Mowgli– The Entrepreneur starring in “The Startup Book”
May 2016 Volume 2 Issue 2
I hope most of you got to see The Jungle Book. If not, don’t miss the cinematic marvel and bring out the child in you. My note for this month is looking at the Mowgli inside todays generation of budding entrepreneurs. So here goes the story of Mowgli – The Entrepreneur starring in The Startup Book. An Angel Investor- Akela gave him the shelter and the initial push to start his journey in this Startup jungle. Akela believed the entrepreneur kid Mowgli had potential. Mowgli raced with the other beings of the jungle but often fumbled. That’s when Bagheera- The Advisor would give him that much needed direction. His mentor/advisor knew what Editor-in-chief Management Mowgli needed to do to survive Neeraj Vasudeva Anubhav Anand in the Startup jungle and his Twitter- @anubhavanand words of wisdom were what kept Content Mowgli afloat in troubled times. Sidharth Sodhi Mowgli could have gone with the regular flow of all the ones around him but then he wouldn’t be an entrepreneur. Mowgli has the skills to be an entrepreneur. Whether it Graphic Designer was making his string attached water-drinking tub or making ropes out of their tress Vaibhav Wankhade branches…. Mowgli was always meant to do something different and efficient. Like most entrepreneurs are expected to. Photographer But “Mowgli- The Entrepreneur” was no different than all the other entrepreneurs Manali Jain in the different startup jungles. Every entrepreneur, no matter how confident, has a Sales & Marketing villain that they need to fight. That villain is Shere Khan- The Inner fear. Nothing comes Ali Ansari in the way of an entrepreneur than the inner fear when things get tough. And things (Andheri West) do get tough. The Water truce won’t last forever and the Peace Rock will eventually (ali.ansari@livinglocalmag.com) be underwater. That’s when Shere Khan (the inner fears) comes into play. Inner fear gives rise to lack of confidence.. Doubt in ones own potential. Rising expectations… Prajesh Podikalam Deadlines… Traction… Revenue… (Bandra-Khar) And Shere Khan was the King of The Inner fear. (prajesh@livinglocalmag.com) It’s time for Mowgli to face Shere Khan. Face and fight. ---to be continued in Part 2 in June edition Swastik Prints Kiran Gala 9819701512

COLA
TIME “You get recessions, you have stock market declines. If you don’t understand that’s going to happen, then you’re not ready, you won’t do well in the markets.” - Peter Lynch
by Vishal Dhawan by Vishal Dhawan
May is the time when the continent is heating. The weather department has said that the period between April to June this year will be the hottest ever. May is also vacation time. All Schools and colleges have summer vacations. Just like the scorching heat of summer does not stop you from going on vacation with your family, in much the same way you should plan your investments in such a way that the market volatility should not prevent you from investing. Just like it is necessary to stay hydrated, to include citrus fruits in your diet, to protect you skin with the help of appropriate sunscreen lotion, to use shades to protect your eyes from the sun, etc. so that you can enjoy your summer vacation despite the heating continent, similarly you need to keep certain things in mind for your portfolio which will help you sail through the unavoidable market volatility and will not hamper your long term investment plans.
Below are some of the things that you can do: • Be an investor, not a trader: An investor is someone who stays invested for a longer term with an expectation of gains in the future. A trader is someone who is frequently into buying and selling instruments with the intention of immediate gain. If you are an investor who has planned to stay put with your choice of investment rather than trading then you should understand that volatility is a part and parcel. That’s the nature of the market. • Have an asset allocation and stick to it: If you have an asset allocation in place you do not need to worry about the increased market volatility. Having asset allocation in line with your goals will give you further comfort.

Avoid tactical calls: Even if you are a well-read investor, it is not advisable to take tactical calls for your investments. Taking such calls is like timing the market. You should not try to time the market. You should focus on planning your investments. Diversify: Diversification at portfolio level gives you the benefit of exposure to multiple instruments, which have varied risk return characteristics. Further, diversification at an instrument level means investing in an instrument, which is exposed to multiple sectors. This will reduce your risk because chances are that all your investments will not move in the same direction and will not benefit or get negatively impacted by same set of market and economic factors.
• Don’t stop your Systematic Investments Plan (SIP) when markets are falling: People have this habit of stopping their SIPs in panic when markets are falling. SIPs give you the benefit of investing in the market without timing it. Don’t fear volatility. Chalk out a plan to sail through it. “You get recessions, you have stock market declines. If you don’t understand that’s going to happen, then you’re not ready, you won’t do well in the markets.” - Peter Lynch Vishal Dhawan is a certified financial planner by profession and founder of Plan Ahead Wealth Advisors Pvt. Always encourage young children to immediately report about anyone who attempts to say or do something uncomfortable. Every hood has notorious pockets, which are famous for gangs or groups of people who seem intimidating without any reason. Neighboring societies should make a point to keep a check on such behavior around their locality. Standing up to a bully is the best way to deal with them, but be careful and do not risk your safety. I feel that every individual has the right to enjoy public spaces; it will be nice if we can help each other and make it safe for our women. The way a society treats their women is an indicator of their progressive mindset.

LOOK GOOD WHILE YOU TRAVEL by Dr. Sharmila Nayak Celebrity Cosmetic Dermatologist Sakhiya Skin Clinic
I
ts vacation time and travel season. Somethings to look forward to in the summer season besides the vacation should be a good healthy skin. Lot of us have already planned our itinerary for travelling but a little thought should also go towards taking care of our skin and protecting it. What is important is not to forget your skin care whilst you travel. You need to spare a little time for your skin care routine according to the place you are travelling to .The destinations may vary. It could be a hot destination like a beach holiday or a cold place like snow capped mountains. So along with a check list of packing that you do, try some smart planning for protecting your skin too. BEFORE the travel.... Avoid strong bleach , laser treatments, skin treatments like peels or cleanups just a day before travel as these can make skin sensitive to sun. Its better to plan these activities well in advance of your travel depending on your skin type. Apply extra moisturiser and drink lots of water before air travel since air journey can cause dehydration of skin.
14
Avoid products which make skin dry e.g creams containing retinoids.Remember to pack calamine lotion or aloe vera gel, body moisturising lotions preferably with an SPF, sunscreens which are water proof or water resistant with minimum SPF of 30 or 40, lip balm with an SPF, day and night creams for face, cleanser, medicated creams for rashes. DURING the travel.... Remember to apply a waterproof or resistant sunscreen all over the body, especially if you are swimming. Repeat your sunscreen two to three times a day. At high altitudes where weather is cold or where it would be cloudy , its still important to use sunscreen all the time. Skin usually feels dry during travel because of extreme heat or cold. So use moisturiser during the day and especially before sleeping. Do not forget to take care of hands and feet. Use Face Mist which contains rose water, glycerine or thermal spring water which keeps the face hydrated and rejuvenated. In case you are doing more of outdoor activities during day time, remember to use a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses. POST travel.....
May 2016 | Volume2 Issue 2 | Living Local Mumbai (Bandra-Khar Edition)
Enjoy your travel, but at the same time take good care of skin so that you don’t have to regret later. Many times people develop photo allergy after travelling due to sun. Avoid doing skin treatments and peels at such times.Avoid laser hair reduction treatments immediately after travel because skin may be tanned. You could do hydrating facials to calm down the skin. And Vit C treatments or a q-switch laser to lighten the skin in case of tanning. Remember to continue your skin care routine whenever you travel. Dont let travel schedule affect your skin care regime. ENJOY YOUR TRAVEL AND ENJOY YOUR SKIN TOO HAVE A SKIN FRIENDLY VACATION
Got a question about your skin and didn’t know whom to ask? Please write in to mumbai@sakhiyaskinclinic.com and Dr. Sharmila Nayak would be happy to answer your queries.

NOW WITH,
DENTAL IMPLANTS HAVE... “From No Teeth to Fixed Teeth Smile in 72 hours” Patients at all ages and stages of teeth loss and where bone tissue has decayed. According to Dr. Ritika, the All-on-4 system is based on fastening 4,6 or 8 implants in very specific locations to create a three dimensional trapezoid force that enables the attachment of a full arch metal ceramic bridge containing 12 or 14 teeth. A metal-ceramic bridge is made of a metal substructure that supports ceramic teeth. This is the same material that is used for making conventional crowns. A metal-ceramic implant-supported bridge is the best appliance available today for replacing all teeth in the jaw. Such bridges combine excellent aesthetics with good strength allowing them to provide the patient with years of trouble-free service. Introducing Basal Implants “From No Teeth to Fixed Teeth Smile in 72 hours.”

May 2016 | Volume2 Issue 2 | Living Local Mumbai (Bandra-Khar Edition)
At aesthetic smiles, there’s a new ray of hope for dental patients fed up with dentures, as Basal Implants are here to give teeth to the toothless. Dr. Ritika Arora adds, these Swiss Basal Implants can be used for patients with controlled diabetes, smokers and patients who have little or no bone for conventional implants. The advantage is that the patient can get a full set of new teeth within 72 hours. It can be done in single or multiple or entire 32 and can be used like normal teeth for hard chewing too. At Aesthetic Smiles, Dr. Ritika and her Team have done patients who have been refused implants by very well known implant clinics because of their deficient bone, and now after their successful treatment are happy to chew food and eat well. Are you tired of your Removable
Dentures because of: • Loose fitting • Discomfort while eating • Food lodgment under the Dentures • Poor quality of chewing • Poor Aesthetics & phonetics AT AESTHETIC SMILES, BRING BACK THE FEELING OF HAVING FIXED TEETH. HERE ARE VARIOUS OPTIONS OF IMPLANT SUPPORTED DENTURES THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Implant-Retained, Gum Supported Dentures with this treatment, the denture rests directly on your gums and is attached to implants placed into your upper and/or lower jaw. The denture, which is removable, is secured to your implants through
attachments fixed into the denture. Fixed, Implant Supported Dentures – Hybrid Denture With this treatment, the overdenture is secured directly to implants placed into your upper and/or lower jaw. The overdenture is only removable by a dentist. This option gives the closest resemblance to natural teeth and gums. Implant Supported Full Arch Metal Ceramic Bridge (All-On-4,6 or 8) Commonly known as All-on-4, 6 or 8 dental implants, a full arch bridge is used when all teeth are lost in the upper or lower jaw. The All-on-4 is a solution that has been developed to maximize the use of available bone and is suitable for almost all.

Bringing A Difference The BAD Cafe by Sidharth Sodhi
Amit Dhanani was born in India and grew up in Malaga in the south of Spain. Growing up he saw and learnt the traditional Sindhi food that his mom cooked in their kitchen. He started cooking at the early age of eleven. Slowly he began to learn Spanish food. Amits family frequented Morocco for work. The cities of Casablanca, Tangier, and Marrakesh influenced him a great deal. The Moroccan spices, the way they made their hummus, the way they cooked, their dishes, was something he wanted to bring to India.
O
He compares Spanish food and Indian food to yin and yang. He balances the subtlety of the Spanish food with the heat of the Indian food. Apart from being a chef, he is also a barista, a writer and a lyricist. We caught up with him on a beautiful Mumbai summer morning at The BAD Cafe. The cafe looks like a club from the outside and has beautiful yin and yang inspired back and white interiors, which I thought, was very interesting. The cafe has three floors. The ground floor is the ‘Soul’ where the food is cooked. The first floor is the ‘Body’, which is a multi functional space, which has yoga, events, and an art gallery, a projector screen to view short films. The second floor is the ‘Mind’, which is an open terrace where people can read, eat, let conversations flow and simply enjoy the moment.

February 2016 | Volume1 Issue 10 | Living Local Mumbai (Bandra-Khar Edition)
IT TOOK US TEN FIFTEEN MINUTES TO LOCATE THIS CAFE. Where I come from in Spain, the restaurants are located between lanes and bi-lanes. The finding of the place, the chase behind it is something I enjoy the most. In Barcelona you will find that a lot of the Michelin star restaurants are hidden. We believe we create rustic food and we do not need to shout about it.
YOU HAVE A SEPARATE MENU FOR COFFEE? TELL US ABOUT THAT. Our coffee is from the south of India. We curate it. You get different forms of coffee here. From a water based coffee which starts from espresso to a latte to a cappuccino to something that we created which was the ‘yang over yin’ which is a mint based coffee - a cold coffee with a hot froth. So we are playing with two temperatures at the same time. This is something nobody had done here before. Also the way I brew my coffee is manually. I don’t simply press a ‘button’. I calculate every second, every drop that is pouring in the cup. I am bringing the human element to coffee, which is done a lot abroad but is lacking in this country. As with kung fu, you need to practice every day. Even when it gets really busy in here, to hit all
ten coffees perfectly is difficult but I still manage to hit nine out of ten. The tenth might go up or down by a second. I believe your perfect espresso should be twentyfive ml. or between twenty-five to thirty ml. You cross that and your coffee is dead. Also when an espresso
shot reaches your table, it should be had in less than twenty seconds else you lose its essence. It’s something I tell our customers. We have a compact coffee menu, which goes very well with the food.
THE SUMMERS HAVE ARRIVED. WHAT NEW DISHES HAVE YOU COME UP WITH? Just a few days ago we started our ‘mango salad’. The dish is titled ‘un verano con lola’ which means ‘a summer with lola’. It is imagining this woman named Lola during summer. You are enjoying something that is good, which is hot, which is beautiful. The names of our dishes are very poetic. In this dish mango is of course the star element and with that we have lollo rosso lettuce, goat cheese, fresh walnuts, beetroot cashew paste, powdered
pistachio, barley, with garnish on top. Sweet, tangy, five-six different flavors are playing around in your mouth. We added barley to balance the sweetness. Having it is a different experience altogether.
YOU MAY BE TRAVELING GLOBAL BUT YOU ARE ALWAYS LIVING LOCAL. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN TO YOU? That is the story of my life. I have traveled the world but I eventually came back to my roots. Summing up he says that it is important to believe in what you do. People should write down their goals and look at them from time to time. “Once it is written, you might just get there”, he says. So do ‘write’ the address down before you go looking for this cafe. It is definitely worth a visit.

Quality is synonymous with The Natural Food Kart. We follow a stringent quality control practice. This helps us ensure that we deliver dry fruits and nuts of premium quality and taste.
Starting a new venture what hurdles did you face? Starting a business is a big achievement for many entrepreneurs but maintaining one is the bigger challenge. There are many standard challenges that face every business whether they are large or small. From hiring the right people, building a brand and so on. The hours, the work and the constant pressure to perform wears on even the most passionate individuals. Many business owners, even successful ones, get stuck working much longer hours than their employees. Moreover there is a constant fear that their business will stall in their absence. To begin with, one of the biggest challenges that new entrepreneurs face is to convert an idea into a profitable business model. Have you done sufficient research? How much funding do you need and how will you arrange it? What would be the best way to market your products and services: print, online, mobile, advertising etc. You want to maximize your return on investment with efficient, targeted marketing that gets results.

Crayon Impact by Sidharth Sodhi
Rohan Sabharwal is a filmmaker. He studied film making at the London film school. He came back to Mumbai and started a production company that was doing quite well. But he was disillusioned by the kind of work he was doing, selling brands he did not believe in and working with clients whom he did not agree with. So he shut the company, gave up his apartment and decided to travel. He spent close to two years in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Half of that time, he spent on a tea estate as he found it conducive for writing. At the time he also taught media and communications at a school and did social media for a company in Kerala. Later he joined ‘The Hive’ where he was heading their film and production department. Rachana Iyer has her roots in India but grew up in Dubai. While she was doing her under graduation in business she worked with an NGO with children with special needs. Working with those kids gave her more satisfaction than her internship with a multinational bank. She quit her internship to focus on her work in the social sector. In 2009 she moved to India where she got through TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) Mumbai. Her specialization was disability studies and mental health. During the course of two years, she worked extensively in urban slums and rural Maharashtra. It was at The Hive that Rachana and Rohan met up last year. The two of them got talking and realized they had a lot in common and

that is how ‘Crayon Impact’ was born. Crayon Impact helps to spread awareness on different causes in a dignified manner, dropping the need to pose as a charity with a begging bowl. The more traditional approaches to advocacy such as conducting lecture sessions or workshops that merely cite the problems and what the ‘ideal’ mindset should be, can only go so far. People are only really convinced about something when they experience it themselves. Crayon Impact believes that attitude and behavior change in larger society can be tackled in much more innovative and creative ways that push people to think for themselves and question their stereotypes and prejudices. They bank on performing arts such as film, poetry, theatre, improvisational comedy and visual arts to be the platforms that can engage people in a fun way and still address serious social issues at the same time.
Tell us about Dancing in the Dark? Dancing in the dark is a three-hour dance workshop with blindfolds on. It is an all-inclusive workshop, which means it is for people with disability or vision impairment and people without. When you put the blindfolds on, people initially get quite claustrophobic. They cannot see the step the instructor is doing. They can only hear the instructions. But gradually they start to dance. It is a fun activity and yet it sensitizes people to the difficulties of

the differently abled. At the end of three hours when they take the blindfolds off they say “we kind of get it”.
What are your short term and long-term goals? We do one workshop every month. A brand new workshop that we conceptualize. We try it out and then we replicate it. Not just here in Mumbai but in other cities as well. Another thing the both of us are passionate about is mental health. This month we are planning a workshop on bullying (ABC - An Anti Bullying Collective). It is a workshop for people who are survivors of bullying. We are also working with a school in Pune that is an ‘Ashoka change maker’ school. We will be doing classes on story telling and media and film with kids who come from very troubled backgrounds, who see violence in slums every day. We have also tied up with the NGO ‘Khula Aasman’. They use arts as a medium for healing people across different vulnerable groups. People in prisons, people in rescue homes. Women who have been trafficked, been rescued and kept for rehabilitation. In the long run, well, we love teaching, so that is something we will always do. To volunteer to work on their events, donate film equipment for their next workshop or setting up a dancing in the dark event at your office: Contact: 8828364312. getyourcrayon.org

Women - Making a Difference Renuka Tahiliani
“
Renuka Tahiliani is an out and out Bandra girl. She loves Bandra. She was born here and cycled to school on these streets. She loves going for walks on the Promenade. She firmly believes that if you want to see a change somewhere, then you have got to get up and do it yourself. “Nobody else is going to come and do it for you”
THE WOMAN BEHIND
EQUAL STREETS by Sidharth Sodhi
RENUKA TAHILIANI IS A LADY WHO WALKS THE TALK.... TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY. I am a finance professional. I did a stint in Hindustan Lever for twelve years. Then I left my job because I wanted to be with my kids as they grew up. We were living in Juhu then. In Juhu, I was a little into activism when it came to cleanliness around my area. When I moved back to Carter road it irked me to see the seashore right in front of my house occupied by twenty hutments and a huge garbage dump. I decided to do something about it. That was the first time I heard of ALM’s (Advance Locality Management). I joined the ALM group that my building came under. I started meeting people from the BMC, the police and like-minded people from in and around Bandra. We started talking about extending the Promenade beyond CCD and cleaning up the area. We came to form the KBS (Khar-Bandra-Santacruz) foundation. And well, eventually we
managed to extend the Promenade and clean up the area. It was my dream to provide an open space for sport so we put out twenty chess tables there. And now we have a thriving vibrant chess community. We hold tournaments and even children from the slum come to play. We have instructors coming and teaching children for free. It is something I am very proud of. HOW DID EQUAL STREETS HAPPEN? I believe our growing dependency on cars is not sustainable. The image of cars being a status symbol is so very wrong. We came up with the idea of a ‘Car Free’ day. For four years the KBS foundation held the annual ‘Car Free’ day at Carter road. The message was very well received. From seven to ten in the morning, we drew an attendance of at least seventy to eighty thousand people. It was a
great platform to take another great idea forward. That is how ‘Equal Streets’ happened. In the 60’s it was first recognized that smoking is not a healthy habit. But it took five decades or more for the message to percolate down. This decade we are talking about the toxicity of fossil fuels and the impact they are having on our environment. And that message has to percolate down just like the smoking message did. The administration needs to realize how important connectivity through public transport is. That is the message of ‘Equal Streets’. Secondly, Mumbai needs safe pedestrian areas for walking and cycling. We cannot plan our cities in a car-centric manner. Our infrastructure should be for the people first. Equal Streets took place in BandraSantacruz West area in the month of April this year. Starting the eighth of May, Equal Streets will be held on four Sundays in Powai as well.

A Bandra AUTORICKSHAW DRIVER “Also the VIP’s in the area who are getting delayed make calls and get the traffic moving”, he quips. by Sidharth Sodhi

other option as there is nothing else he can do since he is not educated. Also since he is driving from place to place all day, eating proper meals at regular intervals is difficult for him to do.
Initially Mushtaq worked in a garage fixing car radiators. Then he got into welding for five six years. In 1996 Mushtaq started driving an auto rickshaw to earn a living. He has been doing that for twenty years now.
He prefers driving in Bandra west as compared to driving in Bandra east. “There is so much traffic and dirt in Bandra east that I do not fell like going there”.
Mushtaq works everyday, Monday to Sunday. Every morning he wakes up at 4 AM and drives from 6 AM to 6 PM. That really takes a toll on his back and neck and shoulders. He says he has no

He says that even if the traffic in Bandra west is chock-a-block, the people are sensible. They stay in their lanes and the traffic continues to move even if it is at a slow pace. “Also the VIP’s in the area who are getting delayed make calls and

get the traffic moving”, he quips. He lives with his Ammi (mother), wife, and three kids. He sees a lot of auto drivers seating three to four passengers headed in the same direction. The drivers charge a standard fare from each passenger thereby making an extra few bucks on every trip. For instance three passengers traveling on a ‘sharing’ basis pay rupees fifty each to travel from BKC to Kurla, then the driver makes rupees one hundred and fifty. But if the fare was calculated according to the meter, it would have come to just rupees seventy odd. “But I go by the meter” he smiles and says. “Allah ka shukar hai ghar ka kharcha chal jaata hai”.

Khar Station by Sidharth Sodhi
This railway station on the western line of Mumbai Railways was opened to the public on the first of July in the year 1924. The station gets its name after the Koli village Khar-Danda. Recently the staircases and walls in and around the station were given a much-needed makeover by volunteers of an NGO. With the summers upon us this burst of color could not have come at a more appropriate time. Recently ‘Water Vending machines’ or ‘Water ATM’s have been installed at the station. This is an initiative by the IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation). Commuters can get a 300-ml. glass of purified water for just one rupee. 500 ml of water will cost just three rupees. Such initiatives will give much needed relief to our fellow Mumbaikars. We caught up with the stationmaster Mr. Banwari Sharma. He said these machines would be operational shortly. Summer has started on a good note.

he Chhandogya Upanishad says that at the time of creation, the world’s egg divided itself into two parts: the one of silver and the other of gold. The silver part became the earth, the golden part the sky. The outer cover of the egg became the mountains; the inner cover the clouds and snow; the inside veins became the rivers and the liquid in the egg became the ocean. When the Sun appeared there was a great cry from which all the beings and all their pleasures were born. The Sun or Surya is the chief of the nine planets.

He is often depicted riding a chariot harnessed by seven horses, which might represent the seven colors of the rainbow or the seven chakras in the body. I have always looked at the sun as a sign of positivity, of life, of hope, that permeates our being. It is a time to buckle up and go out there in the world to achieve your dreams. For all the people who are constantly complaining that there simply aren’t enough hours in a day, well, the ‘day’ just got longer. An intake of fluids is a must in this weather to keep you hydrated. I know at least twenty people around me whom the doctors have strongly advised “..ki din mein paani zyaada peeney ki aadat dalo”. Well the weather should motivate you to pick up a sensational habit. The early mornings and evenings in this weather are a sight for sore eyes. It is a time to grab those funky shades and hats and caps, to sweat out those unwanted toxins. So enjoy the ‘fruits’ of summer and ride the heat wave. Nos egit, nimihina, ne publis bonihicae te

TAROTSCOPE YOUR FORECAST FOR THE MONTH OF MAY 2016
THE YEAR AHEAD FOR TAURUS Happy Birth Anniversary! There is something in your life, which appears to be reaching a completion, but hold on! Not yet. You will get a chance to redo some of the work in a manner more pleasing to you. For good health, develop a cardio routine you would like. Finances will steadily improve. (Please note: The guide uses Zodiac Signs according to date of birth, and not according to your Sun Sign, Moon Sign or Ascendant. There is no cusp.)
ARIES (March 21st-April 20th) You will have a fairly good month. Activities will seem more engaging than productive, but it’s all in the game. Health will be good, too, if you control indulgence. Finances are stable.
TAURUS (April 21st-May 20th): Your generally practical nature will make this month very positive for you. Don’t expect much productivity, as things are now long-term. Health will be balanced, as will finances.
GEMINI (May 21st-June 20th): Keep your focus on entertaining yourself this month as most of what you experience will be beyond your purview of control. This is only short-term, so don’t chafe. Health will benefit by some extra reading and cozy conversations. Finances will be stable.
CANCER (June 21st-July 21st): Do take good care of yourself as you go about your regular business this month. Most of what you will observe is not about you, so maintain a discrete distance. Health will benefit from goaloriented plans. Finances are better left alone now.
32
LEO (July 22nd-August 22nd): You will manage to extract productivity out of an indifferent month rather well, if you keep your focus on applying tried and tested methods. Don’t allow apparently new things to trick you; they are still old. Health will need care from colds and indulgences. Finances are fairly stable. VIRGO (August 23rd-September 22nd): You, amongst many, will have a good understanding of the way things are moving around you. To make them productive as well, be aware of what you want to see as the end result. Engage only if you are sure. Health will benefit from regular routine, as will finances.
LIBRA
(September 23rd-October 22nd):
You are still working in response to other people’s ideas, but your desire to show up will help you satisfy those people. Things are shifting at a very deep level, so hang in there. Health will love more of cardio workouts. Finances are fairly stable.

(October 23rd November 22nd):
It would be good for you to keep your focus on shortterm goals, for now. Stay away from meaningless debates and purposeless arguments. Keep to routine of your own choice. Health will benefit from routine diet and exercise. Finances are quite predictable.
SAGITTARIUS (November 23rd-December 21st):
You are cosmically blessed this month, whether that fetches you a lottery win or not. Whatever you face, you will have the exact resource you need to deal with it. Just don’t assume anything, and be open to more learning. Health will benefit from routine care and finances will be regular.
CAPRICORN
(December 22nd–January 19th):
As you are already an expert on disciplined approach, know that your own style can get you anywhere this month. Just be aware that contexts are loosely knit, so assuming anything can be tricky. Take short, grounded and tested steps. Health will benefit from more active routines. Finances are much the same. AQUARIUS (January 20th–February 18th): You, perhaps of all, have a good month ahead. Much of what is going on is right up your alley. Do pay attention to others’ opinions as you may find wisdom there. Don’t ignore convention; it can be helpful. Health will benefit from learning new things. Finances need to stay predictable.
PISCES (February 19th-March 20th): Having short-term goals that you enjoy, and taking familiar steps to fulfilling them will impart a sense of deep calm to you, this month.
