FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27 • CLAYTON, MO. • 7:00 PM

ABOUT FONTBONNE ...

The Griffins host the Duhawks on Friday hungry their first win since February 1. Fontbonne has lost 10 straight since topping Penn St. Altoona, 3-1 earlier this month. Fontbonne is led by their middles, junior Peter Hibbeler and sophomore Justin Rujawitz. Hibbeler is the Griffins’ most efficient hitter, carrying a team-best .330 kill percentage into Friday’s match. Rujawitz is right behind Hibbeler, owning a .298 kill percentage. Together, Hibbeler and Rujawitz are the only Griffins hitting about .138 on the year. Juniors James Stika and Dominic Prospero anchor the back row. Stika leads the Griffins in digs (94) with Prospero not far behind (78). The Duhawks will need strong play out of their middles, something that benefited them greatly this past weekend, to keep Hibbeler and Rujawitz in check.

LORAS vs MOUNT ST. JOSEPH SUNDAY, MARCH 1 • CINCINATTI, OHIO • 12:00 PM (ET)

ABOUT MOUNT ST. JOSEPH ...

Loras will face off against Mount St. Joseph two days after the Lions take on Carthage. Coming off a loss to Domincan, the Lions look to get back on track with two MCVL games over the weekend. Led by sophomore outside Alex Vohland, the Lions attack has the ability to cause opponents headaches. Vohland paces the Lions with team-best 183 kills. Boasting a .283 kill percentage, Vohland is second to junior Jake Neiheisel (.302). Bolstering the back line is sophomore libero Lyle Lehmann. Lehmann leads the Lions with 121 digs while Vohland adds 109. The Duhawks will have their work cut out for them when facing the Lions. Smart and efficient play of Loras’ attack is crucial. Loras’ ability to keep the Lions out of system with aggressive serving will also be a key to Sunday’s match.
