There are many options – finance wise, including using the equity in your home, or looking at personal loan options. So, you have put an offer in to purchase your new home and it has a sparkling pool. Congratulations. What should your contract need to say about that? Is the contract subject to a pool safety certificate? If not, it definitely should. It is always good practice to add into the contract that the pool is to be left clean and tidy and in working condition. You might be surprised at the number of pools that receive a good dose of chlorine
the day before settlement, but the pool pump and filter are not working properly. A local pool retailer will be able to check the pool pump and whilst the costs vary between pool retailers the small amount of outlay is well worth it. If there is an issue with the pool pump and or filter we will be able to negotiate a reduced purchase price or that the seller rectifies the issues.
