Usually the artwork stays for a while and then is replaced by newer creations, but one piece has stood the test of time: a homemade valentine from ourthen-5-year-old niece Lucia. lt's a sweet pink-and-red heart, and in the center is written "l love you?"-the piAce-de-r6sistance being the question mark. l'm pretty certain Lucia didn't intend to question her love for us, but the thought of that valentine in which she

Love is on Jesus' mind in the Gospel today, but it's definitely not set in the form of a question. ln fact, it's a command-"love one another." BUt even more challenging are his next words: "As I have loved you, so you also should love one another." He said it as he was about to show the depth of that love on the cross. He loved completely, self-sacrificially, pouring out the fullness of his life-no questions asked.

Think about all those we are commanded to love-those easy to love and those more difficult to love. How can we deepen that love into selfsacrifice? How can we break down our resistances and love more fully? How can we love as Jesus loved: without question? J an

SECOND COLLECTION
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops established the Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC) collection in ry7g to respond to the national and localcommunications needs of the Church. The collection is unique in that proceeds are split equally between each participating diocese and the national office. Dioceses use their share of the CCC collection to support local communications efforts such as televised Masses and diocesan newspapers. On the national level, CCC funds the development and production of a wide range of media initiatives that are carried out by USCCB staff and other grantee organizations. A portion of the CCC's national funds are also set aside for grants to aid Catholic communication efforts in developing nations. The USCCB website, along with videos, podcasts and other media resources, are made possible by the Catholic Communication Campaign. From RSS feeds of the Daily Readings from the New American Bible, to television specials seen on national networks and public service messages seen by millions of Americans, the Catholic Communication Campaign is how the Good News gets around! http:i/www.usccb.org/catholic-g iving/opportunities-for-g iving/catholic5ee: commu n ication-campaignl

Jesus brings peace, comfort and rest. How many people do
you
know today who live in fear and are so stressed out? Offer to pray for them. Give them a holy card with a prayer on it. We renew our faith. If the last time you learned about your faith was in catechism, make time to join a class or RCIA. It will bring you closer to God. If you know you should talk to others about Jesus, first ask him where he is at work. We share in the work of God when we do his will. Loving others as fesus loved us involves giving of ourselves. Invite someone to come to Mass with your family. They may surprise you and say
yes.
