATT GALLENTINE
Lass is a smooth made heifer with a feminine look plus a long, solid skeletal structure. Along with these visual traits, she has the EPDs to back it up. grandam was purchased from Pelton Polled Herefords and dam is a MDF Hometown daughter; both have been excellent cows. Square on her feet and built to last, Lass has a bright future ahead of her and will be a wonderful addition to your herd.
16M is a total package kind of heifer, from great look and extra pigment, to her balanced set of EPDs. We bought Time Traveler 134H to improve on growth and help
LH 15J MS MELISSA
LAWRENCE HEREFORDS
This heifer loves being noticed and knows she’s good. Every time you’re out looking she’s showing off! Big goggled eyes in a package that includes extra length, extra bone, extra foot combined with that “presence” that all my Benton 71J calves seem to have. The cow family she comes from is no-miss. We have several females in the herd that trace back to the Lady 6188, otherwise she would be in the keep pen.
is a dark red, heavy pigmented daughter out of our new Entice herd bull. His calves have been everything we have dreamed of. Moderate BW, high growth, and great pigment! I love this heifer’s added look and balance from the
If you want a heifer with massive production potential look no further. This Proof granddaughter is one of the best in our pen. Her Dam at 7 years old has the best udder of any in our herd, and we suspect Malibu will carry on this trait. She is super
soggy bellied and as sound as they come. She is a hard one to let go,
If you are looking for something to show as a bred heifer and then go on to be a baby making machine, this is your girl. Nice deep red color and solid feet. Her dam has a great udder and milks well for her babies. Her sire has worked well for us producing naturally thick calves.
Take a look at this girl, her dam is 13 this year, and has given us a calf every year with no problems. We have one of her daughters on the place, she also continues to work hard for us. This heifer is half
