Letting your children make their mark! Little Learners classes are brand new to North Derbyshire this year! Little Learners classes are all about getting your little ones involved in learning through play. Owner, Michelle Madders, explains “Our classes are fun, friendly and educational. Our aim is to encourage every child to make their mark and we have 4 unique characters to help children begin to recognise different marks such as: straight lines, circles and zig zags. Children are getting messy whist having fun learning & best of all, we do all the cleaning up!”. The classes are suitable
for ages 5 mths - 5 yrs & include a mix of dancing, singing, messy play, painting, scribbling and lots more! “We also offer themed messy play parties. We will work with you to tailor the party to whatever your little one is interested in and base the messy play around that. We look forward to welcoming and getting messy with you soon!” michelle@littlelearnersuk.com

La Leche League Derbyshire Friendly Breastfeeding Support from Pregnancy onwards La Leche League (LLL) is a mother-to-mother breastfeeding support charity that was started in 1956 in Illinois, USA. They now have around 6,000 accredited Leaders across 70 countries, all of whom are volunteers (who have breastfed a baby for at least 12 months and undertaken a Leader Accreditation course) working from their homes around the needs of their own families. LLL is recognized by UNICEF and WHO as a world expert in breastfeeding and is the largest women’s health organisation in the world. They have their own medical liaison Leaders and Panel of Professional Advisors whom they can ask for additional information if need be. The core of their work is their network of local mother-to-mother support groups, facilitated by LLL Leaders. The Derbyshire group has been running for over 30 years and the monthly meetings are open to all who are pregnant or breastfeeding. There is always some form of cake available, along with healthy snacks, a cuppa and a library of books covering various aspects of
pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting. Details of all LLL Derbyshire support group meetings, including occasional toddler meetings (for those who are feeding babies over 9 months & beyond) can be found on their facebook page (@lllderbyshire) which also has information and articles on all aspects of mothering and breastfeeding. Leaders can be contacted between meetings via the facebook page, on the phone (a national helpline), by email or via the national website which has a wealth of supportive, accurate and evidence based information. LLL understand that when a mother needs support it can’t wait until tomorrow. The heart of LLL’s work has always been mothering through breastfeeding and the foundation of their effectiveness has always been mother-to-mother support. So if you’re pregnant, just starting your breastfeeding journey or want to meet other breastfeeding mums, bring your bump, baby or older child to a group and feel the lllove. www.laleche.org.uk

Move with Mumma has arrived! Manda will help you become fitter & healthier the right way... The idea of Move with Mumma was born 5 yrs ago when I found myself out of shape and decided to start different workouts and group classes. I discovered that exercise can be great fun with lots of laughter involved. I loved it so much that I really wanted to spread my new-found love for fitness and haven’t looked back. As a personal trainer and fitness instructor I’ve met so many amazing ladies and I love seeing their fantastic results. Over the years of training it became apparent that there is little, and often conflicting, information out there for new mums on how to heal their bodies after child birth with exercise and nutrition. This made me want to provide a place where mums can feel comfortable with their baby, and pass on that information to help as many ladies as possible. As a postnatal specialist I can help you with pelvic floor issues, diastasis issues, c-section healing and nutrition for healing your body and getting in shape. Our Move with Mumma classes are 90 minutes long. After the fitness, we spend time bonding with baby using Baby Massage (0-6 mths) and Learn, Stretch & Play (6-18 mths).
Baby Massage is a lovely time to focus on baby and share the love, alongside some fantastic routines to help with issues such as teething and colic. In Learn, Stretch & Play we combine fun songs, baby yoga and sensory play with baby massage. So, pop along to our amazing new classes where baby is guaranteed to enjoy moving with mumma, and check out our Summer Sizzler Offer online now! I can’t wait to meet you all. Manda x
BRAND NEW CLASSES NOW IN CHESTERFIELD! At Move with Mumma, we provide a fun and friendly environment for mums to build body and mind confidence, bond and connect with their baby.
