The crisis in Venezuelan society

From the period of colonization started a phenomenon in our continent that drives us to think about the factors that have influenced it, this is the crisis. The crisis on the continent has its beginnings to the arrival of Europeans , since the crossing of cultures created a whirlwind within Aboriginal society of our land. The customs on both sides of the Atlantic were diametrically opposed starting with the social organization , economy and religion among others. The arrival of the Spaniards caused a stir in our ancestors because they wanted to change their habits , so as to mold to your needs all that was done in our land. The social organization were forced to adapt to which they were accustomed , in the economy very different model had no idea what they wanted and the religious were forced to follow a doctrine which he had no faith . This was fracturing customs and Aboriginal culture at the time, with the consequence that resentment has affected our development as a society to this day. If we yield to the timeline , you will notice that this forced adaptation aroused a feeling of rebellion in these situations because they did not respect the social divisions that exist in our country and also imposed as the authority figure at the same time . The social awakening that occurred in the nineteenth century in our continent , shook our dreams of freedom and independence growth and in turn led us to a social transformation that allowed us to observe our shortcomings , rights and needs. Venezuela , which is no exception in this situation, is experiencing a profound spiritual crisis , the root cause of other ills that are mentioned daily and which are simply consequences and symptoms of the real disease : Lack of ethics. It is in short, this crisis of ethics , morals and values which inevitably generates " social products " such as: drugs, corruption , proliferation of the game, the worship of money , overflowing propaganda sex and violence, the easy , hedonism and irresponsibility as new pests , erode the social fabric impeding healthy development that the collective body of the country is entitled to make . No doubt the real origin of these evils must be in the deterioration of the family institution , also in the gradual deterioration of the education system where success

The promotion of culture , science and art must mark the channeling process of human improvement through the paths of excellence. One symptom of more serious social imbalance that affects us is the rapid increase in crime . The demonstration effect of easy and rampant enrichment ( through speculation , corruption, gambling , theft of public funds ) , and the exaltation of unbridled consumption of goods and services by superfluous propaganda disturb young minds and encourage them to search by way of assault , robbery and stealing what they can not find through normal channels and own effort. Trafficking and consumption of drugs (dangerously widespread in recent times ) are a powerful factor in crime. But we do not refer only to the common criminals , but also the so-called "white collar " soft hand, concealed , which addresses public affairs and is often manifested in fraud to the state , collecting kickbacks , influence peddling , coercion remunerated fixing premiums , among other practices , which are almost never punished. This requires a strong front and fight. We know it is not easy but not impossible task . "The principles of sound economics were wrong in recent years . This economic crisis is, above all , an ethical disaster. " Michel Camdessus ( Baiona , 1993), head of the International Monetary Fund ( IMF) for thirteen years , made this reflection. The Christian Social Thought , which had its main development during the twentieth century , summarizes the reflections that the Church has elaborated on the relationship of the individual to society and social justice at a time when industrialization generated two conflicting systems as as socialism and capitalism. The recent economic history shows that the crisis of the world is trying out a " seven-headed monster " that happened as Hercules , will only fight if just once with its seven branches: the crisis global poverty , climate change , the crisis of multilateralism , food , energy , financial and cultural . " Given these words Camdessus, we emphasize that we are being manipulated by governments and interests unethical , to form part of an elaborate plan in which we have no say about our moral decisions and we are only placed in the giant chess board to play a role , give our consumption by economic power who " choose " as a product. Greed is at the heart of man , change the paradigm , so it is necessary to find a common ethical code to build a new global society . The pillars of this code are present in most of the great religions and go through the sense of responsibility and solidarity while these pillars are disseminated through education can impart values . The challenges of education in the twenty-first century have led to educational institutions to explore different ways to educate an individual holistically. That's why , today there is much talk of values education and there are varied and valuable suggestions . The word ethics comes from the Greek ethos which interestingly indicates no rules or regulations, but character , and character is determined by how well you understand how to live , so we understand it as the habit of living in line with our thinking . The thinking is greatly related to the character, it is forged main marily through example . The great thinkers used this way of teaching and Socrates taught Plato and Aristotle it . You could say that we look like the people we surround ourselves with , not what they say but by what they see you do. It has been proposed for many years, that professional ethics is best understood from the example of the teacher learns . In our profession , this exercise would be conducted through a humanistic way to provide knowledge, and thus, the future professional learns to respect the human value of his office, by example of the learning facilitator . However, ethics courses , when available, are generally not extend beyond vocational training at the undergraduate level . And while a lot of teachers are prominent and exemplary members of their social group , both in his professional and personal life and do their work with integrity and thoughtful way , would take hardly any ethics course . Perhaps what is required is a forum for discussion rather than a formal presentation of how we should act , a space to talk openly, where we can confirm to ourselves that professional education should not be limited to one good person, and that the fact of not lying or stealing makes us "good" . We must be clear that it should not matter our religious trend, political or ideological to fulfill our role in society , which is to educate people to serve in the area they have chosen this way to fulfill their role in the environment found .


The important thing is that we have to be sincere that the only way to achieve a radical change in our society through education in values. This will trigger a new crisis but this time will be a function of social change that shakes all the bad that is encrypted in our environment, but to achieve the change we need to have the will to change our personal interests and focus on what collective as a giant computer, is not an easy task, but it is not impossible as expressed above. Change is in our hands and with tools and layout can make a difference .
