BEN’S RIGHT TO REGRET

THE BODYGUARD BARES HIS BOD!

You might remember I’m a bit of a fan of Bodyguard star Richard Madden, so seeing this picture of him sans

shirt at the top of a mountain certainly brightened up my day. Those muscles! That cute grey streak in his hair! That 70s-style chest rug!

Obviously I’m not objectifying the actor in any way, shape or form, merely admiring the physique of someone at their peak, while they bond with nature and a few million Instagram followers. What could possibly be wrong with that?!

But while Richard was (naturally) bombarded with appreciative messages from his legions of admiring fans, his celeb pals did at least help him keep it real. Fellow actor Douglas Booth wrote, “Did you Uber to the top? You don’t look very sweaty,” while Alfie Allen joked, “You’ve changed.”

Just before his Brits appearance, poor Harry Styles was mugged at knifepoint, in London’s posh Hampstead of all places. For those of you not familiar with this exclusive corner of north London, it’s a beautiful old Georgian village that’s now home to celebrities and footballers alike – and is the spot where I spent most of my teenage years hanging out trying to get into bars.

Back then, muggings were pretty much unheard of. But now it’s a mecca for the super-rich, the area has inevitably seen a rise in crime, with residents getting their Rolexes snatched off their wrists in broad daylight. It’s awful that Harry, who was also stalked by a homeless man he tried to help in Hampstead, has been attacked. But I’m pleased to see that unlike many celebs, he’s still happy to wander around his local hood late at night (11.50pm to be precise) and isn’t chauffeured everywhere. I hope this unpleasant incident doesn’t put him off going out and about in the capital on his tod. HARRY’S HORROR

I’ll never forget Gwyneth Paltrow describing ex-boyfriend Ben Affleck’s perfect woman as “anyone that serves cold beer in a bikini”. Or the day his wedding to Jennifer Lopez was called off just after I’d written an extensive A-Z on their nuptials. It certainly seemed he’d struggle to settle down, so I was surprised when he ended up with the beautiful but sensible Jennifer Garner. For a while he seemed happier to be pictured in pumpkin patches with one of their three gorgeous kids on his shoulders, but then his well-documented demons reappeared and their marriage ended in divorce.

Last week, Ben confessed the split was his “biggest regret”, adding, “I started drinking more and more when my marriage was falling apart. My drinking of course created more marital problems.”

That and shagging the nanny, I guess. The truth is that most middle-aged men who start to think the grass (and the 24-year-old stunner lying on it) is greener on the other side end up regretting it. We should congratulate Ben for being so honest and reminding those tempted to stray that home really is where the heart is. Stretch marks are as much a part of being a mum as changing nappies, so hats off to Ashley Graham for baring hers just a month after she gave birth to her son. The model posted an image on Instagram with the caption, “Same me. Few new stories” alongside the snap of her tum showing the vivid purple marks. As we should all remember, babies take nine months to grow, and those marks on the outside reflect what’s going on inside. To fit that growing baby in our wombs, our internal organs have to be squashed and stretched too. That’s why it’s so important for new mums not to worry about losing weight or getting fit again immediately. The more role models we have like Ashley, the better!
