ALT1-C CLASSIC
TH E BR EMONT ALT 1- C WILL L AST YOU A LIFETIME. POSSIBLY LONGER . The Bremont ALT1-C is a mechanical aviation chronometer that’s 99.998% accurate. It’s painstakingly built by hand at our workshops in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England. But if the inside of the ALT1-C is delicate, the outside is anything but. The case is made from steel that’s seven times harder than you’ll find in ordinary watches. (We bombard it with electrons to toughen it up.) The crystal is sapphire and scratch-resistant. (We know, we’ve tried.) And the whole thing is water resistant to 100 metres. We hope you enjoy the ALT1-C. After all, you’ll be together a long time.

elcome to the multi-million pound world of the superyachts. Sunseeker are Britain’s biggest yacht builder, supplying the world’s wealthiest customers for the last fifty years. In the BBC documentary, Britain’s Biggest Superyachts: Chasing Perfection, viewers catch a rare glimpse into the company as they build their first £20m, 40 metre flagship superyacht. Each yacht is custom built in the UK, with Sunseeker employing over 2000 staff in Poole. Using a hawk’s eye, expert hands and the ultimate

Obviously come the crash, many banks didn’t want to lend money against assets such as jets, yachts and so on. So, for the last four years customers had to use their own cash and that has affected the small boat market.” He continued; “It’s easier to sell the bigger boats as the client has the money, he knows what he wants and when he calls us to visit him, the team and I will close that deal on the day” stating that with smaller boats, it can take up to two years to close a deal.

Larger than life With pieces boldly entitled “He’s Not Coming” and “The Moment She Realised She’d Married An Idiot”, meet the woman unafraid of tackling controversial issues. Introducing award-winning artist Anna Mazzotta. Corey John Richards
T
he great F. Scott Fitzgerald famously used literature to illustrate the roaring 20’s in prohibition era New York. It was a decadent time with a very particular style, where flappers reigned supreme and burlesque, theatre and partying was king. Like Fitzgerald, Anna Mazzotta, was similarly inspired by this period and uses art to illustrate a bygone era. Taking the best nuances of revivalist glamour she effortlessly blends it with a quirky humour to deliver life enriching, thought provoking paintings. Anna’s artwork has been described as a cross between Beryl Cook and Paula Rego, highlighting an intimate world where strong female characters conspiratorially share affection, strong bonds and jokes.
Anna trained at The Wimbledon School of Art and The Royal College of Art and her artworks are showcased in many public and private collections, most notably in those of royal photographer John Hedgecoe and of Robert & Susan Kasen Summer - An American passion: The Susan Kasen Summer and Robert D. Summer Collection of Contemporary British Painting.

As one of the youngest winners of the prestigious Jerwood Drawing Prize, Anna has made a name for herself as a worldrenowned artist, known for her compelling and original art. Her work proudly features in national and international collections, known for its unique quality and controversial subject matter that cheekily reveals a little bit more about itself each time you peruse it.
I am passionate about the beauty of caricatures, they’re a true connection with how an artist sees the world. LondonLux | January 2017
Anna is influenced by Art Deco, theatre, beach scenes, cinema and with a deep love for silent movies and how exaggerated expressions are used to tell a story. Knowing what influences her, it is easy to understand how Anna has finessed her crafts and its connection to the glitz and glamour of an almost lost world. In many ways, she follows people like director Baz Luhrmann as someone trying to connect the 21st century with a particular time. Reflecting on her art, Anna reveals: “My painting is a way of seeing the world; thinking, feeling, showing sensations, not just the mechanics of a scene, but instead emphasising energy, life and the allowing of the inner emotion of the characters to come forth.”
meaning and purpose. Adding to this, she provides further insight: “I am passionate about the beauty of caricatures, as they are a true connection with how an artist sees the world. The viewer then enters that world and then makes it their own, with their own interpretation. You can view Anna’s paintings, drawings and great prints on her website: www. annamazzotta.co.uk. This also provides a link to contact details should you wish to enquire after a curated art experience or purchase original art works, commissions and prints.
My painting is a way of seeing the world; thinking, feeling, showing sensations...not just the mechanics of a scene
Art and paintings are some of the rawest expressions of emotion and conveying a scene is more than simply putting characters in a setting. It is the use of colour, strokes and angles that allow the paintings to come to life. Anna’s unique subject matter is meticulously crafted with a fine understanding of what gives the scene
Anna and her passionate team care deeply about bringing art into peoples lives in an engaging, enjoyable and professional manner whatever your lifestyle. Expect the best whether you are buying a print, an original painting or indulging in a curated artistic experience.
Anna’s paintings are larger than life, suffused with the energy you would expect from the burlesque and theatrical influences. Make sure you check out her website and get in touch if you like what you see.

THE ART OF OVEN MAKING

arrison Ovens is an oven company like no other. This family-run, luxury, artisan brand prides itself on rejecting mass-produced manufacturing, in favour of traditional methods and a limited-output approach. These highly covetable, high-performing, solid fuel ovens are, according to publications like British Vogue and World of Interiors are “designed for the most beautiful homes and gardens in The World.” Harrison’s founder / designer / maker, Daniel Thumwood uses the finest British-sourced materials to assemble each oven by hand in his workshop in deepest South West London. Daniel’s appreciation of the aesthetics of classical art forms, learned when he studied Art History at university, alongside his love of organic food, cooking with fire and his artisan skills at metalwork, have all come together to create these stunning ovens. “We at Harrison strongly believe that artisans are now the game changers”, says Daniel, “In a world of massproduction and high-speed living, our skills go back to a time of authentic, step-by-step methods.” Every oven that Daniel produces has it’s own individual serial number and certificate of authentication, which is signed by Daniel himself, after he has tested and approved it individually.
