Amber Ray started her real estate career to become more independent, provide for her family and help her community. She originally started with a large nationwide franchise company but felt there was more out there for her. Amber quickly worked her way into the top producing agents of the companies she worked with. Amber never considered it a job but more of a calling. She feels like God has led her to do this because she has seen the impossible become possible, and many miracles happen for her clients and her agents. Amber had a larger calling. She decided to open her own business, Genesis, in January 2020 and shift her focus from just helping clients to helping clients and agents.
Seeing her agents build long-term success next to her is one of her major ambitions. Amber wants to see all her agents develop their careers and grow as people and grow spiritually. Her business has taken off. Her hard work and dedication to her clients and agents show in her success. She contributes her success to God and gives him the glory. She is ready at a moment’s notice to go above and beyond to get the deal closed. Until recently, Amber has not spent much time on marketing and has relied on word of mouth to get clients. Her willingness to give without expecting anything in return is why she is so successful. Anyone who knows her wants to work with her and even send their friends and family to her. She loves seeing people get into their dream homes or sell their homes so people can move onto the next chapter of life with ease. She often follows up with past clients with small gifts, phone calls, and even visits! She always goes out of her way to make a personal connection. Most of her clients become friends and keep close contact with her.
When Amber is not hustling to close a deal, she tries to balance spending time with her family. As a working mom, she admits it is hard to find this balance. Her family is very understanding and grateful for all the long hours worked during the week. She knows that her son respects her work ethic and hopes to leave a legacy behind him to have a great business to manage when he is ready. Owning your own business and making it grow is hard and trying. She feels that God does not put more on your shoulders than you can bear, and HE gives her the strength to weather any problem or storm that comes. If a successful business, career, fame, or fortune came easy, everyone would be wealthy and successful. However, she adds she stays true to her values, morals, and beliefs at all costs and will not waiver for any amount of money. It is all about the hustle and staying true to yourself.
Her goals for herself are to learn to delegate some things and find more balance. Work smarter, not harder. We all have things we want to work on and improve. It is crucial to recognize that and set goals. Her advice to future and current entrepreneurs is to know it will be hard work, never give up and keep pushing forward!
