Ladies and Gentlemen, This year’s Conference brings us back to The Ritz-Carlton in the heart of Toronto. The city offers cultural excitement and culinary diversity. This year’s Companion Program will get you moving, bring you to a moment of reflection and later, get you grooving to Motown tunes.

We are excited to have you enjoy a Bollywood dance class that will get our gender neutral audience sweating and spinning to the dance beats of Bollywood songs. We have Puja Amin, the founder and director of Sanskriti Arts Dance and Fitness Studio to demonstrate how to move our hips, hands and feet to some catchy tunes.

This will be followed by a yoga class lead by Janet Stringer, an experienced yogi, where you can slow down the pace and take the opportunity to exercise a moment of gratitude and peace. Please bring your own mats to this event.

Bollywood Dance Class

Plan to attend and witness a Bollywood dance session infused with a core busting and calorie burning workout to help you work up a sweat and tone your muscles while learning simple dance movements that you can bust out the next time you hit the dance floor! Toronto-based dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Puja Amin, established Sanskriti Arts in Toronto in 2003, bringing together students with a passion for dance and extreme drive to explore their potential. Bollycore is just one of the many programs Sanskriti Arts offers at its various locations around the GTA. This program is designed specifically to stimulate muscle development, core strengthening and increase cardiovascular endurance. Whether you’ve been dancing all your life or never moved a limb before, this workshop will make you sweat, make you smile, and make your stress dance away! So get up and get ready to shake it Desi style. Introducing the electric Puja Amin from Sanskriti Arts!

Hatha Yoga

Please bring your own yoga mat if you plan to participate in this program.

Janet Stringer, Certified Yogi Janet Stringer started practicing Hatha yoga at the age of 29 when she was pregnant with her first child. She fell in love with yoga and meditation immediately and after a few years of dedicated practice, decided she was ready to learn to teach yoga to others. She is a certified Hatha yoga instructor and has been teaching yoga since 2008. She enjoys coming together with a community of people to breathe, stretch, move and connect. She is very excited about this session and looks forward to working with you.
