ABOUT DUBUQUE ... The Spartans enter Wednesday’s contest looking for a resurgence to their season. After starting their season 8-0, Dubuque has gone 4-3 in their last seven games. Andre Norris continues to lead the Spartans’ offense this season, averaging 19.8 points per game, more than five points better than the next teammate in line. Norris will shoot from all over the floor as he is second on the team in 3-point attempts (48). On the year, Norris is 99-of-193 from the floor, good for a 51.3 shooting percentage. In the first of their two matchups, the Duhawks handed their crosstown rivals their first loss on the season, ending a 16-game winning streak. Aaron Schueller connected on 80 percent of his shots while Alex Cline and Ryan Coon chipped in 11 and 10 points respectively. While both teams recorded a similar number of fouls, Loras went to the freethrow line 28 times, converting on 23 of them, compared to Dubuque who finished 9-of-14.

After snapping the Spartan’s winning streak weeks earlier, Loras went into their house looking to complete the season sweep. The teams were neck and neck for most of the night, thanks largely in part to the play of Andre Norris of Dubuque and Nathaniel Smith of Loras.
