Douglas Brooks is a Class of 2022 Defensive Tackle/Running Back for Shiner High School in Shiner, Texas. At 6’0” 265 lbs., Brooks has a unique build that allows him to play both positions at a very high level. When he is on the defensive line, the quarterback must get the ball out in a hurry or havoc will be wrecked upon the backfield. As a running back, Douglas can be seen utilizing his defensive tackle size to bulldoze through opposing defenses, as they often need more than two guys to take him down. Doug has sneaky speed that allows him to beat offensive lineman off the ball, but also to punish defenders who take a bad angle, this is shown through his 4.78 40-yard dash. He is very effective in the screen game, as many defenses believe he is just in to block. The dual position athlete is talented on the field and in the classroom as he has a 3.8 GPA.
