Shakkar Pare RECIPE

INGREDIENTS ● 1 cup milk ● ½ cup caster sugar ● 1 cup clarified butter ● ½ cup Refined flour ● ½ cup Wheat flour, Oil for frying, Wheat flour for dusting


PREPARATION

1. Boil milk with caster sugar and clarified butter in a pan. 2. In a bowl, add refined flour and wheat flour. 3. Using a ladle add the boiled milk mixture in small quantities to form a stiff dough. 4. Dust wheat flour on the platform.


5. Pinch a large portion from the dough and make a thick roti using a roller. 6. With a cutter makes shakkar pare of diamond shape (cut into strips and then cut diagonally). 7. Heat oil for deep frying. 8. Deep fry the shakkar pare until golden brown.


9. Remove on the tissue paper in a plate. 10. They will become crisp once cooled. 11. Fill in an air tight jar or serve in a serving plate.
