Welcome to Falmouth Week 2018 Falmouth Week is a major attraction for locals and visitors alike. With its origins as a local sailing regatta dating back at least as far as 1837, the week has evolved into not only a major sailing competition in the South West but also an opportunity for sailors and landlubbers to enjoy the many daytime and evening events in the town.

The Moor 10th - 18th August

Falmouth Week on The Moor 10 - 7pm The Moor plays host to markets, showcasing artisan makers and producers in the South West. See the space transformed with outside seating, a bar, street food, market stalls and live acoustic music from some of the hottest up and coming acts in the region. So you can sit back, relax in a deckchair and soak up the sunshine.

10th - 18th August

Climbing Wall on The Moor 10 - 7pm FREE The army will be on hand with a climbing wall which is free for all to use, subject to certain requirements.

14th, 15th, 16th August

Family Art Workshops on The Moor, led by Falmouth Art Gallery 11 - 3pm FREE Drop in and join us for movement themed making activities.

10th - 19th August

RAF Red Arrows Simulator 10th - 15th August on The Moor 16th - 19th August Prince of Wales Pier 10am – 7pm Enjoy the thrills of the RAF Red Arrows display team and Tornado fighter experience of the simulator! £4 per ride.

Comic and Movie Fest Events Square 10am - 3pm FREE Featuring special celebrity guests, photo opportunities, comic book illustrators, cosplayers, competitions and so much more... “We are True Butterflies, this summer we are asking comic and movie fans to come together in aid of a new part of our charity which is called Little Wings. This is to support children and families who have suffered from domestic abuse. “ It would be great to see as many of you there as possible, to have a fun day for a worthy cause! Big kids, little kids and grown ups – come along dressed as your favourite character. Organised by and in aid of True Butterflies Foundation, this free event promises to be a great day out for comic book and movie fans of all ages!

Dragon Boat Racing Falmouth Harbour 10am onwards Dragon boating is a fun filled, adrenaline pumping, water sports activity. Teams compete in Dragon Boats, which are large canoe-like vessels fitted with ornately carved dragon’s heads and tails. Crews of up to 16 people sit in pairs and paddle to compete in multiple timed races over distances of around 250m. Each boat has a drummer beating time to keep the paddlers in unison and a professional helmsperson in the stern to guide the boat. www.dragonboatevents.com Call 07718393087 for info

Travel Information IMPORTANT Please note Tuesday 14th August the town will be extremely busy, allow extra time for travelling and use the various options of public transport. There will be delays, especially after the display so why not head into town to enjoy all that Falmouth has to offer?

Falmouth Road Closures & Parking Roads in Falmouth’s town centre will be pedestrianised on Tues 14th August from 11am to 11pm. Church Street Car Park and Custom House Quay Car Park will be closed all day. Other Car Parks open as usual. During the Red Arrows Display the seafront will be closed to traffic from 3pm.

St Mawes Ferry Additional evening service from Falmouth Prince of Wales Pier at 8.15pm, from St Mawes 8.45pm.

Bus & Trains Services will follow their usual timetables. Great Western Rail now operates a later service on the Maritime Line. The last train from Falmouth Town station is at 11.14pm.

Town Shuttle Bus 366 Townlink operates 9am to 5pm from/to Falmouth Moor, last service leaves the Moor at 4.40pm. 367 Shorelink operates 9.40am to 4.15pm from/to Falmouth Moor, last service leaves the Moor at 3.40pm.
