CoeurCoeur ‘d Alene River d’Alene River: Flowing gently from the headwaters in the Coeur d’Alene Mountains, the Cd’A River is home water to all our guides, with ample dry fly fishing for Westslope Cutthroat trout. This river affords anglers the opportunity to fish by either drift boat1.800.410.3133 or by wading. Full days or half, float or wade/walk, your choice. St. Joe River St. Joe River: From head waters in the

Bitterroot mountains, this shadowy freestone canyon river is one of the best fly fishing rivers Idaho has to offer. Anglers who choose this wade/walk adventure will be guided in wading techniques, stream reading, locating fish and using currents to their advantage. Allow a full day for St Joe trips. USFS Permit.

Thompson River: The Thompson begins at the Thompson River

outlet of Thompson Lake in northwestern Montana and ends over fifty miles later at the confluence of the Clark Fork River. Somewhat isolated, the Thompson is open all year and runs clear most of it. Possessing all the classic ingredients of a great trout stream, the Thompson is home to an abundance of Cutthroat, Rainbow and Brown trout. Plan a wade/walk fly fishing adventure and discover this isolated treasure, the Thompson River. Full day.

Methow River: The Methow (pronounced metMethow River

how) in northeastern Washington State starts from the watershed off the east slope of the northern Cascades down through the Methow Valley. This amazingly resilient freestone river, surrounded by high glaciated peaks, and formed from frigid waters that tumble down to the valley floor to create a natural fish habitat for a variety of species, including the Steelhead . What a better way to combat winter blues than to wet your line and experience first class fly fishing. Full day only.

Clark Fork River Clark Fork River: The Clark Fork is one of our most popular adventures. Located 90 miles from Coeur d’Alene, a scenic drive into the Bitterroot Mountains and Lolo National Forest of Montana. The Clark Fork was made for drift boat fishing, and our guides will position the drift boat just outside of the feeding lane, providing anglers an excellent opportunity to cast to Rainbow, Cutthroat and Brown trout, averaging 12”-20”. A full day trip only.

Hayden Lake Hayden Lake: Located 5 miles north east

of Coeur d’Alene, we hold the exclusive guide permits for Hayden Lake. This destination is very popular amongst Pike and Smallmouth Bass anglers. If you haven’t tried Pike or Smallmouth on the fly, we highly recommend it. Hayden also holds some of the largest Crappie known to fly anglers. Great for half day adventures.

Upper Columbia River Upper Columbia River: The upper portion of the mighty Columbia River, called Jurassic River by some, is home to monster Rainbow trout, which average 15-22 inches, though larger ones are not unusual. A well-kept secret, fishing the Upper Columbia in northeastern Washington State provides prime opportunities year round for you to catch wild trout on the fly. Full day only.

Mid Columbia River The mid

portion of the mighty Columbia River, called Rufus woods by some, is home to monster Rainbow trout, which average 9-12 pounds, though larger ones are not unusual. Columbia in Washington State provides prime opportunities year round for you to catch giant rainbows swinging form a boat. Full day only.

Loop Tackle Design/ Goldcup AB

Stockholm, Sweden

Loop Tackle Design ("Loop") and Goldcup AB ("Goldcup") announce that Goldcup has acquired a 75% equity ownership in Loop.

Under the guidance of the new board of directors, Loop management is pleased to inform it's suppliers, distributors, retail sales shops and loyal customers, that although Loop has experienced several challenging years, this new partnership creates financial stability and will now allow the management team to resume principle focus on it's core strengths of producing quality fly fishing tackle. Loop is built around a team of incredibly talented and passionate anglers merging the latest technologies and materials with creative design resulting in continued tackle innovations that benefit all anglers. Christer Sjoberg, CEO of Loop commented; "With 30 years of leading edge product development in the fly fishing industry, we are pleased to now have the financial and business strengths that our new partner brings to Loop. We now look forward to reestablishing our products in the industry and continuing our goals of producing superior angling tackle." Chris Verbiski, CEO of Goldcup commented; "Our decision to invest in Loop was based on Loop's continuing ability, even under adverse business conditions, to lead by example with innovation and new product development. As an avid angler logging several hundred days a year on the rivers and flats, the Opti Series and the newest Cross S1 series are simply amongst the best casting performance rods I have ever used. This company brings incredible value to the industry and we will work with the Loop team to build the brand and broaden our markets"

The new Loop Cross S1 fly rod series is the single most important revolution to occur in fly fishing since we introduced the large arbor reel over 20 years ago. It’s that big. If the large arbor provided revolutionary function that made the fly reel exponentially better, you won’t believe the difference Cross S1 construction makes with fly rods. We could write an entire book on the adventure that has led to the Cross S1 series of fly rods. We could look up and write down all the available superlatives that are yet unused by other manufacturers (not many left nowadays), but the only way to truly describe what we mean is to hand one to you and let you test for yourself. If there has ever been a time in our history of development of high-performance fly fishing gear where Loop merited a “look” and a test from the fly fishing world, it is now.

Over a period of two years we have developed these fly rods where we used the new 3M™ Powerlux™ Composites. The result is amazing, the strength associated with the 3M™ Powerlux™ Composites generates a lightness and controllable elasticity that just must be experienced. We have carefully restricted the inherent elasticity of the Loop Cross S1 so that the rod is working evenly over a much wider range than other fly rods. We have managed to make super-strong featherweight fly rods, with an emphasis on fishing where the rod is working with minimum vibration through an entire load range – from close-in and out to even extreme distances. The design requires minimal input power where the rod does the job. It has never been so easy and taken so little effort to deliver precision loops at 10-meters or 30-meters while easily controlling the line or changing the pace of the cast. Cross S1 will be available in March 2012.
