ASHFIELD GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL AT GREENPOWER FESTIVAL Local school girls took part in the festival by test driving a new electric race car and reveal plans to return and compete next year.

O
n Saturday 11th June 2016, a group of Year 13 and Year 14 students participated in the all island NI & IE Greenpower Festival held at Kirkistown Racing Circuit. The students had been invited along to test drive the new scratch build car , the ‘SG1’ on behalf of the Greenpower Education Trust. Greenpower is a world-leading STEM project, based in the UK, primarily for schools, to
design, build and race an electric car. Over 600 teams participate nationwide in the programme, with a growing international footprint with schools in China, USA and Poland now participating. The designer and engineer of the car, Gary CouldenSmith, had transported the car from Scotland to the event so the girls could take part. The teams looked the part in their coveralls and new helmets,
which were very kindly lent to the team by Phillip McCallen Motorcycles Ltd. Despite never driving an electric race car before and not officially competing, the girls drove the car extremely well and managed to top the leaderboard in both of the one and a half hour head-to-head races. Next year, Ashfield Girls’ hope to compete in Formula 24 with their own car.
Ikea Invests £275K In Refurbished Restaurant
T
he refurbishment increases capacity by almost a third, making it NI’s largest restaurant. Now seating 450, it has been designed for the digital age and now includes USB ports, free Wi-Fi and an interactive digital children’s play area. 12 new co-workers were also recruited in IKEA Food. Designed by IKEA Belfast’s Interior Design Team and with relaxed seating and booths, it incorporates garden walls, wooden birch trees and a range of different seating zones which overlook Belfast Harbour. There is a strong focus on sustainability with LED lighting used throughout, and the serving of UTZ sustainable coffee and fish and shrimps from independently certified fisheries. Last year, IKEA became the first retailer to use 100% cotton from more sustainable sources and these fabrics are also used throughout the new decor. Pictured from left are IKEA co-workers Rebecca Davies, Food Manager, Kevin Armstrong, Bistro Manager and project leader for the refurbishment and Louise Anderson, Restaurant Manager.

A
rmy Reserve officers and soldiers from 206 (Ulster) Battery, Royal Artillery based at Coleraine and Newtownards had the honour of firing the celebratory traditional 21 Gun Royal Salute, a tribute echoed at similar events in London, Cardiff and Edinburgh.
Today Gun Salutes mark special, usually Royal, occasions, but the ceremony originated when the firing of a cannon as a Salute indicated the friendly intent of an empty chamber and Gun Salutes were fired, both on land and at sea, as a sign of respect and welcome. This month Defence
Relationship Management which works through the Reserve Forces & Cadets Association in Northern Ireland to support the relationship between employers and Reservists invited guests from the worlds of business, medicine and education to enjoy the occasion.
Holywood Commemorates Its Role In The Great War
W
R-L DEPUTY MAYOR, ALDERMAN BILL KERRY, ROBIN MASEFIELD AND JOSH REYNOLDS FROM ROCKPORT SCHOOL
The Deputy Mayor of Ards and North Down Borough Council, Alderman Bill Keery, formally opened a travelling exhibition to commemorate the First World War, on Thursday 23 June 2016 in Holywood Library. The exhibition in Holywood Library will be on display until 7th July.
ith the aid of a Heritage Lottery Fund small grant, North Down Museum and a number of local historical societies, a travelling exhibition was developed to highlight some of the men from the borough that fought in the Great War, with a particular focus on 1916 and those killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme on 1 July. The grant also enabled the local societies to host additional events associated with the War which in the case of Holywood will include a session on 22 September digitising local objects and stories. Robin Masefield, Holywood and district U3A Local History Group, said “We were pleased to be approached by North Down Museum to work in partnership on this exciting project, and are delighted that this exhibition will be in Holywood Library. Members of our Group were saddened to find that as many as 21 men from Holywood died on 1 July 1916, and we are glad to be able to pay tribute to them and their families 100 years later. Holywood’s contribution to this exhibition focuses on just two of those men. One was the son of a German printer who had settled in the town, yet he fought in the same Regiment as the son of a prominent local family who had previously been a member of the Ulster Volunteer Force. We encourage members of the public to view the exhibition, and participate in the series of forthcoming commemorative events to remember and reflect. We are most grateful to the Deputy Mayor for opening the exhibition, and would place on record our thanks to Council officers and Library staff for their willing assistance. We are still looking to record further information from local residents about Holywood men and women who served in the Great War, and will be organising another exhibition in September, which will provide the opportunity for including digital recording of reminiscences and artefacts.”

06 /// UP HILL STRUGGLE
FESTIVAL OF MOTORSPORT AT THE CULTRA HILLCLIMB The world’s oldest active hillclimb, based at Cultra Manor, took place last month and the event proved to be as popular as ever, with the Hillclimb attracting over 2000 visitors spanning 10 countries to the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum.
T
he Cultra Hillclimb has been running since 1905 in County Down, and the 2016 edition was a celebration of its 111th year. There was the largest collection of pre-war MG Midget cars in Ulster since the heyday of the Ards TT. On top of that, there was also a display commemorating the centenary of the birth of German manufacturer BMW. There were over a hundred cars present at the historic event, with cars from 1929 to 2016 represented in a festival which celebrates the variety of the automotive industry. The Cultra Hillclimb was also well supported across the country, with competitors from England, Scotland and as far as Australia on show, turning a successful local event into a global

affair. The event was won by Jaye Nevin. The Coleraine driver beat the 100 car field, completing the 650 metre climb in an impressive 32.58 seconds. Nevin, who was competing in a 1999 Reynard Formula Vauxhall Lotus, finished just tenths of a second ahead of NI Hillclimb Championship Leader, Chris Houston. There were demonstration runs from British Touring Car driver, Chris Smiley, and Porsche Carrera Cup driver, Charlie Eastwood. Both rising stars in their respective categories, and enjoyed the experience of driving up the historic course. Smiley, who was driving a Lexus GS-F, was delighted to have been invited to participate at the event, “It is an honour to have been asked to
come down and take part, the Cultra Hillclimb is an event that has a lot of history. Thanks to Charles Hurst Lexus for giving us a car to put on show today!. It has been a great day,” said the 24 year old Carrickfergus driver, “it has only rained a wee bit and the weather has been kind. It is an excellent event and great to see all the fans!” President of the Thoroughbred Sports Car Club, William Heaney, who organises the event said, “This was by far our most ambitious Cultra so far, but once again the small TSCC Team, supported by our colleagues in the British Motorsports Marshals Club and other local motor clubs, delivered an event of which they can all be immensely proud.”

WHALLEY FINE ART UNVEIL NEW GALLERY SPACE
Friday 27th May was a grand occasion for Stephen and Dawn Whalley as they opened their new contemporary art gallery at 378a Belmont Road, Belfast.
T
here were over 60 new paintings on display by over 20 different artists and the gallery hosted over 200 guests to beautiful drinks reception and exquisite food by renowned chef Andy Rea from Home Restaurant and Mourne Seafood. Whalley Fine Art recently renovated and moved to the historic stable property set in the grounds of Lismachen House at the bottom of Craigantlet Hill, near Massey Avenue. Owner Stephen added “Our recent expansion has allowed us to increase our exhibition capacity and with great onsite parking facilities and only 3 miles from Belfast City Centre, we look to build our gallery and framing business two fold this year”. Dawn and Stephen have been in the Art Gallery business since 2008 and are a husband and wife team dedicated to working with their customers to find and add to current or new art collections. They started off in the High Street in Holywood and had a great 8 years there, but after finding the perfect new building and location moved to get away from the hussle and bustle of the High Street where they could use the new space to display more work and have their own personal studios based there. Dawn is famous for her animal and ‘Snail’ paintings
NEW HOME
which are now internationally known. Her Facebook page reaches over 100,000 people when she holds regular competitions to win some of her original art work, Ltd Edition Prints and a vast array of products, find her under Dawn Crothers Artist. The new gallery has plans to introduce corporate destressing days where you come and paint in the beautiful new surroundings and even have the opportunity to learn how to frame and come away with a finished piece of art at the end of the day to hang and admire in your very own living room! Their next big exhibition is by Sligo based artist Heidi Wickham which will headline in late August and will be entitled ‘Bears and Hares’ this is a must see as Heidi is one of their biggest selling artists whom the gallery represents here in Northern Ireland.

LOCAL COMPANY UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT Dynorod are based in East Belfast at Grove Street East and recently have appointed Connor Fitzgerald as Head of Organisational Development.
As Head of Dynorod Connor tells us that the East Belfast business employs 32 people with 21 engineers on the road covering all of Northern Ireland. Dynorod is well known through the UK for delivering affordable drainage services and has been in operation since 1963 delivering a professional and personal service for over 50 years. Connor is keen to tell us about the range of additional services that Dynorod can provide to homes and businesses within the area and beyond. WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO DYNOROD? Dynorod is a recognised brand for quality and service. The NI Franchise was bought over by a Belfast based company and has great staff, many of whom have been working within the company for a number of years. Dynorod already has a good reputation allowing us to build upon this and grow the business through the additional services we now provide as well as continuing to unblock drains and pipes for people and businesses. WHY SHOULD CUSTOMERS CALL DYNOROD FOR DRAINAGE PROBLEMS? Dynorod operates across NI and offers a 24 hour on-call service. We don’t charge a call-out fee and we keep our customers informed of arrival times and problems we encounter on site. We pride ourselves in dealing with most jobs within an hour or so of receiving the call. We have over 50 years’ experience and in the world of drains Dynorod are the specialists. TELL US WHAT OTHER SERVICES DOES DYNOROD PROVIDE? Japanese Knotweed - Our first site survey is absolutely free. There are several hundred invasive plants in the UK. The Government has introduced new rules mean people can now be fined up to £2,500 for failing to control Japanese Knotweed and other invasive
CONNOR FITZGERALD, HEAD OF ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
plants. More significantly companies who fall foul of the law can be fined up to £20,000. Plumbing and drainage repairs Our teams are available to carry out all drain repairs ranging from minor repairs such as replacing a gully or manhole cover up to and including the renovation or replacement of your entire drainage system. In addition to this we also have a number of skilled and experienced plumbers who can tackle those jobs above the ground. Trade Affluent Licence Applications - Often people find this process daunting or do not have records with the information required for the application. Dyno-Rod’s FOG Team can simplify the process for you by gathering all the information required and completing the paperwork with you. Grease traps upgrades and maintenance - Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) along with food and detergents are one of the most common causes of drainage system problems. They cause blockages in the drain, soakaways and lead to further problems in onsite wastewater and treatment systems. We recommend that a grease trap be installed and maintained at your home to prevent problems associated with FOG in the drainage system. Septic Tanks - Septic tanks require regular maintenance to ensure it functions effectively and protects the environment. While many septic tanks functioned for many years without desludging, an increase in the use of detergents and other materials over time may have affected the biological process in the system and solids may not break down as quickly. Dyno-Rod NI are at hand to assist you.
CCTV - If you are buying or selling your home you should check that the drainage is in working order. For a low cost fixed rate Dynorod can provide you with a CCTV survey and full drainage inspection report. Many of our customers are unaware that buildings insurance will cover drainage so if in doubt contact the experts at Dynorod and we can also help with completing the CCTV survey needed for home insurance claims. It can be also used to survey chimney breasts. Wastewater treatment and pumping systems – We have a dedicated Wastewater Technical Services Team at hand to look after any system, regardless of its make or model. We stock standard parts for many of these systems so that we can carry out repairs while on site during our initial visit. Graffiti removal – Graffiti can cause everything from anxiety to loss of custom depending on the type and nature. Dynorod can remove this quickly to restore your property or business back to the way it should be. We also provide the following services: · Roof clearances, gully & gutters cleaning, repair & maintenance · Power-washing · Drain Mapping, Tracing & Odour tracing · Water leak detection · Deep clean of kitchens / rooms · Power washing · Pest control - seagulls, pigeons & rodents · Servicing of road & domestic gullies · Domestic & commercial drainage services · Smoke tests · House clearances & building clearances · CCTV surveys for house sales · Skip Hire – 4,5, and 10 tonne

LITTLE WING’S ‘GET ON YOUR BIKE’ GIVEAWAY! Northern Ireland’s favourite pizzeria, Little Wing has launched an exciting ‘Get On Yer Bike’ Giveaway in celebration of Bike Week, offering six lucky children the chance to win brand new bikes across each of their six restaurants.
T
he popular home grown pizzeria group will give away one bike in each of its restaurants across Northern Ireland. Entry is simple – enjoy a tasty Little Wing pizza in any of the six locations, fill out a ‘Get on Yer Bike’ Giveaway flyer and you’ll be entered into the draw to win. The competition will run for one month, from 15th June - 15th July, with winners being drawn week commencing 18th July. The competition launches on Wednesday 15th June to coincide with Bike to School Day, and is just another example of Little Wing’s continuing dedication to its community and social responsibility. Commenting on the launch of the competition, Luke Wolsey, Managing Director, Little Wing Pizzeria said: “Little Wing Pizzeria is always looking for ways to support our local children
and their families and we are thrilled to be tying in with Bike Week for the first time. The bike giveaway is just one way of helping to promote the healthy living message to local children and give something back to our supporters, with Bike Week 2016 being the perfect platform to launch the competition.” Having recently expanded their digital offering with the release of their first ever mobile game app ‘Little Wing: Wingin’ It’, the pizza restaurant is also gearing up to launch the Little Wing Little Stars bursary scheme for the third year this autumn. This initiative invites children’s clubs within the vicinity of each Little Wing restaurant to apply for bursaries of up to £500. Little Wing is also passionate about its green credentials. The pizzeria chain plants 2,000 trees for every new restaurant it opens, with over 12,000 saplings planted so far, absorbing up to
672,000 lbs of CO2 every year. Further social responsibility initiatives include food waste recycling, with the compost given out in packs with tomato and chilli seeds to encourage little green fingers. The pizzeria also uses local suppliers wherever possible to keep transportation emissions to a minimum. Luke Wolsey said: “With six successful branches, we are always looking for new ways to improve our offering and to make a positive contribution within the communities that we operate.” The Little Wing’s ‘Get on Yer Bike’ Giveaway will run from 15th June to 15th July and is open to all children aged up to 12 years old dining in the restaurants. For further information visit www.littlewingpizzeria.com, or follow Little Wing on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram (LittleWingPizzeria).

Balance Mineral Drink
www.facebo k.com/scho lweardepot
The perfect combination of mineral salts in the highly absorbable citrate form, trace elements and L+ lactic acid contributes to the maintenance of a normal pH within the body. The taste is of fruity strawberries.
Stay in Balance with a daily mineral drink
Why is Balance Mineral Drink needed?
The pH of the human blood stream should measure around 7.4. We can help maintain this by ensuring that our diet contains plenty of vegetables, unprocessed foods and plain water, rather than processed meats, refined sugar and caffeinated drinks. Maintaining a normal pH can lead to many health improvements.

HOLYWOOD CREATOR OF LILY’S DRIFTWOOD BAY JOINS YOUNG FANS AT WORLD PREMIERE Hundreds of children from across Northern Ireland packed into Odyssey Cinemas for the World Premiere of Lily’s Driftwood Bay Series Two, with NI4Kids.
PICTURED Show creator Colin Williams and his children Ben and Sophie from Holywood joined Orlagh O'Keefe, who is the voice of Lily, at the world premiere to see Lily's Driftwood Bay on the big screen for the first time
A
s well as being the first children to view episodes from the new series which started on Nick Jr on Monday 6 June, they had the unique opportunity of seeing Lily appear on the big screen! The award winning pre-school series is about a little girl who creates an imaginary world from treasures she finds washed up on the beach. Colin Williams, Creative Director and Founder of Sixteen South, said: “It was brilliant to be able to celebrate the launch of our new series with an exclusive premiere on the big screen! It takes 92 people to make a series of Lily’s Driftwood Bay – so it was lovely to be able to treat them to a special
viewing – along with an audience of hundreds of kids and parents too!” The second series of the mixed animation pre-school series sees global Country music legend Dolly Parton starring as a Singing Chicken and Rob Brydon playing a Handsome Silver Fox. They join a cast of adorable beachside characters, voiced by an array of talent including Stephen Fry (QI, The Hobbit), Peter Mullan (Harry Potter, Top of the Lake), Tameka Empson (EastEnders, 3 NonBlondes), Jane Horrocks (Sunshine on Leith, Absolutely Fabulous), Ardal O’Hanlon (Father Ted, London Irish), Annette Crosbie (One Foot in the Grave, Hope Springs) and Richard
Dormer (Game of Thrones, Fortitude) alongside Orlagh O’Keeke from Belfast, as Lily. Recently, Lily’s Driftwood Bay won the prestigious Prix Jeunesse International 2016 award in Munich adding to its growing list of honours, which includes a Broadcast award, a British Animation Award (BAA) and an Irish Film and Television Award (IFTA). Children who attended the screening with Odyssey and NI4Kids saw Lily’s Driftwood Bay on the big screen for the first time, met Orlagh O’Keefe, the voice behind Lily and left with Lily bags filled with goodies. Lily’s Driftwood Bay is supported by Northern Ireland Screen.

PDO Threading - a cosmetic technique that lifts and tightens sagging skin tissues by inducing collagen production using the implantation of fine, absorbable threads into the skin using small needles. 20 /// LOCAL BUSINESS
GOING GOING GONE AT BLOOMFIELD AUCTIONS The success of TV auction shows is helping business to boom at Bloomfield Auctions in East Belfast.
A
uctioneer and valuer, Karl Bennett, says auction veterans and newbies alike are flocking to buy and sell at auction, inspired by what they see on the small screen. From fine art and jewellery to silver, furniture and collectables, it seems we can’t get enough of the past and, in a year packed with historic anniversaries, local auction audiences are ‘going mad’ for militaria and also for memorabilia from The Troubles and Partition. The increase in business has prompted Bloomfield Auctions to move to a larger facility within the historic Owen O’Cork Mill complex on Belfast’s Beersbridge Road, just yards away from its original home. Karl says, “This great new space is allowing us to expand still further our eclectic weekly auction of household, vintage & valuable and we’re currently calling for people to bring us lots for sale in some particularly significant Summer events. We’ve also developed for the first time an easy to use on-line bidding which

means that, even if you can’t be at an auction in person, you can still be in it to win it!” This Summer will see a major focus on Militaria and Medals; Guns, Swords and Bayonets and vintage items from the Royal Irish Constabulary, Royal Ulster Constabulary and 36th Ulster Division. Memorabilia from The Troubles and Partition will also be much to the fore. Karl says, “The growth of interest – and value - across these sectors has been incredible and interest from collectors is already high. We’re looking forward to an amazing auction night with fascinating pieces and possibly some fabulous prices as well for the high end items. This is a broad sector which will be of huge interest to the growing number of collectors out there, but I would urge people to go and have a rummage through their own homes: they might be surprised at what they can unearth from our recent history and I know they’ll be delighted at what some of those previously overlooked and undervalued items might fetch at auction!”
Forthcoming auctions will also feature Vintage Toys and Collectables as well as Fine Art, Silver, Antiques and Jewellery and lots are already being collated and assessed.Karl says, “People can be a bit tentative about bringing their items to an auction house, particularly first time around, but we work hard to make the experience pleasant as well as profitable and we’ll happily advise on valuations, whatever you bring to us. We reckon there’s nothing to beat the excitement of watching an auction in full flow with people bidding on your item! It’s certainly a great incentive for some Spring cleaning! Buying too is easier than you might imagine, with opportunities to view what’s on offer in the week before the auction and we’re always happy to provide some guideline prices and guidance on how to bid, in person or on-line. Buying or selling, auctions always have an aura of excitement about them and there is always the potential for a few great surprises amongst the craic and the crack of the hammer!”
Bloomfield Auction is held each Tuesday from 6:30pm, with viewings Monday 10am–7pm / Tuesday 10am–6:30pm / Saturday 10:30am-1pm. FOLLOW BLOOMFIELD AUCTIONS ON FACEBOOK OR VISIT BLOOMFIELDAUCTIONS.CO.UK

TRAVELLING LIGHT It is a struggle, indeed a challenge to travel hand luggage only. There can be no room for error, everything must be carefully chosen and it is all about the preparation. There are also some products that are just too beautiful to decant into a plastic pot and this is where you need to get clever.
FOUNDATION
PERFUME I love Jo Malone Peony and Rose Blush. So although I have a large bottle, I keep the 100ml one just for holidays. I think always having your favourite perfume when you travel is nice, it’s familiar and always makes you feel good!
I’m loving Delilah Time Frame Foundation. Not only is it beautifully packaged but it is held inside a perfect, long tube with stunning rose gold cap - a cap which is very secure I should add! Under 100ml so no worries there!
CLEANSER & TONER
SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
This is easy - thank you YonKa! Yon-Ka have brought these out in travel sizes. So I don’t have to compromise on pumping lots of product into another receptacle maybe to only use a little of it or maybe not having enough. *Lotion PS is a holiday non-negotiable, so refreshing after a flight and very soothing if you’ve had a little bit too much sun!*
First of all, check what your hotel will be providing. Quite often I have arrived to find they use a brand I love and there was no need to pack my own. But most of the time I pick up the travel size Aveda at my hairdressers. Use what you know works and if no travel size is possible then this is one you may need to decant. Screw that lid tight!
MOISTURISER
At DHMB we are always happy to give you your Yon-Ka or Environ moisturiser in a sample size. This means you have your high end cream to take away with you without compromising its effectiveness. So always ask, you may even get a few other samples to try out as a wee bonus!! If you are going for a long weekend then go through the makeup bag and remove all the items you don’t need. Cramming three lip glosses into those wee clear bags isn’t a priority, so choose wisely. Normally all you need is the foundation, mascara and gloss in the clear bag. I choose powder based products then just to keep it all simple. Bronzer, blush, lipstick, lipliner, gel eyeliner and eye shadows are all ok for the main bag! 7 S TAT I O N S Q U A R E | H E L E N ’ S B AY 0 2 8 9 1 8 5 2 8 5 9 | D E B O R A H H A R P E R B E A U T Y. It is lovely to see the weather improving and as Summer approaches, it is vital that everyone becomes ‘Sunsmart’. In the run up Chr istm to Summer holidays I will aconsider s C some l of u the b stepsN that you can O W take to stay safe in the sun and the st ar te reasons why this is so dimportant. !!
Join to help c day and ut hemost common Skin Cancer cost of Chr istthe istmaIreland. Cancer in Northern s. Around 3,300 people develop skin cancer
each year, accounting for 28% of all cancers diagnosed. Research by Cancer Focus NI shows that 8 out of 10 people do not apply sunscreen at home in Northern Ireland, unless they are “actively” sunbathing. The message from Burns Pharmacy is you of the services don’tJust needsome to be sunbathing to get we provide...
skin cancer, rather it’s over exposure to the sun (Ultra Violet Radiation/ UVR) which can cause serious damage. It is important for everyone to avoid getting sunburned especially children. Studies by Cancer Research UK have shown that sunburn in childhood can greatly increase the risk of developing skin cancer later in life.
My top ‘Sunsmart’ tips are: •Seek shade between 11.00am – 3.00pm and reduce your exposure to the sun at this time.
•Make sure you never burn. •Aim to cover up with a T-shirt, hat and sunglasses. •Remember to take extra care with children •Use sunscreen with minimum factor of 15+ and apply liberally. These measures are essential, not just when travelling to holiday destinations but in relatively milder weather conditions locally. I hope you all have an enjoyable and a ‘Sunsafe’ Summer.

Bright Ideas For Sunny Spaces Whether it is sunny or not, it’s great to get the alfresco feel throughout your home in the summer months. Sometimes a hard task with the Irish weather! But when you do throw open those windows and doors, it’s a
great opportunity to see each space in a different way. Trying to capture that summery feel indoors can be achieved by just a few changes or moves. And doesn’t have to break the bank! Here’s a few ways you can try.

CREATE LITTLE SIMPLY STYLED AREAS
1
Where there is natural light, to show off a great print or photograph that you have. Keep small jars, or mini crockery for little flower stems – a great way to add a touch of greenery to a desk or corner.
2
/// 2
Nothing like adding an outside door or window to add a quirky touch to your home! Portholes, stained glass windows, barn doors, half-doors, or even a ships door as seen here all bring a wonderful unique touch to an interior, while adding a little outside charm. /// 3
A FEW CACTI CAN CREATE A HOT SCENE!
Group a bunch of flower stems /cactus plants or even framed images of flower drawing together to create a lovely scene of summer. A wall of themed images with different frames is a great way of using old frames.

KEEP A TRAY HANDY FOR SNACKS & PICNICS
I love this old & a little bit beaten up, wood bakers tray. It is a perfect way to collect the magazines and papers that are collected in our siting room. It also doubles up as a tea tray – in or outside the house.

EXUDE A BIT OF OLD COUNTRY YARD
Leaving vintage industrial pieces in their slightly rough metal state, with only some paint left on the metal, adds a touch of vintage to a modern room. This stool or plant-stand has had the wooden top sanded back to bring back the wood. The mix of old metal and washed out wood is a lovely mix.
