OLD BU Monarch Butterfly Trail
The Monarch Butterfly Trail was such a great experience! It was so nice to relax surrounded by nature while planting plants for the habitat. There were so many people of all ages helping eachother for the same common goal which was so nice to see. This was my second time going, and I definitely wouldn't mind returning as the experience is always rewarding. Of course relaxing isn't what we were there for, so there was no shortage of physical labor that comes with gardening, but it was fun nonetheless. I was able to meet and befriend people that I wouldn't have met otherwise, and though we might never see each other again, the friendship that stemmed from the teamwork required to do such jobs was extremely rewarding. It was great exercise handling heavy tool and running back and forth constantly! This was definitely an unforgettable experience that I'd love to return to the next time there's another opportunity. - Evangeline Vo, 9
Murdy Movie Night
I volunteered at the Murdy Movie Night event several weeks ago. I had a great time and I really enjoyed helping the students. For this event, we were grouped into pairs and my partner and I helped with food orders. Our job was to make sure everyone got their snacks and drinks. I really enjoyed this event because I really liked helping the little kids and being able to interact with them. This event made me feel really nostalgic because it reminded of when I was in elementary school and would go to the movie nights. We also received our choice of either Chick-fil-a sandwiches or chicken nuggets from the event coordinators. I was really grateful for it because after standing for several hours I started getting hungry and the food was very much appreciated. This event also helped me talk to people I never would’ve talked to before. Through this event I was able to become closer with my partner and all the other volunteers. Overall, I really enjoyed this event and I hope I can attend more events like this. - Natalie Nguyen, 9

March DCM: Dive Out of the Term On March 19th, Division 4 North held its last DCM of the term, March DCM: Dive out of the Term. To start the event, multiple clubs in the division got the opportunity to sell food items to fundraise for PTP. Then, we started the DCM where we discussed club recaps and new division business. Afterwards, members got the chance to play a variety of water games such back to back water balloon race! In this game, we were seperated into teams in which pairs in each team races has race to carry a water balloon using their backs. The next few games we played were water balloon hot potato, water balloon free-for-all, and a water balloon auction in which members can pay to throw water balloons at DLT members. Overall, I think that this event was very fun because there were so many different games that members could participate in which was good considering that it was the very last DCM of this term. I also got to interact with so many different members from the division from playing these games. To conclude, this event was very unique and I would definitely encourage other members to attend the next DCM! - Teresa Nguyen, 11
Art in the Park
On March 26th, I volunteered at the Art in The Park Event to spread awareness about mental health in the Continental Regional Park. Several charitable organizations were there to educate and encourage local teens and young adults to reach out for help. The event coordinator we met was genuinely so kind and friendly. We first helped set up by arranging tables, canopies, and art materials. Afterward, we walked around the park to invite people to the site. My friends and I also had the chance to do some coloring and painting, which was quite nostalgic. Even though not many people came, it was still very thoughtful and fun. Later on, it took us a while to clean up everything since all of us struggled to close the canopies. After we finished, we were allowed to take the leftover snacks home--and I really enjoyed them. I also befriended two other key clubbers, so I would say that this opportunity was definitely worth it! Overall, I'm glad that I didn't miss out on such an invigorating, memorable event! Otterlympics
I found the Otterlympics Online Service Competition really interactive and exciting because I was able to raise money for charities by doing tasks I do on a daily basis like walking. I personally chose to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. I participated in the Track and Field event which was the Charity Miles. I thought the event went well since members were given the option to choose what they wanted to do in exchange for community service hours. I also like how members were given a week for the event because it provided more time for them to do multiple activities and try out new events they aren’t familiar with. The competition with Cypress, Pacifica, and Westminster Key Clubs was a fun addition as well since it provided more encouragement and motivation to do the activities to beat the schools. I look forward to similar events in the future and possibly more competitions because of its versatility and enthusiasm. - Mindy Nguyen, 10
VTS Royal Ascot Tea Party
An event I attended this month was the VTS Royal Ascot Tea Party. At this event, I was able to help the hosts serve food to the members of the Victorian Tea Society and help them clean up and take everything apart. I really enjoyed this event because the tasks assigned to me weren’t as physically demanding as some of the other ones I’ve done in the past. The location of this event also had nice weather and scenery, which made this event a bit relaxing. After we served the guests, we would come back after they finished eating and collect the dishes. The event coordinator also allowed us to eat the extra food they didn't use. The food was very intriguing because they were things you would only see at old English tea parties. We also did the dishes after all the guests had left. This part was the most difficult, but it was fun because some volunteers would accidentally squirt the water or splash it on the person next to them. Overall, this event was very pleasant and is one I would definitely attend again! - My Doan, 9

Division 4 North Banquet: Head in the Clouds 2022
On April 15th, I attended Division 4 North’s Head in the Clouds Banquet. The banquet took place at our local Kiwanisland Park where we celebrated our division and recognized officers and members for their hard work this past term. At this event, members got to eat a variety of foods such as different pasta dishes, mashed potatoes, and a salad. After we were all done eating, we went to the amphitheater where our IP Lieutenant Governor Katie Doan and Lieutenant Governor Lina Tran introduced themselves. After their introduction, Katie announced awards such as superlatives, executive officer awards, club awards, and much more. We also had a karaoke competition in which three teams went head to head to claim the title of “Best Singers in CNH”. I thought the karaoke was very entertaining to watch and it was fun to hear so many talented voices in our division! Overall, I had a really fun time at the banquet; a specific highlight of mine would have to be Katie’s goodbye speech because it was a very bittersweet moment and it made me realize how far our division has come since the beginning of the term. This division banquet is definitely one for the books and I would highly recommend other members to attend the next division banquet! - Teresa Nguyen, 11
Garden Grove Eggscavation
In celebration of Easter, Division Four North’s La Quinta High school Key Club EGGSTRA special time at this event. With our sister, Bolsa Grande Key Club we worked together to give children a memorable Easter time. La Quinta Key club helped with Carnival Chairs, Egg hunts and assisting staff with decorations. Though it was very time-consuming, the children’s smiles on their faces made it rewarding as well as every service event that Key Clubbers attend. The garden Grove Eggscavation took place at Atlantis Play Center on April 16th from 12:15-5 PM. Personally, this was one of my favorite events. This was one of the events where, as Key Clubbers, we had to cooperate and work together and it was prevalent in the Carnival Games. Everyone had their own job and we all had to communicate with each other to give children a memory they won’t forget. I was really able to get out of my comfort zone and was able to socialize with other key clubs members during the Carnival games. The joy of children as they play our games and win candy made time fly faster. The Carnival games were really rewarding, but during the Egg Hunt it was of an independent project. Having time and focusing on ourselves was needed and as we were hiding the eggs was really enjoyable. Thinking about good spots to hide the eggs as well as watching them find our eggs was really fun. To me, it was one of my favorite moments as I’ve done Egg Hunts in the past and the nostalgia that emerge was immense. The end, this event was a success. Not only working with fellow La Quinta Key clubbers but as well as Bolsa Grande’s Keyclubbers and the staff was really entertaining. We got to let out childish emotions as we helped facilitate games, Egg Hunts, and helped with staff. Having children smile put smiles on all our faces and it was really enjoyable. The staff was incredibly kind and not only gave us pointers but acknowledged us. They provided snacks as well as water and overall the event was really fun. - Aaron Tran, 9
