The Process To Make Mysore Sambar Recipe
Step - 1
Take all three dals in a bowl and wash & clean the dal properly. Later soak it in water for around 15 minutes. Then take a pressure cooker and cook the dal until 2 -3 whistles using enough water and a pinch of turmeric powder.

Take a pan and heat the oil. Then add urad dal, chana dal, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chillies, fenugreek seeds and black pepper seeds until it turns brown in colour. Add fried spices into a mixer grinder along with coconut powder and make a fine paste out of it. Sambar powder is ready now. Now, add chopped vegetables into the dal. Mix well.

Step - 3
Add asafoetida powder, tamarind paste and sambar powder with enough water to make a gravy. Cook the mixture until vegetables are tender. Take a pan and heat 4 tbsp of oil and add mustard seeds. Once seeds start to crackle add curry leaves and switch off the flame after 30 seconds.
