MUMBAI Mowgli– The Entrepreneur starring in “The Startup Book”

May 2016 Volume 2 Issue 2

I hope most of you got to see The Jungle Book. If not, don’t miss the cinematic marvel and bring out the child in you. My note for this month is looking at the Mowgli inside todays generation of budding entrepreneurs. So here goes the story of Mowgli – The Entrepreneur starring in The Startup Book. An Angel Investor- Akela gave him the shelter and the initial push to start his journey in this Startup jungle. Akela believed the entrepreneur kid Mowgli had potential. Mowgli raced with the other beings of the jungle but often fumbled. That’s when Bagheera- The Advisor would give him that much needed direction. His mentor/advisor knew what Editor-in-chief Management Mowgli needed to do to survive Neeraj Vasudeva Anubhav Anand in the Startup jungle and his Twitter- @anubhavanand words of wisdom were what kept Content Mowgli afloat in troubled times. Sidharth Sodhi Mowgli could have gone with the regular flow of all the ones around him but then he wouldn’t be an entrepreneur. Mowgli has the skills to be an entrepreneur. Whether it Graphic Designer was making his string attached water-drinking tub or making ropes out of their tress Vaibhav Wankhade branches…. Mowgli was always meant to do something different and efficient. Like most entrepreneurs are expected to. Photographer But “Mowgli- The Entrepreneur” was no different than all the other entrepreneurs Manali Jain in the different startup jungles. Every entrepreneur, no matter how confident, has a Sales & Marketing villain that they need to fight. That villain is Shere Khan- The Inner fear. Nothing comes Ali Ansari in the way of an entrepreneur than the inner fear when things get tough. And things (Andheri West) do get tough. The Water truce won’t last forever and the Peace Rock will eventually (ali.ansari@livinglocalmag.com) be underwater. That’s when Shere Khan (the inner fears) comes into play. Inner fear gives rise to lack of confidence.. Doubt in ones own potential. Rising expectations… Prajesh Podikalam Deadlines… Traction… Revenue… (Bandra-Khar) And Shere Khan was the King of The Inner fear. (prajesh@livinglocalmag.com) It’s time for Mowgli to face Shere Khan. Face and fight. ---to be continued in Part 2 in June edition Swastik Prints Kiran Gala 9819701512

It’s

COLA

TIME “You get recessions, you have stock market declines. If you don’t understand that’s going to happen, then you’re not ready, you won’t do well in the markets.” - Peter Lynch

by Vishal Dhawan by Vishal Dhawan

May is the time when the continent is heating. The weather department has said that the period between April to June this year will be the hottest ever. May is also vacation time. All Schools and colleges have summer vacations. Just like the scorching heat of summer does not stop you from going on vacation with your family, in much the same way you should plan your investments in such a way that the market volatility should not prevent you from investing. Just like it is necessary to stay hydrated, to include citrus fruits in your diet, to protect you skin with the help of appropriate sunscreen lotion, to use shades to protect your eyes from the sun, etc. so that you can enjoy your summer vacation despite the heating continent, similarly you need to keep certain things in mind for your portfolio which will help you sail through the unavoidable market volatility and will not hamper your long term investment plans.

Below are some of the things that you can do: • Be an investor, not a trader: An investor is someone who stays invested for a longer term with an expectation of gains in the future. A trader is someone who is frequently into buying and selling instruments with the intention of immediate gain. If you are an investor who has planned to stay put with your choice of investment rather than trading then you should understand that volatility is a part and parcel. That’s the nature of the market. • Have an asset allocation and stick to it: If you have an asset allocation in place you do not need to worry about the increased market volatility. Having asset allocation in line with your goals will give you further comfort.

Avoid tactical calls: Even if you are a well-read investor, it is not advisable to take tactical calls for your investments. Taking such calls is like timing the market. You should not try to time the market. You should focus on planning your investments. Diversify: Diversification at portfolio level gives you the benefit of exposure to multiple instruments, which have varied risk return characteristics. Further, diversification at an instrument level means investing in an instrument, which is exposed to multiple sectors. This will reduce your risk because chances are that all your investments will not move in the same direction and will not benefit or get negatively impacted by same set of market and economic factors.

• Don’t stop your Systematic Investments Plan (SIP) when markets are falling: People have this habit of stopping their SIPs in panic when markets are falling. SIPs give you the benefit of investing in the market without timing it. Don’t fear volatility. Chalk out a plan to sail through it. “You get recessions, you have stock market declines. If you don’t understand that’s going to happen, then you’re not ready, you won’t do well in the markets.” - Peter Lynch Vishal Dhawan is a certified financial planner by profession and founder of Plan Ahead Wealth Advisors Pvt. Vishal’s rich experience of close to 20 years in the financial services industry has led him to frequently write columns in various business and general media both domestically and internationally, and he appears on television.

would like to start this article with a personal conversation I had with an acid attack survivor. It was unnerving as a woman to listen to her story without feeling extremely unsafe in our public spaces. She said something that left me shaken, “he was someone I ignored every time I walked back home from work”. Isn’t this something most of us do every

Always encourage young children to immediately report about anyone who attempts to say or do something uncomfortable. Every hood has notorious pockets, which are famous for gangs or groups of people who seem intimidating without any reason. Neighboring societies should make a point to keep a check on such behavior around their locality. Standing up to a bully is the best way to deal with them, but be careful and do not risk your safety. I feel that every individual has the right to enjoy public spaces; it will be nice if we can help each other and make it safe for our women. LOOK GOOD WHILE YOU TRAVEL by Dr. Sharmila Nayak Celebrity Cosmetic Dermatologist Sakhiya Skin Clinic

I

ts vacation time and travel season. Somethings to look forward to in the summer season besides the vacation should be a good healthy skin. Lot of us have already planned our itinerary for travelling but a little thought should also go towards taking care of our skin and protecting it. What is important is not to forget your skin care whilst you travel. You need to spare a little time for your skin care routine according to the place you are travelling to .The destinations may vary. It could be a hot destination like a beach holiday or a cold place like snow capped mountains. So along with a check list of packing that you do, try some smart planning for protecting your skin too. BEFORE the travel.... Avoid strong bleach , laser treatments, skin treatments like peels or cleanups just a day before travel as these can make skin sensitive to sun. Its better to plan these activities well in advance of your travel depending on your skin type. Apply extra moisturiser and drink lots of water before air travel since air journey can cause dehydration of skin.

14

Avoid products which make skin dry e.g creams containing retinoids.Remember to pack calamine lotion or aloe vera gel, body moisturising lotions preferably with an SPF, sunscreens which are water proof or water resistant with minimum SPF of 30 or 40, lip balm with an SPF, day and night creams for face, cleanser, medicated creams for rashes. DURING the travel.... Remember to apply a waterproof or resistant sunscreen all over the body, especially if you are swimming. Repeat your sunscreen two to three times a day. At high altitudes where weather is cold or where it would be cloudy , its still important to use sunscreen all the time. Skin usually feels dry during travel because of extreme heat or cold. So use moisturiser during the day and especially before sleeping. Do not forget to take care of hands and feet. Use Face Mist which contains rose water, glycerine or thermal spring water which keeps the face hydrated and rejuvenated. In case you are doing more of outdoor activities during day time, remember to use a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses. POST travel.....

May 2016 | Volume 2 Issue 2 | Living Local Mumbai (Andheri West Edition)

Enjoy your travel, but at the same time take good care of skin so that you don’t have to regret later. Many times people develop photo allergy after travelling due to sun. Avoid doing skin treatments and peels at such times.Avoid laser hair reduction treatments immediately after travel because skin may be tanned. You could do hydrating facials to calm down the skin. And Vit C treatments or a q-switch laser to lighten the skin in case of tanning. Remember to continue your skin care routine whenever you travel. Dont let travel schedule affect your skin care regime. ENJOY YOUR TRAVEL AND ENJOY YOUR SKIN TOO HAVE A SKIN FRIENDLY VACATION

Got a question about your skin and didn’t know whom to ask? Please write in to mumbai@sakhiyaskinclinic.com and Dr. Sharmila Nayak would be happy to answer your queries.

LL | health & beauty Here are 12 Reasons you may be hitting the wall with your weight…

Your hormones aren’t balanced.

12 Reasons You Don’t Lose Weight by Dr Lily Kiswani, MD. Endoscopic Surgery (Belgium) Nutritional Therapeutics (Stanford, UCSF, Vanderbilt)

If you are fatigued, suffer from PMS, experience irregular menstrual cycles, and find it hard to lose weight, and feel depressed or anxious, you may have adrenal fatigue.

You’re not Vitamin D

getting

enough

Low Vitamin D is associated with weight gain and several metabolic processes. If you spend much of your life indoors, get your Vitamin D checked.

Stress can impact your weight in a number of ways. Long term stress = high cortisol, which is linked to blood sugar imbalance and weight gain around the mid-section.

You’re not sleeping enough. Sleep = repair. Not enough sleep also increases appetite stimulating hormones.

You overindulge on diet food. Not only are these light versions less nutritious, but they also end up tasting “lighter,” leading you to eat more. You’ll probably end up consuming more calories than you would if you just ate a regular-sized portion of the real food.

You’re not adding enough protein. Protein is the satiety macronutrient that helps us to balance out blood sugars, keeps us feeling fuller longer, and therefore helps to control our weight. Eat more protein.

You’re exercising, but not in a way that’s benefiting your body! You are either exercising too much or you need to mix it up a bit and give the body a bit of a shock. Enjoy a variety of workout techniques: weight training, Pilates, yoga and interval training.

Your digestion and absorption is not optimal. You are not what you eat; you are what you digest and absorb! Our gut health will determine our overall wellbeing.

Are you eating well and exercising and your weight just won’t budge? Desperate attempts to lose weight can be frustrating and cause major stress in our lives. There is a way to live without worrying about your weight and watching everything that enters your mouth. Once we have the skills in place to find happiness and psychological wellbeing, healthy eating habits (and a healthy weight) will easily follow.

16

You’re sitting all day. With office jobs we are tied to our desks, but is it possible to get up and go for a few minute stroll every hour? Or walk 20 minutes to grab lunch?

We’re eating way more than we used to. If you look at the plate size back in the 1900’s, it’s much smaller than the ones you see at food joints today.

You’re stressed and not finding balance in your days.

May 2016 | Volume 2 Issue 2 | Living Local Mumbai (Andheri West Edition)

You’re scared of good fats. Don’t be! Good fats are so so important to your brain, heart, and for making hormones. (So you can imagine why many of those who suffer from hormonal imbalances usually eat a low-fat diet). The body actually uses good fats and they will help to lower your LDL cholesterol.

Your liver is sluggish and you need a good cleanse! If you’re feeling low, tired, and moody and your diet contains alcohol, coffee and sugar, you may have a sluggish liver. It struggles to process substances/toxins/hormones efficiently and this leads to toxic build up and will inevitably cause weight gain. You might benefit from a reset.

YOUR SOLUTION: The Integrative medicine approach helps you balance your hormones, your diet, control cravings, hunger, and mood swings by balancing your blood sugar. You’ll increase your energy, have more restful sleep, save money on your grocery bill, and build confidence with your new healthy self.

LL | food Chef Around The Corner Chef Harinder Singh Soho Tapas Bar

by Sidharth Sodhi

C

hef Harinder Kumar Singh was born in a village in Uttar Pradesh. He always wanted to become a chef. In class fifth he started cooking with his mother in the kitchen. When other boys his age used to play cricket he used to cook at home. His uncle (father’s younger brother) who was at the time serving with the Indian Navy brought him to the city. Harinder credits all his achievements and success to his uncle who has raised him since. In college he was into karate, high jump and running and won several medals. His principal was of the opinion that “his personality was more suited to become a manager and not a chef”. But Harinder knew what he wanted. He practices Shotokan style of karate and as it turns out, is a second brown belt. I caught up with Chef Harinder at Soho Tapas Bar, next to Versova telephone exchange. On meeting him the first thing that struck me was that he looked too young to be the ‘Head Chef’. I told him that and he smiled and replied with a ‘yes’ as the two of us took the steps to the second floor to his office. In his black chef’s outfit he looked like a karate master cum chef. He told me that when he put on the chef’s outfit for the very first time, the first thing he did was to practice his punches. He believes one may try different things in life but it is imperative to have mastery over one.

SU-JOK YOUR WAY TO GOOD HEALTH Dr. Kedar Mohan Kajale comes from Akola, which is a city in the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra. He worked as a medical representative for three years. He saw doctors prescribing medicines to patients to cure them. But what really excited him was the human body’s infinite self-healing potential.

26

He educated himself on the subject and was introduced to Su-Jok therapy. He has been practicing this therapy for sixteen years now. In 2011 he began his practice in Lokhandwala, Andheri West. He started by treating people free of cost. The results of his treatment were very encouraging and soon word of mouth spread far and wide. The clinic he runs (from inside Lokhandwala garden) comes under ‘The Samarth Nagar Lokhandwala Complex Residents Association Medical and Charitable Activities trust’. Currently he charges a very nominal fee of rupees thirty per patient. Su-Jok is a form of nanotechnology in Acupuncture and Acupressure. The Korean word ‘SU’ means ‘Hand’ and ‘JOK’ signifies ‘Foot’. Su-Jok is a therapeutic method employing hands and feet. The effects are obtained by pressing and

stimulating points on the hands or feet that correspond to the disease areas in different parts of the body and lead to recovery. The best thing about this therapy is that you do not need to be a medico to start practicing it. Anyone who has a minimal amount of logic can learn Su-Jok and treat himself, his family members and others too. Su-Jok does not have any side effects either. It helps to cure both chronic and acute problems and can also be used in cases of emergency. In the long run Dr. Kedar would like to open a Su-Jok research and training center. So that “every home can have it’s very own healer”. We wish him all the very best. CONTACT : 9370114326, 8655622262.

AT YOUR FAVORITE TAPRI “…PERHAPS

by Sherene Kharawala

I COULD BECOME A

RADIO JOKEY..”

From early hours of the mornings till late in the evenings, a young girl in her early twenties and her parents dish out famous Maharashtrian snacks to bystanders, the white collared, students, and even to people who come to them in “big” cars. My parents and I work at the stall all 7 days a week. On a busy day we can easily make about six to ten thousand rupees. But it’s a lot of hard work. Making that kind of money in a day and being a stall owner is really not all that easy. The word Holiday is unheard for us. My family and I are at the stall every day and even during holidays. I don’t remember the last time I have spent a holiday with my parents. There is a constant worry that our customers would divert to another stall and may not visit us again. If we ever did go out together as a family it is generally to watch a late night movie and then on a rare Sunday I take a halfday off from the stall to spend time with my friends.

F

elt a pang of hunger, or a craving for chai? Without much thought your nearest favorite tapri hangout comes to your mind. Sometimes it makes your favorite place to hangout for breakfast, and the other times it’s your adda for chai with friends in the evening. Ever given it a thought what it’s like to be on the other side of the tapri dishing out the missal pav and chai? What their life could be all about, what their hopes, dreams and aspirations could be?

28

I help my parents by assisting them in managing the stall. Sometimes I become the finance manager for them and sometimes during the rush hours I take care of the orders, serving customers and making sure the money reaches my money collection dubba. I have been helping my parents at the food stall since I was 14yrs old. And during this span my most unbelievable moment was when Shri Om Puri had stopped by to order snacks from my humble stall. I wish selfies was invented back then, I could have taken one with him. To everyone who eats at a stall my only suggestion is that they should not eat mindlessly. Make sure that the cook at the stall observes basic hygiene standards and the quality of raw materials used to make the food are standardized. The food may taste delicious to the taste buds but could damage your body in the long run. If someday I wasn’t helping my parents at the stall then perhaps I could become a Radio Jokey and be heard in the radios of the cars that my clients drive. Maybe I could be playing some amazing music while they are eating chai-poha at my stall.

Kangaroo Kids Lokhandwala celebrated their 1st Annual Day pompously on the 1st April at recreation club shashtri nagar Banquet. The annual concert was an effort to ignite the curious minds amidst music, dance, laughter and fun.

We welcomed family with grandparents and friends who eagerly were waiting to set eyes on their little bundles of joy setting the stage ablaze.

T

Annual Day

Kangaroo Kids, Lokhandwala

he Function started at 7.00 pm with the blessings of honoured grandparents lighting the diya, followed by a lovely short movie which captured each student voicing their self with one liners supporting it was a nostalgic number expressing the bonding of the mother, the child and the voyage they had through the year at the school. The evening got more colourful and a relishing experience as our tiny tots not only entertained everybody but donned the thin mantle of social reformers by spreading the message of conservation of nature and develop a love for it. Nudging the audience to think that true happiness lies in ‘giving selflessly than living selfishly’.

The theme Skippy’s under water adventure tagged all the wonderful people into an fascinating world that exists around us and yet so out of our reach wonderfully displayed by each and every child of the school participating and coming up on stage fighting their fears and smiling it off . Starting off with lovely mothers participating for an opening ceremonial dance with the playschool children. It was an amazing sight to see the Mother toddler parents dancing on musical tunes with the youngest tots of the school aging 10 months onwards. The theme also embedded a skit awesomely enacted by the senior kg children and dances in solos and groups done by the playschool, nursery children spicing it

up with gorgeous mothers dancing it all together for a splendid finale.. This is what Kangaroo kids curriculum has always tried to create a specific environment for domains in which each child feels free to explore a wide range of materials and activities and at Kangaroo kids. we have an organization where each one of us strives through our practice to wholeheartedly serve children and make every learning moment a joyful, effective and meaningful one. What is the ‘Stepping Stones Early Childhood Awareness and Development Program’? Neuroscience research has proven that early childhood (0 to 5 years of age) is the single most important developmental period in the human life. This fact has resulted in early childhood care and education (ECCE) gaining momentum worldwide. But in India we still have a lot of unawareness about it. The child’s environment has an immense effect on development. It is the conduciveness of the environment in the form of appropriate experiences, stimulation and exposure at the right time, that are crucial determinants of the way each child’s brain architecture develops. After counseling adults and children, I have observed that a lot of the issues can be traced back to the individual’s childhood. Unfortunately, we have a top down approach. We would rather spend all our resources

getting our children in medical and B-schools and marriages rather than building a strong foundation in their childhood. Isn’t it better to build strong children than to repair broken men? Parents have the intent to do the best for their child but lack the awareness. As a mother of a two year old, I searched for a lot of activities for the required exposure for my child and was surprised to see there was hardly anything available. Our aim is to provide a platform to give the important experience and exposure to children in order to stimulate optimal growth.

CELEBRATING ITS FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY

GURUDWARA SRI GURU SINGH SABHA

The Gurudwara was established on thirteenth April in the year 1967. We caught up with Mr. Sardar Singh Suri who has been looking after the Gurudwara since its inception. He said this place initially started out as a small office. With time the office got converted into a Gurudwara. “And now by the grace of God it is a palace”. The gurudwara is a two-minute walk from the bustling Manish market. The place of worship serves langar everyday from Monday to Sunday. From Monday to Saturday they do so between 8 AM to 9 AM. A lot of people turn up for Langar especially on Sundays. As a custom, langar is served for free to all people irrespective of religion, race and class. We join in congratulating Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha on their golden anniversary. “jo bole so nihal sat sri akal”.

SUMMER HAS

ARRIVED!

T

he Chhandogya Upanishad says that at the time of creation, the world’s egg divided itself into two parts: the one of silver and the other of gold. The silver part became the earth, the golden part the sky. The outer cover of the egg became the mountains; the inner cover the clouds and snow; the inside veins became the rivers and the liquid in the egg became the ocean. When the Sun appeared there was a great cry from which all the beings and all their pleasures were born. The Sun or Surya is the chief of the nine planets. He is often depicted riding a chariot harnessed by seven horses, which might represent the seven colors of the rainbow or the seven chakras in the body. I have always looked at the sun as a sign of positivity, of life, of hope, that permeates our being.

It is a time to buckle up and go out there in the world to achieve your dreams. For all the people who are constantly complaining that there simply aren’t enough hours in a day, well, the ‘day’ just got longer. An intake of fluids is a must in this weather to keep you hydrated. I know at least twenty people around me whom the doctors have strongly advised “..ki din mein paani zyaada peeney ki aadat dalo”. Well the weather should motivate you to pick up a sensational habit. The early mornings and evenings in this weather are a sight for sore eyes. It is a time to grab those funky shades and hats and caps, to sweat out those unwanted toxins. So enjoy the ‘fruits’ of summer and ride the heat wave. Nos egit, nimihina, ne publis bonihicae te

Divesh Nathani and Gaurang Bajaj, founders of ‘thecoachcrew’ are childhood best friends. They studied together and played basketball at the national level together. Once during practice they saw a five or six year old boy who had come to train for football. The parents of the boy had arranged a coach for him. The young kid, all geared up, oozing enthusiasm was ready to begin.

COACH

May 2016 | Volume 2 Issue 2 | Living Local Mumbai (Andheri West Edition)

Devesh and Guarang noticed three things. One, the coach was teaching the boy football on a basketball court. Two, the boy was being taught football which is a team sport, at an individual level. Three, the coach was not too interested. He would be on his phone as he told the kid to go ‘run rounds’. Now there was a kid who wanted to learn a sport for the love of it.

CLAIM YOUR HOOD at livinglocal.com

Unfortunately his parents perhaps were unable to find the right coach for him to take his passion forward. That passion could have resulted into anything. Sport is not just about becoming the next big player. Sport is not just about playing at a summer camp and then forgetting about it. Sport is about becoming a confident, overall developed person. Someone who is capable of taking instructions, who is capable of delivering in teamwork, capable of delivering under pressure. These are life skills that a sport teaches us, as a bi-product of organized sports coaching. Divesh tells us that initially ‘thecoachcrew’ started out just as an initiative as opposed to a company or a tech start up. But soon they realized that the number of people, parents, youngsters who wanted to be helped were so many that they could convert this into a full fledged scalable set up. ‘thecoachcrew’ aims is to improve the overall level of training in India. Another reason to start ‘thecoachcrew’ is to get kids to go out there and play rather than be glued to gadgets and technology. They have built a platform, which connects kids to some of the most credible sports coaches in the city.

two hundred plus coaches. They aim to reach a thousand coaches as soon as possible, who will then be strategically spread across the city. Every coach profile that goes up on their platform is objective and simple making it a breeze for parents to understand the difference between A coach and B coach. There are pictures of the way training is done, of the venue, of the coaches, which helps people to make that connect.

There are coaches who have been training kids for ten to twenty years but there is not enough awareness in the parents’ section about them. ‘thecoachcrew’ aims to bridge this gap.

After going through the profiles the user can click on the ‘connect with the coach’ option. That sends a text message to both the parties- the user and the coach, giving each other’s details. After that both parties are free to connect with each other. An exciting facility that they provide is that the user can request for a free trial.

They launched in Mumbai in October last year with forty coaches across six sports: basketball, football, track and field, chess, lawn tennis, and judo. In the last six months they have reached

‘They believe in a 360 degree player development approach which means player performance tracking, skill and strength development, physiotherapy, sports counseling, sports conditioning.

A key feature that they look into is ‘training the trainers’. Which means scouting and training the coaches and giving them a minimum guarantee for their lives with regards to money so they in turn can focus on raising the bar for sports training in India. They are moving on to a mobile application very soon and have just had a tie up with Paytm. Summing up he says that as a child when he wanted to play tennis, the effort to find the right coach was so high that from the time he wanted to play tennis till the time he actually started to play tennis, there were a hundred hurdles he had to cross. “As a kid if you lose out on that ‘Sunday’, the wait from Monday to Saturday is a very long one”. With ‘thecoachcrew’, a child wanting to play a sport to him actually playing that sport has become possible in the same day. They aim to reduce that to hours. TAROTSCOPE YOUR FORECAST FOR THE MONTH OF MAY 2016

THE YEAR AHEAD FOR TAURUS Happy Birth Anniversary! There is something in your life, which appears to be reaching a completion, but hold on! Not yet. You will get a chance to redo some of the work in a manner more pleasing to you. For good health, develop a cardio routine you would like. Finances will steadily improve. (Please note: The guide uses Zodiac Signs according to date of birth, and not according to your Sun Sign, Moon Sign or Ascendant. There is no cusp.)

ARIES (March 21st-April 20th) You will have a fairly good month. Activities will seem more engaging than productive, but it’s all in the game. Health will be good, too, if you control indulgence. Finances are stable.

TAURUS (April 21st-May 20th): Your generally practical nature will make this month very positive for you. Don’t expect much productivity, as things are now long-term. Health will be balanced, as will finances.

GEMINI (May 21st-June 20th): Keep your focus on entertaining yourself this month as most of what you experience will be beyond your purview of control. This is only short-term, so don’t chafe. Health will benefit by some extra reading and cozy conversations. Finances will be stable.

CANCER (June 21st-July 21st): Do take good care of yourself as you go about your regular business this month. Most of what you will observe is not about you, so maintain a discrete distance. Health will benefit from goaloriented plans. Finances are better left alone now.

36

LEO (July 22nd-August 22nd): You will manage to extract productivity out of an indifferent month rather well, if you keep your focus on applying tried and tested methods. Don’t allow apparently new things to trick you; they are still old. Health will need care from colds and indulgences. Finances are fairly stable. VIRGO (August 23rd-September 22nd): You, amongst many, will have a good understanding of the way things are moving around you. To make them productive as well, be aware of what you want to see as the end result. Engage only if you are sure. Health will benefit from regular routine, as will finances.

LIBRA

(September 23rd-October 22nd):

You are still working in response to other people’s ideas, but your desire to show up will help you satisfy those people. Things are shifting at a very deep level, so hang in there. Health will love more of cardio workouts. Finances are fairly stable.

Much of what is going on is right up your alley. Do pay attention to others’ opinions as you may find wisdom there. Don’t ignore convention; it can be helpful.
