SUMMER 2016
We are loving all of the creative methods for seating charts so far in 2016! Whether you hire a calligraphy artist to hand craft escort cards or etch names on a window pane, customization is key! While some of the ideas out there are gorgeous, they are not always practical. Try making your seating chart read alphabetically versus listing them out by table to avoid creating traffic. Locating your last name can be much easier than reading through a list of 150 or more people, only to learn you are seated at Table 15. Relieve the lingering in front of your chart and get the guests inside the reception sooner to get the party started!

The Cravory Cookies are the ultimate cookie experience, with a soft cookie center and perfectly baked surface that provides both a gooey and crisp cookie eating venture. The Cravory was co-founded in 2009 by young entrepreneurs who are extremely passionate about food and absolutely addicted to cookies. Over the cupcake craze and all about texture, they set out to fulfill their dream of creating a cookie company that would allow customers to indulge in a playful luxury that satisfies both the sweet and savory taste buds of cookie lovers, with an edge. Crafted from only the finest ingredients and gourmet flavor combinations, The Cravory has raised the bar on unique cookie recipes and traditional offerings by continually creating cookie flavors that are unexpected and totally delicious. The first Cravory cookie shop opened on Valentine’s Day 2014 in Point Loma, San Diego. The Cravory continues to develop innovative cookies while staying true to the fun and comfort found in eating a freshly baked cookie. We are so excited to feature a wedding from August 2015 that had a cast of vendors you simply must check out for your big day! This super sweet couple created a very personalized day that reflected their personalities and the life they have built together.
THE PROPOSAL: Prior to a date night set up by Ryan, he made sure that Jamie wasn’t dressed in her normal casual attire of messy bun and maxi skirt to suit the occasion. He then took her to the Rose Garden in Balboa Park where he stopped in the center of a ring of roses to deliver a sweet speech and his proposal of marriage. Ryan’s mother, a professional photographer, was on hand hiding out to capture the special moment.
THE DETAILS: The couple was interested in a classic look for their wedding. The dusty blue, gold and varying purple tone palate certainly created a romantic feel while their personal touches made the day! The cocktail hour featured a life size Jenga set built by the groom along with a corn hole set, which kept the guests entertained. Inside the reception, the guests were seated at tables adorned with candelabras designed by The Flower Shop set atop light gold crushed satin linens provided by Concepts Event Design. The tablescape was completed with gold chargers and place cards detailed with calligraphy by Betlem Calligraphy. The dessert table masterpiece was designed by the incomparable Sweet Cheeks Baking Co. , and featured a traditional cake alongside miniature desserts. The day was captured by the dynamic duo at Half Full Photography leaving the couple with some of the most gorgeous photos ever taken here at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club.
FAVORITE PART OF THE DAY: “When I first saw her walking down the stairs in her gorgeous white dress. In that moment all my anxiety from the planning and day had vanished and I knew I was doing the best thing I have ever decided in my life, to marry my best friend. I'm not an emotional man but I had tears of joy pouring out because of how beautiful she was and how perfect everything felt.” - Ryan “How can I choose one moment? Walking down the aisle, with the ocean peaking over the green hills, rays of light shining through the cloudy sky, seeing all of our loved ones from near and far in one place, and finally meeting my groom. He looked so handsome! That moment felt like a dream. At the end of our ceremony, we took communion for the first time as husband and wife, and our pastor prayed over our marriage...that was a moment we will never forget. My Dad's speech was so noteworthy and hilarious! All of our vendors were the greatest. It was a perfect day.” - Jamie
Thank you to Jamie and Ryan for sharing your big day with us here at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club!
