At the beginning singing was just a hobby and I went to the Idol auditions for fun, then I ended up going through and winning the whole thing! That was when I realized it could be a career. And I’ve come so far, so to back out now is impossible because I really found the enjoyment in singing. I don’t want to back out of it.

In the song “Oh Baby” on the independent album is where I wanted to really show people who I really am. Not just the Rini Idol people knew, but Rinni Wulandari.
SINCE WHEN YOU START TO SING? I started singing at the age of 3 in front of my family, then that turned into me singing at school and my friends found out about it. DID YOUR FAMILY CARRY ON THE SAME MUSICAL INTEREST? My mom was a singer and my dad was a bassist. Both my older sister sings and my big brother is my drummer. WHO IS YOUR SINGER OBSESSION/ IDOL THAT YOU ADMIRE? Christina Aguilera.

When I was little, when I was 3, that was when I started to be able to sing properly and you can tell that it’s become a passion of my. Whereas most other kids at that age would just sing all randomly, I would sing Whitney Houston. Even though, well when it came to the lyrics it was a mess but the notes were spot on. AS A CHILD GROWING UP, MUSIC SURROUNDS US; WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC DID YOU HEAR THE MOST BACK THEN? I would listen to whatever my older siblings were listening to, so I was like their loyal follower. If they listened to 90s RnB, I listened to 90s RnB. I guess I’ve been a fan of RnB all along. AS THE 1ST WINNER IN INDONESIAN IDOL 4, HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE AND WHAT HAD YOU HOPED TO ACCOMPLISH WHEN YOU ENTERED? I got such a tremendous amount of experience. into Indonesian Idol, I wandered from Medan when I was 17, I had to do everything myself and I wasn’t about to be a disappointment. And it was through this experience that I learned I had to keep trying. I learned how to be better at self-control, how to keep moving forward; and I hoped that whatever I had to go through never broke me.
