FANTASTIC TALES: Schumann’s Piano Quintet

DOORS OPEN 5:30 PM

THE BAKER-BAUM CONCERT HALL

The immensely popular and fanciful Schumann Piano Quintet and fantasy-pieces bookend Janáˇcek’s quirky miniature piano concerto, based on imaginary animal encounters, as well as the U.S. premiere of fairy-tale pieces for violin and piano by our season’s composer-inresidence, Thomas Adès—one of the most important and celebrated composers, pianists, and conductors today (and our music director’s favorite living composer!).
