everything they had at goal, resulting in an abundant of scoring chances. In the 81’, senior Alexa Eggert was dribbling away from goal when she was fouled in TBA the box and the center official awarded Loras with a penalty kick. With ice in her TBA TBA veins, Truesdale stepped to the penalty spot and blasted the equalizer into the back of the net. However, the Duhawks continued to attack and give themselves a chance to win the game in regulation.

TBA TBA With 11 seconds to play, Loras earned a corner kick, which was taken by TBA freshman Alexis O’Neill. All that O’Neill wanted to do was get the ball into the box

and give the Duhawks a chance. With a low service, Truesdale was the first to get a touch, but it eventually fell to the feet of Murphy, who sent home the winner as time expired, giving Loras the 2-1 victory.

DUHAWKS KNOCK OFF PLATTEVILLE...

The Loras Women’s Soccer team returned to normal form on Wednesday, September 24 in the Rock Bowl, handing UW-Platteville at 2-nil setback to collect their first win at home this season. The game-winner came off a UW-Platteville own goal in the 9’ and junior Kat Hermanas tallied her first of the year in the 43’ to give Loras the comfortable two-goal victory. Loras had a number of chances early on in the second half, with the best coming from senior Sarah Small in the 48th. Junior Katie Truesdale made a break down the line and had space to turn and send her cross into the box. Small was right on the mark and had her shot smothered by Mandy Taylor, who came on for Rath in the second half.

CRYSTAL-CLEAR HIGH-DEFINITION...

For the fans that are unable to attend Friday’s match, they’ll be treated to a firstclass ticket to the first high-definition online stream produced by Loras College Athletics. During the offseason, thanks largely in part to an anonymous donation, the Loras College Athletic Communications Department upgraded its hardware and technology and will now provide high-definition broadcasts of its home contests all season long.
