The Energetic Body

kundalini energy is centered around getting this gland to function. In order to understand what we are after, let’s briefly explore how kundalini has been depicted in different cultures around the world.

The Greek symbol of the caduceus, with wings and two snakes wrapped around a rod, appeared in the medical field after the original symbol of a rod with one snake. The rod with a single snake represented the rod of Asclepius, god of medicine and healing. There are multiple scholarly theories about these symbols. The caduceus that became the symbol of the American Medical Association was the symbol of noncombatants for the US Army Medical Corps. The symbolism of a spiral energy around a rod indicates the relationship between kundalini energy and the spine. With modern life, our spine health is at an all-time low because of weak core muscles to hold it upright, lack of movement to keep it mobile, poor posture due to sitting and looking down, and toxins that affect the spine through the different systems in the body affected by toxic buildup.

While both mystical literature and academia alike often seem to screw to the left ideologically, creating more distance between the student and concept of enlightenment by adding complexity, this technical perspective of enlightenment turns the screw to the right, bringing the one using the tool closer to the thing itself that the screw is hoping to secure. We are diving into the physiology of enlightenment seen through the similar practice that awakens kundalini energy cross-culturally. Physiology is the way in which a living organism or bodily part functions. This will help us understand what is happening in the body when we experience enlightenment, why there are so many common physical and mental methods across cultures of obtaining it, and why kundalini yoga provides a fast and direct map to technically expanding human consciousness.

Our modern age of electronic leashes, processed foods, fluoridated water, excessive sitting and sedentary lifestyles, and a work hard/play hard/party lifestyle all contribute to the deafening of our self-sensory

system. From a more analytical perspective than it is usually presented in, enlightenment is a natural function of the body. When the body is not functioning optimally, our ability to sense to our full capacity is dulled. The good news is, the food habits and lifestyles of healthy people are also being spread through the wellness field, internet, social media influencers, and trends in the fitness industry. Meditation, yoga, and hybrid fitness programs are being brought to the masses to educate them on how to reclaim their ability to feel good and ultimately reach an expanded state of consciousness regularly. Instead of being reserved for those who can afford healthy food or the luxury of meditating copiously, enlightenment is becoming a common part of our daily goals and normalized more than ever in this modern age.

The biopiracy of our minds and bodies from toxic foods and toxic lifestyles has been a cultural trend that developed from the unbridled passion of the American dream, where instant gratification of get-richquick schemes were valued over the well-being of those buying the products. Luckily, cultural trends are shifting so people understand how their body responds to toxins and how they can unlock or “bio-hack” their energy. This information is spreading, with more large food brands taking an active role in promoting healthier products. The trend is not moving fast enough, though, and just as fast as people are working to help empower people to reclaim their energy, there are still companies pushing for the normalcy of toxic cultural programming because it is lucrative for many industries.

One way we can bypass the system is to understand the steps we can take to reach enlightenment in our own life. This book is going to help you understand very simple things you can do to reclaim the knowledge that will help you be the best version of you, where you feel happy, are intuitive, and know how to regulate your state of consciousness so that you can make more informed lifestyle choices. We may not think eating processed snacks from the vending machine is a big deal, but if it’s part of the deadening of your senses so that you will struggle to have vitality, happiness, and enlightenment, well, that seemingly small decision
