The Free Rice weekend event was really

of rice. I was able to gain 15,940 grains of rice! I really love math so I just might as well practice my multiplication skills every day! This event gave me a competitive feeling. I wanted to get the most grain of rice earned, but that seems impossible. Well, I’m just happy
seeing everyone and even new people from the new term. This DCM was not as different as every other DCM, but it was still comforting as everyone was able to communicate with each other and support Katie and everyone else who had a speaking role during the event. I liked hearing different people from different

a social with the division. However, since I was busy, I couldn’t attend after. My favorite Key Club friend and Historian Teresa Nguyen, a sophomore at La Quinta High School, went to the social and told me about it. It was fun hearing about the puzzles she solved and I’m looking forward to next month’s DCM.
hours.
COLOR A SMILE SOCIAL I really enjoyed my time at the LQKC x LAKC Color A Smile Social! It was a super fun event where I got to be productive, but also relax simultaneously. The social gave me a convenient way to gain hours by just logging onto Zoom and sending out a few coloring pages I did. I was very happy knowing that I could help people who were in need of a smile. By coloring and also watching a movie while doing it, it felt very therapeutic and gave me a chance to slow down and relax. I always like LQKC’s movie choices for events as well. Watching High School Musical with LAKC this time was very nostalgic. I got a chance to meet people I had never seen before and everyone was being very welcoming in the chat. They were joking around and having fun. At the end of the social when everyone showed their coloring pages, it gave me a sense of community and togetherness. In this unsought and socially lacking time, I’m very glad I went to an event that allowed me to connect to other people. Even after the social was over, I also felt comfortable sending proof to my representative. The method of texting them makes the task feel more like texting a friend and less like an obligation. This wasn’t my first time at a Color A Smile or LQKC social and definitely won't be my last.
