Dear Lamplighter Community, Each year the LPA Auction gives us a reason to come together in support of our school and have some fun. This exciting event will be held online this year! We will celebrate this amazing school with a new virtual experience, We Lamplighter! You will have the opportunity to bid on incredible items and experiences, all from the comfort of your home. A special thank you to our Auction Chairs Melanie Jabbour, Allison Williams, Lauryn Bloom, Lilly Albritton ’91, Ashley Ruggeri, Caroline Wagner, Leslie Johnson, Barrell Jones, and Janel Perez. The Auction Chairs, together with a team of talented volunteers, have spent this school year dedicated to making sure the Auction is an event for all families to enjoy and have worked countless hours to ensure the reimagined Auction’s success. I am deeply grateful to these parents and our team of volunteers for their time and talent. In the spirit of reimagining our events this year, the show must go on(line)! We are thrilled to announce the 2021 LPA Auction: We Lamplighter! We can’t wait to celebrate this amazing school with you. We are looking forward to our online auction, open to the entire Lamplighter community, which will run from Thursday, April 1 through Sunday, April 11. Underwriters will enjoy a special virtual event LIVE the evening of Friday, April 9. The Auction is an annual community event hosted by the Lamplighter Parents’ Association (LPA) and is the Association’s primary fundraising effort benefiting the School. Together with our team of amazing volunteers, we have been working hard all year long to create a unique, fun-filled event for our community. Auction funds will be used for one or more projects that involve a significant upgrade to the campus.

She believes your workout should be something you look forward to and loves helping her students meet their goals by finding the workout that motivates them best. Prior to COVID-19, Victoria taught yoga sculpt at CorePower and Hot Sculpt at Shine Hot Pilates + Sculpt. Currently she teaches outdoor classes at Shine and also offers private backyard classes for individuals and small groups.

for UNDERWRITERS AND SPONSORS We Lamplighter underwriters and sponsors are invited to attend a virtual class on how to prepare a charcuterie board and specialty cocktail. The class will be led by Lamplighter parents Roni Proter and Alex Snodgrass. A charcuterie board and cocktail kit will be delivered to you in advance of the event.
Roni Proter of Dinner Reinvented Roni Proter is an award-winning Food and Lifestyle expert and media influencer with more than a decade of national and top market television experience, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. She produced 80 episodes of her online show, Grate & Full, which airs on Huffington Post, MSN, AOL, Roku, and YouTube. Roni’s regular TV segments are broadcasted live on Fox & Friends, Good Morning Texas, WFAA, and Fox Good Day affiliates across Texas. Additionally, Roni created Dinner Reinvented, an interactive site showcasing videos, photos, and step-by-step instructions for easy weeknight meals. Roni is the parent of Lamplighter alumnus Kess ’23 and current Senior Baer ’21.

Alex Snodgrass of The Defined Dish Alex Snodgrass is a New York Times best-selling author and the recipe developer and food stylist behind the popular blog and social media outlet The Defined Dish, which won Saveur magazine’s 2018 Reader’s Choice Blog Award in the category of “Most Inspired Weeknight Meals.” She frequently hosts mega successful takeovers on the @whole30recipes account. Alex speaks at local events and was recently featured on a panel at SXSW about her life behind her blog and how she strives to be an authentic and genuine voice for her audience. Alex and her husband Clayton are the parents of two current Lamplighter students, Sutton ’23 and Winnie ’26.

Pre-order a special cookie kit for your family to enjoy the evening of Friday, April 9. This custom cookie decorating kit includes two each of three cookie designs, a custom palette of edible watercolors, icing, sprinkles, and two paint brushes. Kids can decorate (and eat) cookies while the adults enjoy the virtual VIP Reception and/or bid on fabulous auction items! All We Lamplighter underwriters will automatically receive one custom cookie decorating kit. Families may also purchase this kit a la carte for $50 each.

AUCTION RULES
AUCTION RULES The online auction starts at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021 and ends on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. Plan accordingly! Credit cards are required to bid. You will be required to register your credit card when you register for the online auction. All major credit cards are accepted. All auction items must be picked up Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the LPA Barn between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All sales are final. Successful bidders are required to pay for all items in full at the conclusion of the Auction event. There will be no refunds or exchanges on any items. If an item is not used before the expiration date, the Auction Committee is not responsible for replacing the item or extending the date. Trip arrangements, air transportation and ground transportation are subject to availability and are to be agreed upon with the donors. Air transportation, taxes and gratuities are not included, unless specifically noted. Shipping costs are not included, and anything that needs to be shipped will be the responsibility of the purchaser. All auction items are sold on an “as is” basis. Any description of an auction item is for the sole purpose of identifying the item and donor. Please read all guidelines and restrictions for each item. No statement contained in this program or made orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed a warranty or assumption of liability by the donor. GUIDELINES FOR USE OF A VACATION HOME The winning bidder of a vacation home at the Auction is a guest in a private home that has been graciously donated to our School. Guests should be mindful that the homeowners are not landlords and receive nothing in return for their donation. Guests must leave the home in the same condition as it was found upon arrival. 1. The homeowner will provide the winning bidder with a reasonable number of dates from which to choose, between April 2021 and April 2022, unless otherwise stated in the contract. The winning bidder will inform the homeowner in writing of the dates when the winning bidder will be able to use the home. The homeowner will work with the winning bidder to establish a mutually convenient date. 2. The homeowner will be asked to provide the winning bidder with written instructions for the use of the vacation home. Please read these instructions and abide by them, as failure to do so may damage the home and deprive the School of use of the home for future Auctions. 3. Vacation homes and trips are donated for ADULTS and FAMILY use only. Please abide by the restrictions of the donor. The winning bidder is responsible to pay all cleaning fees. Any damages incurred during the stay will be the responsibility of the winning bidder to reimburse the homeowner. Lamplighter will not be responsible to cover any cleaning or damage fees. 4. If children are allowed as guests, parents or caregivers are expected to watch their children at all times to ensure that the children do not cause damage or injury to the home or themselves. 5. The guest may not transfer the purchase of the vacation home to others without permission of the homeowner. LIGHT AT HEART 2021 MIXED MEDIA ON CANVAS - 48” X 48”
When I think of Lamplighter, I think of Light, Love, and. . .chickens. Inspired by this trilogy, I have created a heart made of paper feathers hand-painted by each Lamplighter student. Outside of the obvious reference to Lamplighter’s love of all things chicken, the feather also signifies some of the traits our students are learning at Lamplighter everyday: honor, trust, and freedom. Ancient Egyptians would weigh a heart against a feather. If the heart was lighter than the feather, it meant you were not weighed down by your worries or bad deeds. You could pass on to bliss in the Field of Reeds.

Pioneer Journey Join the second grade class on an adventure! It was a long journey from Missouri, over the Rocky Mountains, and on to California. Follow the second graders along the trail as they encounter hardships and fun along their journey. All of the ups and downs are documented in this keepsake photo book. Add On Project - A Photo In Time This keepsake photo features the adorable family portrait of your child taken before their pioneer journey begins.
