Tuesday 22nd March to Friday 6th May 2016 A fantastic exhibition showcasing some of our wonderful local talent! There is a massive range of mediums on display by all four artists including watercolour, pastels, inks, dyes, and oils. Each artist has their own style and range of subject matter. There really is something for everyone! Private view Monday 21st March 6-8pm

Back for a second year after a fantastic show in 2015 with amazing work and great sales for the artists! Open to all artists. Applications available now in store. Work to be dropped off on Saturday 7th May. Prizes of up to £75 in art materials will be announced on the opening night. Private view Monday 9th May 6-7.30pm

Tracy Cupitt Tuesday 5th July to Saturday 13th August 2016 Tracy loves the intricate shapes of leaves and plants, the vibrant colour of flowers and the delicacy of wildflowers. She loves to work in acrylics, pen and ink, watercolours and fine line pens and her aim is to produce beautiful work that brings joy and colour into peoples live’s. Private view Monday 4th July 6-7.30pm

Jack and Gill’s Art: Jackie Walter & Gill Benjamin Tuesday 16th August to Saturday 1st October Based in Wales these two ladies have returned to pursue their interest in art after careers and raising families. Exploring a variety of mediums their work includes everything from traditional landscapes and seascapes to quirky children’s illustrations. Private view Monday 15th August 6-7.30pm

Beginners & Improvers Drawing Classes

Animals in Pastel

with Liz Stirk Saturdays 9.30-11am

Learn all the drawing fundamentals including form, tone, shading, mark-making, perspective, composition, sketching, figure drawing, animal drawing and much more! Please book as places are limited. Equipment and materials provided, as well as a great selection of art equipment available to purchase. Tea/coffee provided. Sessions £10.

Art Workshops Landscapes & Seascapes in Watercolour with Gill Fox Saturday 30th April, 11.30am-2pm

Gill will guide you through the use of watercolours. We shall be using watercolour in a vibrant and colourful way to paint a variety of different scenes using photographs as inspiration. Please feel free to bring your own images if you wish to work from those. All equipment is provided. Just bring yourself and your imagination! Session £25, includes buffet lunch.

Our Tutors...

Liz Stirk is a freelance illustrator and artist who specialises in wildlife art. Liz studied at Manchester Art School and has concentrated on the use of graphite to represent the animal kingdom,. She has exhibited at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, with the Association of Animal Artists as well as winning through to the finals of the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year. Gill Fox was born in the North East and moved to Norfolk in her teens. Now based in the studio/ gallery Art & Soul in Padiham, Lancashire, Gill started painting animal commissions in acrylic in 2010. Within a year she had found the freedom of painting in watercolour and now paints in various media for galleries, exhibitions and commissions.

with Gill Fox Saturday 28th May, 11.30am-2pm Gill will guide you through the use of pastels to create a wonderful animal! Gain experience in depicting creatures in this expressive and beautiful medium. We will use photographs as inspiration. Beginners welcome! All equipment is provided. Just bring yourself and your imagination! Session £25, includes buffet lunch.

Nature in Brusho

with Gill Fox Saturday 25th June, 11.30am-2pm Gill will guide you through the use of Brusho. Brusho allows you to create expressive artwork with the minimum of fuss. It’s fun to work with and beginner-friendly. We will use photographs from nature as inspiration. Please feel free to bring any you wish to use also. All equipment is provided. Just bring yourself and your imagination! Session £25, includes buffet lunch.
