Life Is A Theatre – Who Is In Your Front Row? The theatre is certainly a place for learning about the brevity of human glory: oh all those wonderful glittering absolutely vanished pantomime! Particularly in the theatre, where you not only have the music, but you’ve got costume, story, acting, orchestra. There’s a lot to take in. Inside this little world they had taken pains to put all the things you might think they would want to escape from — hatred, fear, tyranny, and so forth. Death was intrigued. The stage is a magic circle where only the most real things happen, a neutral territory outside the jurisdiction of Fate where stars may be crossed with impunity. All the world is a stage. Theatre is a concentrate of life as normal. Theatre is a purified version of real life, an extraction, an essence of human behaviour that is stranger and more tragic and more perfect than everything that is ordinary about me and you. ox will fix tside the b u o g in k in th rules, and rules really arding the g re is d In real life, , . m g n te s ro y w s e ly th te g free of are comple m can get that breakin % of whom m. When I was 13 years old I went to a photograph competition in Guadarrama (Madrid) and gained a 3rd place, the next year I went again to the photograph competition in Guadarrama and gained another 3rd place. At the age of 15 I got a very special gift from my mother a reflex camera (Olympus E 400). From then onwards I started to make photographs not just as a hobby but also dreaming of being a good photographer. I did not have much time for I was in college studying (my mother had promised me she would let me study photography when I finished my grade in "social cultural learning" but in my free time I continued with my hobby. In 2012 I got a 2nd post in a photography competition and in 2013 and 2014 I got two special mentions in two different photograph competirions. Also Vogue Italy has a portfolio with some of my photographs.

To me the photography is my way of escape and evasion, where I intend to express my emotions and feelings. I use the imagination trying to build images, without any technique that defines me. All I know of photography has been inspiration from the photographers and their histories. I just dream to someday be one of them.

Montague Terrace (In Blue)

©Mike Lee

I am on the subway train, holding my iPod, listening to Montague Terrace, with its graceful strings and Scott Walker’s voice intoning dark angelically through my earplugs. I reflect on the inner migration recently concluded. Listening invokes from within the memories of the unattained, the mysteries unsolved, issues left hanging, unresolved; the times of a seeming inability to close the circle, the woman who writes I am lost lost lost and there cannot be a response, the phone message at work on Monday morning informing of mutual friends dying, the moments of exhaustion in courtroom hallways, those days of walking through fields of regret, of chances missed, certitudes immediately becoming illusions in a minute, a second it seems; direction suddenly, abruptly changed, eternal loss, hearts broken, knowing yes, I am not the only snowflake in the air, but I certainly feel one with the wall paper. Listening lends an existential balance to the actuality of my life; maintaining the humble, knowing at my age, when most men settle or surrender, I take the opposing path. We are all here for a reason, I suppose. As for me, I do not seek the reason why. I just do, throwing the cards in the air, watching how they land. The doors open, and I walk through to work. Autumn in New York has arrived, with the wind picking up, driven by the skyscrapers of lower Manhattan. I stop at the corner cart for coffee, given change and napkin wrapped cup. Autoplay is on. I cannot let go. I have to. I look to the sky and say to her, who is lost lost lost: We know, don’t we and we will dream won’t we, of Montague Terrace, in blue, all in blue. Tears dried to compartmentalization, I enter my building. Doors close behind me.

Art and photography, have accompanied me since childhood. In my home country Germany, my mother took me too many art exhibitions and gallery openings. From an early age I had the opportunity to learn about different artists and art forms. Even during my school time art and design had a huge impact. My creative path was paved; I only had to commit him.

As a trained educator, was the common creativity, exploring, the curiosity, the fun and the development works of art in the center of my work.

90/91

By moving to Dubai in 2005, spurred by the rapid growth of skylines, mega towers and the construction of the world's biggest building which the Burj Khalifa, I discovered my love for architecture.

A milestone on my path was the purchase of my first digital camera. Due to the possibility 92/93

to edit digital images on the computer I arrived at the Visual Art Photography.

94/95

My way to VisualART Photography: Okay, first of all I don’t like to talk, especially about myself. I’m an observer and listener. I love to observe other Photographers work and listening to music. I guess that's why I choose Architecture as my favourite subject.

96/97

In Architecture I see beauty, elegance, pride. Different forms, angles and colours like a mirror of my soul. But capturing Architecture with my photography is just the start of my Art work – It’s like a Painter needs a canvas and colours.

98/99

My work starts now in front of the PC, to discover the beauty of a specific Photography. I ask myself; is there a Light and Shadow that wants to come out? A reflection in a Building or inside the Water, what has to be highlighted? Maybe I will use only a small part from a Building, because I want to transform it into something new?

100/101

102/103

A fascinating subject is for me the mirror effect. When you mirror Architecture you will find something new.... 100% symmetry... A new world!

104/105

I love to transfer my work into Low Key – Black and White, to show the beauty and elegance that I see in Photography, and to focus the observer’s point of view.
