Research
I have researched into branding and identities that appear in the arts and culture sectors, as this has been a focus of my design practice in third year, and I want to reflect this in my own personal branding. What I love about these business cards is their use of serif typefaces Elizabeth Tyrer

which I feel have much more of a personality than sans serifs. I also appreciate branding where colour has been employed as this again creates visual interest and can help to distinguish the branding, creating something more memorable and eye catching. Design Presence

EKT Personal Branding For my personal branding, I wanted to reflect my interest in the arts and culture sectors, and so I have chosen a serif typeface for my logo mark that relates closely to the arts and style. I intended the logo itself to be striking and impactful, and so I have used only my initials. This is also more suitable for my personal logo as I have a long name that would take up too Elizabeth Tyrer

much space otherwise. League Gothic, a sans serif condensed font has been selected to juxtapose the wider Superior typeface. I have chosen a selection of bold, contrasting colours to appear on my business cards as I wanted my branding to be memorable and visually arresting, as well as representing my diverse interests within graphic design.
