Launch of Indigenous & Cost-effective Blood Cell Counter

LAUNCH OF MISPA COUNT X: INDIGENOUS & COST-EFFECTIVE BLOOD CELL COUNTER

In partnership with L&T Technology Services, diagnostics reagents and equipment manufacturer Agappe Diagnostics earlier this month launched Mispa Count X, India’s first indigenously developed blood cell counter.

Despite massive strides in the field of healthcare, basic healthcare facility is still a distant dream for many in India. This is due to the lack of necessary infrastructure, high cost of delivering medical benefits and low-income level of more than half the population. While early diagnosis of diseases is critical for implementation of preventive measures, labs in rural areas are not well-equipped to conduct such tests.

To make affordable healthcare accessible to a larger population, Agappe decided to build a low-cost haematology device - with the aim to reduce the cost of blood analysis without compromising on accuracy.

With a rich expertise in creating cutting-edge medical devices for developing markets, LTTS became Agappe’s R&D partner of choice to design and develop this innovative haematology test device.
