The Who’s who of high school football coaches is presented by Marcus Randall.

The Who’s Who of football coaches shines a spotlight on some of the guys behind the scenes. Many times the coaches are forgotten about, however they have some of the biggest impact on the players lives and futures. Over the years, a coach may help thousands of young men achieve more in life than was expected of them. So we want to show you just six coaches this month that make a difference in kids lives everyday. These coaches have all made a huge impact in the Gridiron Football All-Star Bowl games as well as helped kids further their playing careers. These coaches live by Mathew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Each one of these men is sharing the love and compassion of God with our future leaders.
Jason McClendon
O/C Tatum High Tatum, Tx
Jason won the Gridiron Football Coach of the Year in 2018 when he turned around Lakeside High School from a 23 game loosing streak to a 7-4 record in his first year as head coach. He now serves as the offensive cordinator for Tatum high school. In 2020, coach McClendon lead the offense with 414 points scored with an 8-2 record.
Tramon Douglas
O/C Woodlawn High Baton Rouge, La
Tramon, former Grambling State standout is now the offensive cordinator for Woodlawn High School. Under his direction, he has helped turn around the 5A program to a potential power house program in 2021. He has directly helped develope future star QB in Rickie Collins. Coach Douglas’ offense ranked toward the top in 2020 in Baton Rouge.
Tyler Lewis
DB St James High Vacherie, La
Tyler is in his second year at St James. Tyler has become one of the most sought after defensive back coaches in south Louisiana. He has coached the past two years in the the Louisiana Gridiron Football All-Star Bowl Game as well as won the State 1A title in 2017 at West St John High School. His main focus is to help kids acheive their fullest potential.
Johnathan Collins
HC Magnolia School Of Excellence Shreveport, La
Johnathan is starting his second season at Magnolia this year. In his first season, he lead the team to the first playoff birth in school history. He is currently developing a “Can Do” mindset with his players and has already put one player into college with a football scholarship.
Matt Dufresne
HC DeQuincy High DeQuincy, La
Matt is entering his second season as the head coach at DeQuincy High School. Since taking over the head job, he has helped improve the culture with the Tiger football program. He is trying to develope the “Row The Boat” mentality and develope men.
Brad Ducote
HC Rosepine High Rosepine, La
Brad has been educating and motivating young men at Rosepine since the late ‘90s. In fact Brad coached the CEO of Gridiron Football during the ‘99 and ‘00 seasons. Coach Ducote has lead his team to multiple playoff births and this last year he coached 5 All-State players.
