confessed, “I didn’t want to get divorced, I didn’t want to be a divorced person, I really didn’t want to be a split family with my children. It upset me because it m meant I wasn’t who I thought I was and that was so painful and w sso disappointing. In myself.” The actor said his drinking w was under control while he was m married to Jen, 47, with whom h he shares Violet, 14, Seraphina, 111, and Samuel, seven, but it b became a problem when their t “marriage was falling aparrt”.
Ben, who hasn’t spoken a lot about his alcoholism since his third stint in rehab in 2018 – the first two were in 2001 and 2017 – says he also regrets his brief setback last year, when photos of him looking drunk and gambling emerged. “Relapse is embarrassing, obviously,” the Gone Girl star laments. “I wish it didn’t happen. I really wish it wasn’t on the internet for myy kids to see. Jen and I did our best to address it and be honest.” #
