Maserati introduces its first Fuoriserie Essentials, a refined collection of cars curated by select tastemakers and friends of the Trident. The first collection has been designed by style pioneer and global brand ambassador David Beckham, aiming to inspire car lovers to express their own bespoke vision of the ultimate Italian luxury sports car.
Inspired by his fascination for Maserati classic cars and conceived as an extension of his Savile Row sartorial wardrobe, David Beckham designed his Fuoriserie DB Essentials collection with two distinctive car configurations that express his contemporary re-interpretation on some of the Trident’s most timeless icons.
Captivated by the 1967 classy Maserati Ghibli coupé, Beckham selected a ‘Night Interaction’ blue for the exteriors of his first DB Essentials matching it with a tan shade for the leather interiors. For his second configuration, he paid tribute to the 1986 Maserati Quattroporte Royale, only produced in 51 units, and chose an exterior paint of a ‘Verde Royale’ (dark green) hue with warm brown leather upholstery inside. An exclusive metal plate celebrating the collaboration between Maserati and David Beckham is applied to the central tunnel between the front seats or between the two headrests.
“Fuoriserie means ‘custom-built’ in Italian, and our Trident’s customization program is conceived to create singular experiences for our clients. Our wish here is for them to express their personality and passion by creating their very own Maserati. Just like David, everyone can choose from a wide range of personalization features from our Fuoriserie Corse collection, inspired by Maserati’s glorious racing heritage, and from our Fuoriserie Futura collection, dedicated to lovers of technology and new materials,” said Klaus Busse, Head of Design of Maserati.

Here Comes The Sun…
By Steven RosenfeldHow you can keep your skin healthy during the seasonal exposure to the damaging rays of the sun.
As the intense summer sun appears once again, our skin experiences challenges to its very health. Exposure to excessive heat and humidity throughout the day can cause your skin to develop rashes, inflammation, itchy burns, and even acne conditions can flair up. Therefore, it is essential that you prepare your summer sun care strategy wisely in order to avoid unwanted summer skin issues.
When the weather gets warmer and humidity increases in the environment, your skin’s sebaceous glands start producing natural oils. These oils remain on the surface of the skin, leading to stickiness, grease and blocked pores.
Acne breakouts are a common problem that occurs in summer. People with oily skin are more prone to it as the bacteria and oils in the skin mix with the sweat causing clogged pores and acne. When your skin is exposed to the powerful UV rays, melanin production increases in order to protect your skin from sun damage. Melanin has photoprotective qualities, and excess melanin results in darker, tanned skin. In addition, uncomfortable conditions including itchy skin, prickly heat, sunburn and rash due to sensitivity to the sun can occur.
So, how do you best care for your skin during the summer? Well, let’s see. Here is a basic list of things to be aware of at all times, but especially during the summer months.
1. Be sure to cleanse your face regularly. In summer, oily skin usually becomes even oilier. Therefore there is a greater need to gently wash your face with a cleanser that is designed for your skin type. You want to be able to cleanse and remove all the dirt and grime. I suggest using a mild, alcohol-free pH balanced cleanser.
2. Maintain a consistent daily skincare routine and stick with it . Choosing products that are created to balance the skin microbiome such as Columbia’s Probiotic Concentrate and Probiotic Complex and used as recommended will deliver help restore, protect, and beautify your skin. Adding moisturizer as often as needed throughout the day will help to keep your skin looking and feeling fresh. Columbia’s Restorative Hydrating Cream is made for this purpose.
3. Don’t leave home without your sunscreen. The sun’s UV-A and UV-B rays can be very harsh. Besides giving you a stubborn tan, they can cause premature aging, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. A good sunscreen with SPF 40-50 is vital for the summer months for all skin types, even if you stay indoors most of the time. If you go swimming, I urge you to re-apply sunscreen after exiting the water.
4. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. In case you missed the second part of #2 on the list. A moisturizer is vital to protect your skin in summer. You should choose a non-greasy formula. Keep an eye out for ingredients that include antioxidants like vitamins A and C, along with botanicals. It is a good idea to apply a moisturizer immediately after bathing.
5. Don’t forget to protect your eyes, lips and feet! Always wear sunglasses to protect the eyes from the sun’s harmful rays. Use a moisturizer such as Columbia’s Restorative Hydrating Cream under your eye, and lip balm under your lipstick. Scrub your feet to exfoliate. Apply sunscreen and moisturizer on your feet too, especially if you are wearing open-toed sandals.
6. Drink plenty of water and low sugar fruit juices throughout the day. Your water intake in summer should exceed what you would consume during the other times of the year. Coconut water, watermelons, and fresh juices are a good way to stay hydrated. Drinking water also helps to flush the toxins from the body. Include yogurt in your diet.
7. Wear breathable and sun treated clothing. Linen and cotton are the best fabrics to wear during summer. Wear light and loose clothing. Avoid tight fitting garments in synthetic fabrics. These can increase your discomfort and make you sweat more, which in turn makes the skin itchy and can lead to infections.
In conclusion, entering into the heat from air-conditioned surroundings and vice versa, excessive exposure to the sunlight, swimming to stay cool and the humidity can adversely affect your skin. The good news is you can restore your skin’s natural balance, elasticity, and brilliancy, by using Columbia Skincare’s microbiome friendly skincare products. Taking good care of your skin has more benefits than you can ever imagine. So, follow a regular skincare routine, eat healthy, and resort to simple yet effective suggestions to achieve glowing skin.
Have a beautifully healthy summer.

In Conversation with Dr. Ian White Leader in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Processes
By Susan KimeDr. Ian White is the leading expert in the field of aging and regenerative medicine, with 20 years of experience working with stem cells, regenerative cells, and tissue regeneration.
He received his BS and MS from Liverpool University, England, prior to being hired at Dartmouth College to study the genetics of gamete biology. From there Dr. White was recruited to Harvard University to work with hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) and immune cell biology where he co-authored several high-impact peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts on the subject. Dr. White went on to receive his Ph.D. from the Ansary Stem Cell Institute, the Division of Regenerative Medicine at Cornell University.
Dr. White currently sits as the CEO and CSO of Neobiosis, LLC a perinatal regenerative tissue research and manufacturing CDMO facility and serves as the vice president and member of the board of directors of The American College of Regenerative Medicine. Dr. White is the founder of the Space-Aging Research Institute (SARI.)
We are grateful for the opportunity to be in conversation with Dr. White, as he answers questions about the present and future of conceptually and practically balancing human wellness with anti-aging techniques.
LuxLifestyle: From your website, we note you are working on developing regenerative treatments derived from afterbirth, like the placenta and umbilical cord, which have been historically thought to be medical waste products. What is it that you see in these products that others have not seen in terms of improving human wellness and longevity?
Dr. White: For over 20 years, I have studied how the body protects itself from pathogens, then repairs itself following injury. The most critical thing I’ve discovered is that nature is smarter than we are. Every minute, each day, we are fighting infections, repairing, and replacing cells within our bodies. In fact, we lose over 100 million cells (primarily from the intestine and skin) every minute we are alive. Those cells must be replaced continuously otherwise, we’d die.
What’s fascinating, is that this cellular repair ability rapidly decreases as we age. When we’re very young, we have an almost limitless ability to replace cells and heal injuries, but by the time we are middle aged, we become less able as we begin experiencing symptoms, then cell degeneration: (wrinkles, gray hair, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, dementia, etc.) But nature has provided clues on how to “hack” our system, so we may disconnect biological aging (how old your cells are) from chronological aging (how many birthdays you’ve experienced.)
LuxLifestyle: What inspired your work and how is the research and development going?
Dr White: About a decade ago, scientists discovered that if an old mouse were to share the blood of a young mouse, many of the measurable signs of aging could be reversed. This process is called Heterochronic Parabiosis. Nature provides a natural form of thispregnancy. An older individual (mother) shares a blood supply with a younger individual (baby.) The baby benefits from the nutrition from the mother and the mother benefits from the growth factors and signals from the baby. It’s critical that the baby modulates the mother’s immune system, so it does not get rejected and it’s critical
the mother is at peak possible health to cope with the rigors of pregnancy and childbirth.
As it turns out, we’re able to harvest these signals and use them to help promote immune modulation and tissue repair in unrelated adults.
LuxLifestyle: What anti-aging technologies have been generated from this kind of research?
Dr White: We have been studying birth tissues (afterbirth) for many years and due to that research, we have developed several products derived from purified amniotic fluid and the umbilical cord.
We have documented and published remarkable advances in tissue repair when these products are used in experiments and in humans. Our products contain signals and building blocks (like hyaluronic acid – often found in many “anti-aging” cosmetics) made by the baby but designed by nature to optimize pregnancy. We’re able now to purify birth tissues and provide safe and effective products that may be used by adults of every skin type. What’s interesting is that it appears all cells, tissues, and organs in the adult body can benefit from these supportive products.
LuxLifestyle: How do you see the future – both immediate and distant – in terms of regenerative potential becoming the reality of anti-aging?
Dr. White: The body knows how to heal, it just progressively “forgets” as we get older. We can replenish the signals and raw
materials the body needs, by providing purified perinatal tissues. The body can utilize these tissues to promote robust healing when other standard of care medicine doesn’t work, or is too expensive.
In the short-term, we focus heavily on cosmetic products (LiliumTM), which med spas may provide in support of other treatments and procedures. But beyond these, we work diligently with regulators to advance clinical products that could one day revolutionize medicine. These products exist now, we need to generate safety and efficacy data at Neobiosis.
LuxLifestyle: Finally, we cannot help but think of one of your theoretical ancestors, Ponce De Leon. 500 or so years before you, but in Florida, he was in pursuit of what he called the ‘fountain of youth.’ Do you think truly that some types of youth prescriptions and proscriptions are inevitable, or like Mr. De Leon, frustratingly out of human reach?
Dr. White: Well, unlike the old Conquistador, we know there are many earthly species who can stop their own aging processes and can regrow limbs and organs. Ask a Hydra or Mexican Salamander! Nature is very smart and all we must do – both now and in the future – is to listen to nature, and we will soon be able to develop similar processes. We are working on this now, with the inevitable future step to reverse human aging. I have bet my career on this potentiality, not a distant possibility now. With the work we do now and will soon be doing, the future is bright at Neobiosis, so stay tuned!
The Power of Food The Power of the Summer Solstice
by Marci MoreauDear Marci,
Living in the Northeast, my favorite season is summer. I find I feel physically and emotionally stronger and much happier. I know this is because food grown in the summer sun is better for us, but what exactly makes it healthier?
Summer Foodie FanIt’s true, summer in the Northeast is a powerful time. What’s not to love about long sunny days, warm ocean breezes and vibrant hues of vegetation. It’s a beautiful time of year but there is so much more going on here than just a pretty face. In a synchronized dance of nature, the summer solstice, tilts the earth closer to the sun, and for the Northern Hemisphere, we have longer days, shorter nights, and yes, thanks to the summer sun, we also have much healthier food.
The healthier food part is really a collaboration. More sunlight, results in more chlorophyll being produced, and, in turn, photosynthesis increases, producing more oxygen for the air, and healthier, more nutrient dense plants. The true genius of Mother Nature shines through at this time as she infuses the intense heat of the summer sun, with the longer duration of sunlight hours, to create a higher concentration of phytochemicals, the healthy components in plants, that help us prevent disease, repair inflammation, and improve our mental health.
The foods we eat that grow in this magical summer sun deliver maximum health benefits, and also because of this powerful summer heat, plant growth is more abundant, resulting in a plethora of seasonal and locally produced food options, harvested at the peak of their ripeness.
And even better, much like the sun is absorbed into plants, sunlight exposure on our skin stimulates Vitamin D production
in our bodies, helping with calcium absorption, bone health and giving us a much stronger immune system. And for what I like to call Nature’s pièce de ré·sis·tance, the powerful summer sun warms our bodies, nudging our brains to produce more dopamine and serotonin, ultimately delivering a platform for better mental health.
My father was the first person to teach me the value of fresh summer foods. Every time we would visit a local farmstead in the summer, he would pick the ripest tomato, take a bite, and tell me, “The only way to eat a tomato is when it is just picked off the summer vine.”
Turns out he was right. Eating seasonal foods just harvested results in food that not only taste better but that is more nutrient dense. The nutritional value of produce begins to decline the minute it is plucked from the vine, and when foods are grown out of season, they often have to be transported long distance, which can lead to a significant loss of nutrients.
Simply put, the freshest seasonal foods, provide our bodies, and our minds, with the most protective, health enhancing elements, and yes, these foods are much, much healthier.
So do you body and mind a favor. Follow the sun, pick up the ripest summer tomato you can find, take a bite, and then bring home a bunch more to make my father’s favorite summer tomato salad.
RONNIE’S NATIVE TOMATO SALAD
This salad was a summer staple when I was growing up, on our table almost every night, especially in August. The local, native grown tomatoes peak in flavor and nutrition during this time, especially in the Northeast. And if you have a great bakery in the neighborhood, grab some warm homemade bread and dip it in the juice!
• 4 large Native tomatoes, sliced in wedges
• 1 red onion, sliced thin
• 1 cucumber, sliced
• 3 cloves garlic, crushed
• 1 Italian long hot pepper, sliced into rings
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• 3 TBS red wine vinegar
• sea salt and pepper to taste
• crushed red pepper flakes, optional
In a large salad bowl mix all the ingredients. Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to infuse and intensify flavors. Serve with your favorite crusty bread to dip in the juice and enjoy!
From Hustle to Health
THROUGH HER 10-STEP METHOD, THE FORMER CORPORATE ADVERTISER TURNED HOLISTIC WELLNESS COACH LEADS CLIENTS THROUGH A TAILORED, TRANSFORMATIVE JOURNEY BACK TO THE BASICS.
By Katelyn RuttAAccording to Sarah Wragge, holistic nutritionist and founder of Sarah Wragge Wellness and the SWW Method, her biggest health crisis turned into her greatest career.
Wragge spent most of her teens and into her 30’s never feeling well. After struggling with a slew of symptoms like acid reflux, chronic constipation, and inflammation, she turned to a holistic
practitioner and nutritionist. She was diagnosed with Candida and put on a regimen for acupuncture, herbs, and tinctures.
“After the first cleanse, I realized the power of food and nutrition and what happens when you eat in an anti-inflammatory way,” Wragge says. “I immediately went and applied for the Integrated Institute of Nutrition (IIN) to try to understand more. I became obsessed.”
She began to notice that her hair was growing, she was leaning out, doubling her sales at work, and had so much energy that she struggled to sleep at night.
“My whole life got better when I started to understand the power of nutrition,” Wragge says. “It was a complete domino effect in every other area of my life. If I felt so terrible for most of my young life, I wondered, ‘How bad do most people feel out there?”
Steak dinners with clients and after-hours at bars began to morph into green juices, corporate fitness classes, and juice cleanses as client gifts. Every moment she wasn’t working, Wragge was reading about food, writing nutrition protocols through her schooling at IIN, or undergoing wellness treatments like colonic hydrotherapy or sauna therapy.
“It was just a side hustle for me until I got pregnant,” Wragge says. “Also, when you’re carrying a baby, your truth becomes pretty clear and I couldn’t ignore the voices anymore. I started posting about my health journey on Instagram, and one day someone asked if I was taking clients. I had no idea what I was about to embark on.”
Wragge’s first official client lost 30 pounds using her written nutrition plan. In 2016, Wragge decided to leave the corporate world—and hasn’t looked back since.
“I’m not usually a risk taker,” Wragge says. “I just remember listening to a podcast and the woman said, ‘If you want to know what your purpose is, you need to look at what you’re doing when you’re not doing what you think you should be doing.’ I just knew I was going to do this and do it really well. It lights me up and it’s
like breathing for me. It almost feels like I’ve done it in another life.”
Wragge’s holistic wellness brand encompasses the full scope of nutrition, from cleanses to family, bridal, and corporate lifestyle programs, plus so much more.
Her leading program, the SWW Method, cuts through the noise, simplifies the science, and meets clients wherever they are on their health journeys. Wragge and her team of registered dietitians and clinical nutritionists provide weekly modules, exclusive nutrition videos, recipes, pantry swaps, and video and email check-ins for accountability. By the end of the experience, clients will have learned how to burn fat, minimize cravings, stay full all day, and eat for endless energy.
“I love the challenge of taking someone’s current regime and routine that isn’t working and helping them pivot and create a new reality,” Wragge says. “We have so much control over the end game.”
At Sarah Wragge Wellness, it’s all about making life changes. Instead of providing quick fixes, Wragge and her team focus on education, which leads to the empowerment to make better wellness choices and behavioral changes that last a lifetime.
“Helping people is addictive,” Wragge says. “Watching people transform is the most rewarding thing you could ever experience.”
The SWW Method begins every quarter. Wragge’s next program starts October 3, 2023 and registration closes September 25. Sign up at www.sarahwragge.com/products/the-sww-method.
TWO TIPS FROM SARAH
DRINK WATER
“We are 60 percent water and lose a liter of water through breath every evening. In the morning, do a full body flush with a liter of water before coffee.”
STOP SNACKING
We do not need to eat food every two hours. Instead, eat a blood sugar-balancing meal that allows you to coast three to four hours between meals. That meal should be protein forward with a combination of healthy fats and fiber-rich vegetables.”
Dr. Ken Winnard OneLife Health & Performance
By Margaret Bastick LuceWith a focus on Lifestyle and Preventative Medicine, Dr. Ken Winnard brings his cutting-edge protocols to Jupiter and the surrounding South Florida communities. Dr. Winnard believes that by starting with extensive lab work, specialty testing, and ongoing monitoring, he can fully serve each patient throughout the lifecycle of care. No matter where you are in this lifecycle: An exhausted parent, an overworked executive, or a professional athlete, you will be thankful that you prioritize your health and engage in a level of care that will keep you well.
“I was trained in internal medicine, traditionally hospital medicine, and then ICU care. But I found that in the hospital, I felt like I was unable to help people regain their health. There were a lot of patients who were already pretty sick. There wasn’t a ton of opportunity there for education and to really make a change as far as helping people prevent disease,” shares Dr. Winnard. Dr. Ken is a former athlete, and as such can truly relate to his patients, whether you are a professional golfer striving to elevate your level of play under the demands of performance stress or a community member and parent challenged to handle daily pressures.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” regimen, dosing, or plan at OneLife Health & Performance. Dr. Winnard shared with me, “We see all kinds of patients. We have patients who are parents who say, ‘This has helped me tremendously to understand my health and learn to live a healthy lifestyle. I want my 17- or 18- year old to have this knowledge so they can go off to college with it.’ And we also have patients who are in their sixties, seventies, and eighties who may have chronic diseases or may just want to remain healthy; they know that they can come here and learn how to take care of themselves. We also have patients who are referred by local physicians and cardiologists in the area, and other people who are suffering from chronic disease and have been unable to get it under control. We help with all those parts.” In my first visit and conversation, I was able to understand the doctor’s commitment to each and every patient.
One of the most challenging aspects of staying healthy at an individual level is knowing where to turn for education and guidance before a significant health event occurs. “Almost 70% to 80% of the population has some underlying insulin resistance, so it’s important to emphasize metabolic health and help people understand nutrition and lifestyle
and the importance of exercise and hydration and all those things. If we go through our twenties, thirties, and forties and ignore all that, that disease process pops up in our forties, fifties, and sixties. If we take care of ourselves, those things are preventable,” says Ken Winnard, MD. We can’t possibly understand the complexity of our systems alone, seeking help, particularly when it comes to our health, is not a weakness, it is imperative.
We are living in a unique time where so much innovation and technological advances are available to doctors and their patients. Of course, we call it practicing medicine because that is what we do, especially in light of the individual nature of each person. Through learning, and having access to cutting-edge information and modalities, we can provide our patients with top-level care. Dr. Ken explains. “We offer some amazing modalities that haven’t been available in the past and still aren’t typically available in the traditional American medicinal setting. We incorporate specialized intravenous (IV) therapies, amino
acid therapies, vitamin and peptide therapies, hormone balancing and optimization treatments, and more into our patients’ care plans. These tools can help restore or even enhance the body’s metabolic and healing properties to give patients an edge to help find that new baseline of health, no matter where they are in their health journey.”
Having experienced first-hand the impact of being under the weather, I was thankful to discover my community offered such incredible resources. Being treated at a bio-individualized level is a stark contrast to the sick care model found in general medicine. Dr. Winnard and his skilled team at OneLife Health & Performance can help me whether I am in their office or in another state through their telemedicine offering. This is invaluable because we learn that illness does not know our location and having access to care no matter where we are is comforting and imperative to maintaining a state of health and well-being. I encourage you to prioritize your health, you and those who care about you will be grateful.
The End of Aging: Longevity Experts Unlock the Secret with an All-In-One Solution
Rebesana offers a groundbreaking approach to improving aging and promoting a healthier and more active life. By targeting the root causes of aging, stimulating cellular regeneration, maintaining the immune system, preserving muscle mass, and promoting cognitive function, Rebesana works to decelerate aging targeting all molecular pathways identified today: three longevity gene pathways, telomeres, glucose metabolism and antioxidants.
Dr. Carl Giordano has devoted his life's work to understanding and unlocking the key to healthy aging. Applying his years of research to creating Rebesana, he is now putting longevity within reach for anyone.
SO WHAT CAUSES AGING?
Aging is a series of small cellular errors that our body encounters. These errors accumulate over time and lead to cells losing their identity. As cellular identity is lost, our cells, tissues and organs are unable to maintain themselves and our bodies age. When this occurs, our bodies are less efficient at repairing themselves, leading to issues like loss of energy, impaired immune system, and organ function.
The mission of Rebesana is simple: maintain cellular identity, and guide our cells back to peak performance to slow and even reverse the effects of aging across all body systems—skin, hair, heart, brain, lung, muscle, tendons, joints, and even blood glucose.
REVOLUTIONIZING AGING
With Rebesana, aging becomes a journey of continued growth, well-being, and fulfillment, enabling individuals to enjoy their golden years to the fullest. Encouraging cellular renewal helps add years to your life and life to your years.
Don't just take our word for it. Hear from Gabe Hjertstedt, a two-time PGA winner and professional golfer. "I started Rebesana several months ago and noticed a difference in my energy level. More importantly, as a professional golfer, I no longer need anti-inflammatories. I competed in The Senior Open Championship in 2022 at Gleneagles, and I hope to compete professionally in golf for as long as possible."

Island Inspired
KIAWAH IS THE IDEAL BACKDROP FOR THE DESIGNER’S LATEST PROJECT.
By Katelyn RuttCrisp whites, striking blacks, and warming woods and wovens blend seamlessly to create organic perfection—an aesthetic the name ‘Lisa Sherry Interieurs’ is synonymous with on the East Coast and beyond. The inspiration behind the designer’s newest undertaking: The pristine landscape of Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
“Summer, sunshine, wind, and surf are the inspiration for this home,” Principal Creative Director Lisa Sherry says, “Kiawah Island is a magical place. This home feels like part of the flora and fauna of the area.”
Sherry’s ties to the location began years ago with her purchase of a house on a nearby barrier island, just off the coast of North Carolina. Even though she no longer owns the home, Sherry says the opportunity to work with Kiawah Island clients felt “like a bit of a homecoming” for her.
“It faces a wide expanse of waving marshlands,” Sherry says. “As a designer and a creative person, I am drawn to water. I know and love the atmosphere. For me, it’s oxygen.”
Unlike many of the interior designers of conventional Atlantic Coast beach homes, Sherry—true to her nature—opted for a more natural design path. Sunwashed woods fill the space, with pops of neutrals to create modern elegance. Soft patterns and textures are placed strategically to lead the eye through the main living, cooking, and dining spaces to the open air decks, screened-in porch, pool, and swaying marsh trees beyond.
“My clients sought me out for this fresh approach, especially the embrace of a neutral palette, organic elements, and a certain free-flowing fluidity, the casual sophistication,” Sherry says. “I look to Nature for inspiration, and She never makes mistakes.”
For the designer, functionality and aesthetics always coexist without the need for compromise. Sherry says the design style, while slightly unusual for the area, felt second-nature to both her and the picturesque landscape of Kiawah Island.
“While this home is refreshing and happily uncommon for the area, everything works in harmony with the natural world,” Sherry says. “Every detail. In a very real sense, this home and my style feel more authentic and indigenous.”
No matter her client, inspiring relaxation is an unwavering goal for Sherry. These specific homeowners, busy professionals with houses in the U.S. and Europe, called for an especially tranquil environment.
“When they come to Kiawah, I want them to feel at home and agenda-less,” Sherry says. “Like a big exhale. Regardless of locale, being at home should feel natural, effortless, easy, and beautiful, regardless of the pin drop.”

BACKGROUNDS DON’T FADE TO BACKGROUND
“All the backgrounds—flooring, wall color, and hardscapes (like stone, tile, and hardware) are all chosen with care as a single, although wonderfully diverse, foundational environment. This creates an essential harmony.”
A NEUTRAL PALETTE IS LIKE A PEACE SIGN
“Warm or cool tones of white, beige, gray and black, flesh tones, and hues borrowed from nature are calming and restorative. The absence of strong color is invigorating.”
TIPS FROM THE DESIGNER
TEXTURE IS THE NEW COLOR
“The texture in this space is very intentional. In this home, texture is expressed in natural fibers, weaves, and layers; tactile surfaces, found objects, reclaimed wood, stones, and metals. Smooth is even a texture. I use texture rather than bold and divergent colors to add personality to a space. It’s dynamic. And subtle.”
EMBRACE ALL THE SENSES
“In my world, a successful design plan embraces all the senses, pleasing to the eye and the hand with sight, sound, and scent touchpoints. What we take in through our senses, we give back to family, friends, ourselves, and ultimately the world. I can feel the ebb and flow in this beach house. I know my clients do too.”

Bethenny Frankel A Memorable Voice in The Babbling Digital Landscape
By Susan KimeThe word ‘influencer’ is relatively new in our 21st century vocabulary – even those born in the 1970’s must be often educated as to what influencers influence, and the answer is, a lot. Influencers are a consequence of our digital age – they entertain and educate about new products and functions of those products, shaping trends and influencing industries. If they are celebrities beforehand, then becoming internet entrepreneurs, they are often called celepreneurs.
In general, most are born in the 2000’s, new to the world of digital marketing, and certainly new to influencer marketing, but is now an often-babbling dimension of our talkative digital landscape. This topography has become an often-lucrative profession, especially within social media. The few who opened and led the field, had,
and still have strong, truth-telling personalities, often with wicked senses of humor. One of the early influencers who has remained successful so much so that she could be considered a luminary – is Bethenny Frankel – She continues to lead the field. She talks quickly, ideas morphing into clear opinions about almost everything. Her marketing and financial expertise is manifold in multiple fields. People listen when she speaks.
Her celebrity platform began years ago, with The Real Housewives of New York City. She has moved beyond this, though it gave her a springboard into the collective consciousness of many. In a recent conversation, we admitted, “Don’t hold it against us that we never saw The Real Housewives,” to which Bethenny immediately replied, “Don’t hold it against me that I was on that show.”
Such unexpected, candid honesty, combining both wit and irony, is both text and subtext in her digital landscape. Her TikTok and Instagram testing programs, where she tests make up, lipstick and skin care products have become needful watching if the viewer wants to see a person experience and immediately comment on their efficacy and worth. There, she is brutally honest about the use and cost of many things, both luxury and mid-level. An example on a recent Instagram: she shows the viewers a $5,000 handbag she believes is badly made and overpriced. In other episodes, she discusses drugstore brand cosmetics that, she believes, are often better than expensive ones, and comments on quality and lack thereof, of moderately priced shoes, clothes, and luggage. Her education of the social media public combines what to look for, and, what to look OUT for when buying these things. Her podcast’s tag line is, "If you can't handle the truth, you can't handle this podcast." So true.
Her voice, no matter whether she is on TV – or on social media – is, to us, needful, educational, refreshing, and often attitude-changing. “What bothers me,” she exclaimed recently, “is that many drug store brands of makeup are as good as the more expensive brands. But people don’t know that, or if they do, they still buy expensive brands. With luxury, the public often pay for the brand design, not for the quality of the product itself.” A needful, cold shower method of looking at product design vs product essence. We will remember this.
We also remember that she is the founder and CEO of Skinnygirl, a brand that seemed to be, like the movie, everything, everywhere all at once. Skinnygirl partnered with Beam Suntory in 2011, to include wines, flavored vodkas, and ready-to-drink cocktails. Since the launch of Skinnygirl cocktails, and after selling a part of her brand to Beam Suntory, she expanded the Skinnygirl brand into a global lifestyle empire, that now includes, as of 2018, a Jeanswear collection, which sold out in hours on HSN – and further, into food – microwave popcorn, candy, salad dressings, coffee, tea, liquid sweeteners, water enhancers, shapewear, and most recently candles, skin, and body care.
She also is an investor in a new line of youthful mocktails
called Mingle. This company rides the crest of alcohol-free cocktails and has fascinating nomenclature in the product line: Mimosas, Cranberry Cosmos, Cucumber Melon Mojitos, Key Lime Margaritas, Blackberry Hibiscus Bellini’s, Blood Orange Elderflowers. She has also tried some of them and gives unadulterated opinions on her Instagram and TikTok feeds.
But the voice behind all of this, not selling exactly, but explaining opinions, and educating the public as to why her opinions have relevance is Bethenny herself – a memorable identity on her podcast, her Instagram, and TikTok. She is often a co-host of the Today show, she is the author of ten books, has had her own TV show, and seems at times, a human primum mobile, a visual, vocal, always moving sphere –a combination of celebrity, educator, social media influencer, and now, most recently, a libations marketer of her new wine brand, Forever Young, a rosé wine whose birthplace is in Provence, France at the Chateau Roubine vineyard. This is one of the few vineyards whose roots go back to the 14th century, as it was one of the only 18 properties of the Order of the Templar in France. And only one of 18 vineyards that produce this Forever Young Cru Classe Rosé.
Because of the vineyard’s classic east/west orientation, its clay-limestone soil, and good drainage, the Chateau has created great wines since the 1300’s. Now, with the expansion of the vineyard, Bethenny teamed with the owner of the Chateau, Valerie Rousselle, to create the new brand. This Provençal Rosé joins other international and national Forever Young wines – a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, a Central Coast (California) Cab Sauvignon, and an Argentine Malbec.
This marketing challenge – combining message with memorability – might be complex to others, but it is not new to Bethenny, as she started out, over a decade ago marketing her Skinnygirl cocktails and Margaritas. In a recent Wine Spectator interview, she said, “Skinnygirl was a brand that I developed more than a decade ago as a young woman on a budget with fewer responsibilities and a different taste level. Forever Young is a more sophisticated wine for a person who really cares and knows the difference. This is the next level.” As is she.
Where Flowers Bloom
By Kelli Delaney KotIsland Time Farm, a regenerative flower and tomato farm, is nestled between the two forks of Long Island on Shelter Island. Owners Kelci and Chris share, "We focus on creating healthy soil that grows healthy plants and people! Soon our fields will be bursting with beautiful blooms and mouthwatering tomatoes for summer.” The life partners met in 2015 in New Orleans and bonded over a shared
love of plants. In New Orleans, Chris had an homestead with a vegetable garden, fruit trees, and a flock of chickens, ducks, and geese. Kelci worked at an urban farm, helped run a greenhouse for a landscaping company, and grew a flower garden. "Wanting to feel a deeper connection with nature and the people around us, we decided to set our roots in Chris's hometown of Shelter Island in 2017," says Kelci.
"We grew our first garden together that season. That love of growing bloomed into a dream of farming. That fall, we took over Jay and Marge Card's decades-old farm on Shelter Island. We whacked away all the invasive mugwort and goldenrod by hand. The following spring, Jay Card, Jr. gave the field its final till on his father's old Ford tractor and we began sowing vegetables and flowers. We reopened the farm stand on the property and joined the Havens Farmers Market on Shelter Island. Chris also took on the role of Market Manager."
Kelci adds, "In 2019, we started Shelter Island's first Flower CSA, offering weekly pick up of our most spectacular flowers! Since then, we have expanded to do custom floral design for home delivery and events, on-farm flower harvesting and design experiences, and we can also bring the flower design experience to you with a custom Bloom
Bar." This summer, the Island Time Farm team will be treating LUX guests to a gorgeous flower arranging bloom bar at the home of editor, Kelli Delaney Kot (founder of KDHamptons).
Chris adds, "As the farm took off, we began to miss the more intimate experience of gardening. We started Island Time Gardens to bring beauty and abundance to our neighbors on the East End. We create lush gardens full of decadent blooms and delicious vegetables. At Island Time Farm, we believe our practices should improve, rather than sustain, the quality of our soil and the life around the farm. We believe in Regenerative Agriculture. We are a No-Till farm that creates healthy soils through nurturing the biology in soil with lots of
compost, mulch, and cover crops. Our farm is about one acre, with half an acre growing crops and a significant portion going to making compost. With over 30 varieties of gorgeous flowers, our farm is an oasis for pollinators and other important creatures." shares Chris. LUX looks forward to watching this wonderful farm continue to grow, and we congratulate them on being awarded the HOTTEST FLOWER FARM of 2023.

A Legend of the Seas
By Katelyn RuttSet under the balmy, lemon-speckled cliffs of Sorrento, the Fratelli Aprea story is the definition of legendary. From serving as trusted vessels for fishermen soaring through Mediterranean waters to special mission staples during World War II, Fratelli Aprea’s “Gozzo Sorrentino’’ boat is as adaptable as the seas it has commanded for more than 130 years.
The dreamer behind the now six-generation heirloom product: Cataldo Aprea. As the family’s first master shipwright operating in the original shipyard of Marina Grande—a coastal port dotted with colorful homes and fishing nets hung to dry—Aprea
began what would become an internationally-acclaimed brand with a caliber of artistry that places it in a league of its own.
Since its inception in 1890, the family-run company has masterfully balanced Italian tradition with an openness to reinvention. Thanks to Michael Sinacola, CEO of the USA division of Fratelli Aprea, the brand expanded in 2021 to bring a luxurious Italian yachting experience stateside. Well-accustomed to the needs and desires of yachting culture, Sinacola knew Fratelli Aprea had both the craftsmanship and legacy to reimagine its purpose and enter the yachting industry.
The boat builder offers seven unique USA models, from its smaller 25’ and 26’ cruising boats built for speed to 32’, 36’, and 50’ semi-cabinatto, hard top models providing sumptuous comfort for living and dining. Each boat features a semi-displacement hull along with gleaming mahogany, polished teak, Italian fabrics, and other thoughtful touches to envelop guests in a sensory yachting experience.
Fratelli Aprea boasts a fully custom footprint with artisanal elements hand-chosen to suit each of its unique buyers —plus the option for add-ons to assist with the mobility and accessibility requirements of certain clients. Carefully handcrafted in Italy, each model arrives in the States with construction and
design that exceeds USA standards of construction, component selection, and compliance.
More than a century after its inception, the name “Fratelli Aprea” is just as revered by yacht aficionados as it is by seamen, and the company’s international acclaim is a testament to its high level of expertise and authenticity. Shaped by the Mediterranean waters of its homeland, Fratelli Aprea transports guests back in time—wherever in the world they may be. This summer transport yourself to the Mediterranean with a bespoke experience aboard the Fratelli Aprea. Available in the Hamptons and Greenwich Ct. Text Michael for availability 313-908-3818.
The Hottest Hamptons Private Event Venue: Maison 371
By Nicole VawterThe Hamptons are known for our stunning beaches, fabulous resorts, luxurious estates, and vibrant social scene. Boasting pristine stretches of award winning beaches, the region is a retreat for power players, celebrities, and influential individuals. From June to August, over a quarter of a million people descend on a stretch of land less than 50 miles long and ending in Montauk, which is aptly called "The End." Between $200M homes for sale and $500,000 summer homes to rent, the Hamptons is one of the most exclusive destinations in the country. So can you find a Hamptons home to call yours for a special moment in your life? LUX magazine introduces you to the Hottest Hamptons Private Event Venue: MAISON 371.
Tucked into a private cul-de-sac between East Hampton and Sag Harbor, this luxury estate can be yours for a wedding destination, corporate event location, commercial shoot or fabulous family vacation. With a heated pool, sunken tennis court and idyllic atmosphere, MAISON 371’s expansive gardens and manicured lawns offer a variety of on-site activities. Relax by the fire pits and the outdoor bar or float in the pool while embracing French country elegance with the most modern amenities.
The creative brain (and hands) behind the stunning home is Norman Spier, who shares that he drew his inspiration straight from the countryside of France. Spier recalls living with a French family as a young boy in a small town only a few hours outside of Paris. Ever since then he dreamt of building his own chalet in the Hamptons. “Believe it or not, even watching Emily in Paris inspired me,” Spier says. “I always imagined having beautiful, unforgettable dinner parties in my
gardens and I knew that MAISON 371 was the property to create my dreamscape.”
With more plant species than one can count and a handmade babbling brook, MAISON 371 is a true Hamptons oasis that allows you to escape from the bustling crowd of vacationers. The estate is home to specimen plants, including: Enoki Cypress, Lavender bushes, Japanese Snowballs, Crepe Myrtle trees and of course...plenty of Hydrangeas. Spier reveals a secret that runs amongst the exclusive Hamptons’ gardening community, “It’s said that if you play classical music around your plants, they are supposed to grow almost five times as well.” Not only are MAISON 371’s gardens impeccably classy but they are sustainable too. Last summer, Spier went to a demolition estate sale of a multi-million dollar home where they were selling every plant and tree on the property. After keenly recognizing some very rare varieties, he commandeered a team to dig them up and replant them at MAISON 371.
Every detail on the property has been carefully thought out down to the subtle details such as the Slim Aarons artwork in the outdoor shower. “I had these photos transferred onto a metal canvas so that they could hang in the outdoor shower,” says Spier. His attention to detail is notable throughout including the custom made patio furniture, a transportive Zen Garden and a cedar pergola carved by Spier himself make this luxury estate a MUST see.
The beauty carries on within MAISON 371. The home accommodates up to 14 people with five bedrooms and five baths. It boasts 10 flat screen TVs, WiFi, Sonos speakers throughout the property, a full gym, as well as billiards and ping pong on the lower level. The upper great
lawn area is perfect for intimate weddings and corporate events, whereas the front lawn can be utilized as a unique spot for croquet or yoga. Activities don’t have to end when the sun goes down, as dramatic night lights sprinkle throughout the property adding to the ambiance. Pop the champagne and cozy up next to one of the two fire pits with your playlist on in the background.
Just minutes from East Hampton Township, Sag Harbor and the area’s finest beaches, shopping and dining, MAISON 371 is ideally located. Its gardens and luxurious amenities are waiting for you, your family or your next unforgettable event. For more information visit MAISON 371.
Born To Ride, Seasoned to Sell
HARNESSING HER NICHE EQUESTRIAN ROOTS AND CONNECTIONS WITHIN THE ELITE SPORT, HIGH-END REALTOR KATHLEEN GANNON HAS HER SIGHTS SET ON SELLING FROM LAND TO SEA.
By Angela Caraway-CarltonGrowing up in Metairie, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans, Kathleen Gannon recalls being in diapers the first time she rode a horse. “I never wanted to get off, I always wanted to be riding,” Gannon says. “It’s the way they smell and the beautiful energy that they emit. Horses are like poetry in motion.” By the time she was 15, her polo-passionate family moved to the posh equestrian enclave of Wellington, Florida, further fostering Gannon’s love of riding. She immersed herself in playing polo and show jumping, even training with Olympic riders. Watching her father Tim Gannon, who famously founded Outback Steakhouse, win numerous U.S. Open Polo championships, and constantly being surrounded by horses at home, planted a future dream in Gannon’s heart: “I always knew that I wanted my own farm one day with horses in my backyard, and I was willing to work for it,” she says.
After graduating from the University of Miami, the horse enthusiast continued to compete and even won the Women’s World Cup Polo in 2009. But after suffering from back injuries, Gannon took an extensive break from riding, eventually starting a boutique specialty real estate company in Wellington that’s aptly named Fleur-De-Lis International Realty, a nod to her Louisiana roots. While her valuable equestrian experience and knowledge of living in horse country gives her an extra edge in selling real estate, Gannon continues to expand throughout Florida and has listings from the Hamptons to the Bahamas. She’s also tapped into another exclusive market that often intermingles with the affluent horse world: yacht-style living.
The day I speak with Gannon, she’s just returned from Monaco, where she’s a global brand ambassador — meaning she’s tasked with marketing and selling — for the uber-luxe residential superyacht Njord that’s set to debut in 2026. Exclusively catering to adventurers and avid travelers, the superyacht flaunts 117 private residences ranging in price from $8.5 to $70-million and makes it possible for residents to easily reach coveted locales around the globe while living in opulence. Along with bespoke interiors fashioned by renowned
designers, rich amenities range from private helicopters and jets to an onboard partnership with Chenot, a lauded spa from Switzerland that’s known for its revolutionary approach to wellness and antiaging. Onboard experiences will be tailored to its residents that already include athletes, tech magnates, race car drivers, and horse owners. For instance: they could have rare access to a Formula 1 race car simulator as well tutelage from a professional driver, or mingle with a high-profile polo player like Nacho Figueras. “It’s a once-in-alifetime experience. Everyone has been blown away by the idea,” says Gannon, who’s equally impressed with the eco-conscious yacht’s green practices and devotion to giving back to science.
Following the recent loss of her husband, adversity is further pushing the female entrepreneur to add more international listings to her already impressive portfolio, with plans to open a Monaco office. The tragedy has even reignited her love of riding. Her days are now a high-paced mixture of high-end home showings and working with her trainer, along with playing polo for fun and regular show jumping competitions. She’s also part of The Cherie Group who owns Fleur-De-Lis Cherie, a prized mare that’s won several Grand Prix with rider Jad Dana. Gannon feels that when she succeeds, so does everyone around her. “I really pride myself on working hard to make dreams come true for people, whether that’s finding my clients the perfect farm or home or helping Jad Dana and our horse reach the Olympics.”

Y.CHROMA APPAREL INVITES GEN-X MEN TO ABANDON THE UNIFORM AND TAP INTO THEIR SKATE AND SURF PAST WITH FAMILIAR FAVORITES—THOUGHTFULLY ELEVATED—AND FIVE CITY-INSPIRED COLOR PALETTES.
By Katelyn RuttTo the successful entrepreneur, Lisbon local, and founder and creative director of Y.Chroma Apparel, midlife isn’t just an age—it’s an opportunity.
“Midlife is your main act,” Max Israel says. “You’ve lived half a century of the most remarkable story. It’s not about reinvention, but about invention and deciding how you want to dress as the main character for the next, best phase of your life. Y.Chroma Apparel promises to help men feel ready for this moment in time and stand out with confidence.”
Through his carefully curated wardrobe system, Israel offers something for everyone, from classics like the structured button-down and do-it-all pant in a range of earthy hues, to the reimagined skater overshirt jacket.
“Many men grab a blazer off the back of their office chair, because maybe they’re going to a work event and don’t know what else to wear,” Israel says. “With this design, I was inspired by Seattle grunge culture where you wear a plaid button-down over a t-shirt. This jacket is a more agile, flattering, and cool alternative to that blazer and allows for much more personality.”
The entire collection is designed to provide a simplified get-ready process with looks that consistently match and flatter – Israel calls this the “Y.Chroma Wardrobe System.” Each of Israel’s pieces are inspired by Lisbon’s craftsmanship and the city’s surf and skate
culture and constructed with luxury European textiles and materials from around the world. At the core of Israel’s design ethos: Color.
“Color equals vitality,” Israel says. “Many men are afraid to wear color, and frankly don’t know how. As you hit midlife, you feel youth slipping away, and you want to push back against that. Color is an important tool, and we chose these specific colors to last the lifetime of the brand.”
The designer recalls attending a tech conference years ago and noticing that the majority of the men in the room were wearing the exact same clothes in shades of grays and blues.
“The most common color in the world of fashion for men is gray. You come up identifying as part of skate and surf, culture, and then something horrible happens—you get a job,” Israel jokes. “There’s a lot of pressure to conform and look respectable and credible, but what happens is you find yourself in line for coffee, in the office, or at a conference, and realize every guy around you is wearing the exact same thing.”
As an avid suit-wearer pre-pandemic, Israel decided to reinvent his look after selling his tech company to pursue his clothing aspirations. The entrepreneur, a 20-year fashion hobbyist and 15-year suit designer, says that despite his time in the industry he was “shocked” and “appalled” at how difficult the process was when it came to manufacturing the perfect fit.
“Most patterns that people use to make jeans and pants are modeled after an 18-year-old body,” Israel says. “We tore apart the old patterns and started from the beginning. Our goal was to redesign the pant in ways that flatter the body that men have today through thoughtful tailoring. At this point in our lives we know when something fits right and Y.Chroma is that perfect fit.”
Israel defines his obsession with fashion as “religious,” a zeal that was further intensified when he realized how underserved the Gen-X demographic is in the world of fashion.
“It’s one thing to have a great brand, but another to have a teaching brand,” Israel says. “My goal is to show ‘why’ our looks have a predictable outcome every time, so that morning stress in front of the closet is replaced by a ‘wow’ moment instead of a predictably boring one.”
As for what keeps the inspiration flowing? It’s all about the stories Israel receives from the enthusiastic and loyal wearers of Y.Chroma Apparel.
“The messages that resonate with me the most are the ones where a man is able to reclaim his sense of self,” Israel says. “Where he can appreciate the act of getting dressed as something that makes him feel better and able to approach life with confidence,” Israel says. “That’s why I do what I do.”

Meet the first lady of women’s luxury golf wear: Dara Tomanovich
By Joanne SpataroDara Tomanovich was ready for a new challenge after a successful 30-year career as a model and actor. Her new role: Entrepreneur. Her upcoming women’s luxury golf brand, Devon Halsey, is changing the game in active lifestyle wear where high fashion meets functionality. Her impeccable taste in colors, cuts, plus knowing what women really want, has led the way.
“If I was going to build the first women’s luxury golf brand, I wanted it to be the standard [and style] of Chanel, but not the prices of Chanel,” says Dara.
Her motivation to create the line came during her first golf outing with her partner. While she enjoyed the sport, Dara didn’t see many comfortably dressed, fashion-forward women on the course – or similarly stylish outfits in the gift shop either. She was inspired to create her own line to encourage more women to take up the sport. As a model who grew up around perfectly dressed parents – and her clothes-making mother – Dara knew she could design beautiful golf attire for women of all different sizes.
To ensure the level of quality she envisioned, Dara took on the role of designer, stylist, and business leader. She tapped her connections in the modeling and fashion world, and listened to her internal guide for how to craft each piece. Her “fashion meets tech” focus took her to Munich and other cities to source her sustainably made fabrics.
“My whole thing was to do a monochromatic look,” she says. “Monochromatic, to me, is an effortless way for women to dress chic.”
Dara’s attention to specific colors upped the ante on the line’s high fashion quotient.
“I want to share a hipper version of the quality of Hermes products for women’s golf,” she says. “I want conservative lines. I’m inspired by the fashion colors of the moment.”
Some of those colors include her blue, inspired by a Cartier sapphire gem, bright white like liquid paper, jet black, green and raspberry beaujolais inspired by her favorite Bottega Venetta items, and lavender like a beautiful Valentino gown and pink like a classic Chanel suit.
The finished line is a testament to her attention to detail. Her hero driver jacket can unzip into four different pieces: A hooded jacket, a bolero, a vest, which all, in their entirety, neatly fold into their own
signature crossbody bag. The line also includes the perfect moto jacket, the ideal polo shirt, luxurious jogger, active bike short, and her own invention of the ultimate white, light skinny pant and the first ever stylishly utilitarian belt for women in golf.
Whether you wear your Devon Halsey look on morning errands, the golf course, pickleball course, tennis court, and then to lunch, Dara has you covered.
“[When my partner] asks me to go golf, I'm gonna put on my Devon Halsey,” she says. “I'm gonna walk out the door, and I'm gonna play better. And we're gonna have a great day together. Isn't it about all that?”

Worthy of Wander
WHETHER IT’S JET-SETTING WITH YOUR PET, YACHT-HOPPING, OR A QUICK WEEKEND JAUNT BY CAR, DESIGNER KIMBERLY PUCCI DEFINES YOUR WANDERLUST LIFESTYLE.
By Angela Caraway-CarltonCatch her if you can. Always on the move, Kimberly Pucci zigzags across the globe, shifting from cars to yachts and ferries and planes — sometimes in one day. The luxury lifestyle designer has built her eponymous brand Kimberly Pucci Atelier + Vault around easing the challenges that come with travel. “With every bag comes a new adventure, but at the same time, it needs to be able to withstand the downfalls of travel. That could be a bag with comfy straps that doesn’t dig into your shoulders or one that easily fits your mode of transportation,” Pucci says. “I want to simplify the experience with luxury accessories that make sense.”
Though her primary home is in Newport, Rhode Island, where her flagship atelier is based, Pucci regularly visits Florence where she honed her craft along the Ponte Vecchio for 25 years and now has a second home. Relying on her strong relationships with Tuscany’s finest leather artisans, her luxury goods boast New England sensibility yet embody Europe’s heirloom quality that stand the test of time. Her best sellers are a large duffel bag meant for a weekend getaway, to a metallic clutch that takes you from the airport to a night out, to a wine tote for vineyard or boat days.
Pucci’s bags are fashioned with buttery-soft leather for comfort and have pliable forms that are meant to fit anywhere, whether stashed under the seat of a plane or thrown on a yacht. Every detail
is customizable, including the color, stitching, hardware, as well as the handles and straps. The designer’s superpower is color, offering 250 colorways as well as customizing hues with her Tuscan tannery to match a client’s specific needs. “My signature color is Arancia orange, which reminds me of the fiery sunsets that I see from my villa in Tuscany,” Pucci says.
Her latest collections are inspired by summering in Italy in the 1960s and the sweet, ‘la dolce vita’ lifestyle. The Amalfi collection showcases an aqua color that evokes the wide-striped umbrellas that dot the beaches of Portofino, a prominent summer-white, a metallic navy that resembles the glistening sun hitting the Mediterranean around noon, and subtle splashes of turquoise. Pucci’s gender-neutral Cortona collection brags a trio of colors that include a rich chestnut brown, deep cream, and her signature bright orange. “When I see the Cortona collection, I think of men outside a bar on a hot summer day drinking a Campari on ice and smoking a cigar,” she says, adding that the collection features oversized bags, dopp kits, belts and more.
Pucci is now hyper-focused on catering to her clients’ lifestyles. “That could look like traveling by private air with your dog, to carrying a surfboard that matches your weekend bag to the Hamptons. It’s a celebration of how we’re living,” she says. That includes the release of the Frankie collection, a line of pet accessories named after her late father and her golden retriever. With an increase in pet travel,
especially on private planes, owners can coordinate their dog’s collars, leashes, waste bag holders and other accessories. For her pop-up at this summer’s Holiday House in the Hamptons, a non-profit designer showhouse, Pucci created The Art of Leisure Reimagined collection that will elevate any beach party. “It includes my first-ever surfboard bag, oversized rattan chairs with signature KP cushions in raffia and leather, a hand-painted corn hole toss with leather bean bags, and a leather travel trunk for champagne and bites.”
But it’s the moments when Pucci brings out the black velvet trays displaying her custom jewelry shining with precious and semi-precious stones and exquisite diamonds that eyes pop. With access to the world’s most prestigious artisans and diamond sources, she can create everything from standout necklaces to cocktail
rings. Her Vault collection now stars handwoven bangle bracelets and necklaces in metallic leather that are finished in 18-karat gold. “The long-tasseled necklace can even be worn as a belt,” she advises.
This fall, Pucci will walk the runway of New York Fashion Week in Manhattan — one of only a few accessories designers to do so — and soon, clients can find her collections at high-end stores around the globe, as well as online and at her flagship boutique.
“This brand has inevitably evolved into the ultimate culmination of everything I love from traveling to entertaining and spending time enjoying my passions,” she says.
“Taking time to enjoy the journey while creating new experiences and memories is the inspiration behind the brand.” kimberlypucci.com
ESCAPE
Dreaming of Africa
By Ashley TheisEmbarking on a safari adventure is an extraordinary experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes and awe-inspiring wildlife of Africa. There is nothing like waking up before the sun, grabbing a cup of coffee and venturing out into the bush. Seeing the beauty of these animals in their natural habitat is an experience travelers will never forget.
Once you go, you will want to return over and over again. This isn’t the type of trip where you try
and pack in as many countries as possible. This is an experience not a checklist. With Africa you need to slow it down, relax and experience it.
So how do you choose? Which destination do you start with? When should you go? There are so many options and decisions that go into creating a truly memorable African safari experience as a luxury travel advisor, my job is to guide you through what is the best option for you that will give you the memorable experience you are hoping for.
WHERE TO GO?
The most popular destinations for a true safari experience are Botswana, Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania. Think through a list of what animals are priority for you, what types of experiences you want to have whether that be an up close encounter with a gorilla or a chance to spot each of the big five and that will help narrow down where to start.
If you are interested in Gorilla trekking, Uganda and Rwanda are the best countries to visit.
When looking for a bit of everything Africa offers. South Africa is perfect for travelers who want to experience Safari, city and culture, adventure, winelands and beach.
For the classic safari experience with the highest chance of animal encounters, countries like Botswana and Tanzania are great countries to start with.
WHEN TO GO?
Once you have narrowed down the destinations in Africa you want to explore that will help in deciding what time of year is best.
For Botswana, September and October tend to be best for optimal animal viewing as these are the months with lowest rainfall. South Africa is perfect April through September when the season is driest and animals gather around watering holes for a mid afternoon cool off.
If the Great Migration is on your list, you’ll want to explore the Serengeti in Tanzania from November to July and Kenya’s Masai Mara from August to October.
WHERE TO STAY?
From luxurious lodges to rustic tented camps, safari accommodations offer a range of choices, each providing a unique and unforgettable experience.
For a truly luxurious experience, luxury lodges offer the best in comfort and style in the heart of the wilderness. You can expect a stand alone villa or suite with a private terrace or plunge pool. Most have exceptional service and amenities like spas and fine dining options. Luxury lodges provide a perfect blend of nature and refined luxury, allowing guests to unwind in
style while immersing themselves in the wonders of the safari.
Tented camps are for those seeking an authentic experience without compromising comfort and amenities. They provide the thrill of sleeping under canvas with modern amenities. Tents often include spacious, beautifully furnished bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. Tented camps allow visitors to feel closer to the wildlife and the sounds of the bush, creating an unforgettable connection with the natural surroundings.
One thing to consider is whether your lodge is a part of a national park or a private conservatory. Private conservatories often provide the most exclusive type of safari experience as well as being a more sustainable and animal friendly option. They typically have stricter rules on the treatment of animals within the conservatory. Only vehicles belonging to the lodges within the conservatory are allowed to drive on the land, which means you won’t be watching a pride of lions sleep while surrounded by 50 other vehicles.
Each traveler has their own vision for what they want a Safari experience to be. It is important for you to work closely with a travel advisor that can really help you navigate all the ins and outs of a trip like this. As a luxury travel advisor, my goal is to curate a personalized safari experience for my clients that helps alleviate overwhelm and create a truly once in a lifetime experience.

Walking up Fifth Avenue to the hotel is a reminder of the iconic hotels that line this prestigious stretch. TASTE
A New Tequila in Town
THIS BAR CART BEAUTY ENTERS THE SCENE WITH MEXICAN HERITAGE, SMOOTH FLAVOR, AND PLENTY OF SOUL.
By Katelyn RuttAs a ‘Chopped’ winner, Mexican-Jewish chef, and restaurateur, Dafna Mizrahi is no stranger to the beauty found in the world of the culinary arts.
“I fell in love with the hospitality industry at a very young age,” Curamia CEO and Co-Founder Mizrahi says. “For me, the kitchen was my canvas. It was the place in which I could find myself being creative and giving others joy.”
After winning ‘Chopped’ in 2015, Mizrahi was propelled into the public eye with TV features and name recognition—an opportunity the chef says was the catalyst to her decision to explore a venture in tequila.
“I think every influence and every decision we make follows our path and shapes our future,” Mizrahi says. “The hospitality industry has so many routes and so many arms. You can be creative and have a lot of influence. It’s about taking every opportunity, making the most of it, and always staying true to who I am and the mark I want to leave behind.”
Curamia, meaning “my cure,” represents Mizrahi’s goal to stand out and distinguish her tequila from a sea of mediocre, distilled spirits. The brand, designed by Mizrahi and Co-Founder and Director of Sales Melissa Del Savio to be a “cure for the ordinary,” features a genre-bending, wellness-driven, and lifestyle focus.
“As an immigrant, it has always been important to showcase my beautiful culture in the most authentic way,” Mizrahi says. “And what’s better than through our spirit?”
The chef recalls questioning why Mexico was never showcased as beautifully as she remembers experiencing it in her formative years. Most people, Mizrahi says, associate the popular alcoholic beverage with the faces of Hollywood. But to the chef, tequila belongs to Mexico.
“As a Mexican, it is important to create a product that is the highest quality, free of additives, and at the most authentic and accessible price point,” Mizrahi says. “This is so that not only a certain demographic is able to enjoy what my country has to offer.”
The Curamia story begins in the rich fields of Jalisco, Mexico with sustainability at the forefront. At the foot of the Tequila Waterfall, natural spring water absorbs a host of minerals from the nutrient-rich volcanic soil. The tequila is harmonized with the mineral-laden spring water through a proprietary process for a soft, herbal finish.
Each bottle of Curamia tequila is distilled using a unique water-steaming process, which extracts more sugar from each agave plant and creates a cleaner taste—with a smaller carbon footprint to boot.
The result? Four unique tequilas, sustainably created and free of additives, without compromising any of the authentic Jalisco flavor. The brand’s flagship spirit, Tequila Blanco, is presented with transparent and silver hues, floral and citrus notes, and sun-ripened flavors
“Curamia, like I say ‘is my cure is our cure,’” Mizrahi says. “It is the catalyst to us regaining what belongs to us Mexicans in the most beautiful way. Sharing our story has been amazing and we will continue to do so, as we strive to always support and encourage other founders, especially those who are women.”

ElysabethVineyards
THIS SUN-BATHED, MID-HUDSON VALLEY ESTATE EXUDES THE BEAUTY OF WINE-MAKING.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Millbrook, Elysabeth Vineyards has produced family-owned legacy and unparalleled grape varietals since 2013. Named after their daughter Lizzy, the boutique vineyard is part of acreage originally set aside by Neil and Mindy Grossman—an excess of their large estate.
The landscape, lush with towering pines, oaks, and maples, is the perfect setting for the intricate network of vines that produce world-class wines each season. Each grape is carefully monitored and tested for peak maturity, a process that can be extremely unpredictable depending on weather conditions like intense sunshine or untimely frost.
The Grossman family, who are proprietors of the vineyard and natives to the Millbrook area, understand the fluctuating conditions of the area and allow the weather to determine the distinct flavors and number of cases produced each season. Because of this technique, Elysabeth Vineyards is able to create a quality of wine that is comparable to that of famed wine regions around the world and showcase its expertise on the cultivating, processing, and bottling of unique vintages.
Each wine label features a split background of black and white with gold lettering. The label depicts the elegance of the vineyard by sunlight and the starry grandeur of its grounds at dusk.
For connoisseurs who enjoy a cool, rich, and aromatic Pinot Noir, Elysabeth Vineyards offers an ideal blend with raspberry, cherry, currant, and spices. The vineyard’s Cabernet Franc swirls notes of blueberry and coffee for a refreshing, caffeine-charged depth and robustness. Filled with sweet smoothness, the Meritage is a Bordeux-style wine that is unique to the region. It is best paired with lamb, game, and stronger cheeses.
The Alsatian Blend—a vineyard staple—bursts with honeysuckle and refreshing acidity for the perfect summer sip, while the Chardonnay provides a medium body flavor with a hint of oak and touches of melon and citrus.

Ferrari Roma SpiderA New Story Begins
This timelessly elegant, high-performance car is a contemporary take on the chic, pleasure-seeking Italian lifestyle of the 1950s and 60s. This spider carries over the proportions, volumes and specifications of the Ferrari Roma’s hugely successful V8 2+ concept, but what makes it so striking is the adoption of a soft top, a solution making a welcome return to the Prancing Horse range on a front-engined car 54 years after the 1969 365 GTS4.
There’s a novel and modern take on the soft-top design that underlines the Ferrari Roma Spider’s exuberant character, with extensive personalization options that include sophisticated, bespoke fabrics and contrasting stitching. On a functional level, the soft top deploys in just 13.5 seconds and can be actioned at up to 60 km/h. The fact that it is so compact also yields a larger boot and boosts the car’s versatility. A new, patented wind deflector integrated into the backrest of the rear bench can be deployed by a button on the central tunnel, guaranteeing exceptional in-car occupant comfort without taking up any space in the car.
The Ferrari Roma Spider retains the Ferrari Roma’s excellent dynamic characteristics: it boasts a best- in-class weight/power ratio thanks not only to its soft top, but also to its all-aluminium chassis and 620 cv V8 from the engine family that was heralded as the International Engine of the Year on four consecutive occasions. The engine is coupled with Ferrari’s universally-acclaimed 8-speed DCT known for its incredibly fast shift times as well as excellent standards of comfort and mechanical efficiency.
The Ferrari Roma Spider is not just rewardingly easy to drive, it is also extremely dynamic and responsive: this makes it the perfect companion on out-of-town weekends and longer journeys alike. Always, of course, with the exhilarating Ferrari V8 soundtrack playing in the background.
A number of features are designed to make this car superbly versatile, including a category-topping boot size which includes a hatch via the rear seat backrests to allow larger items to be carried, and standard wireless connectivity by Android Auto® and Apple CarPlay® Wi-Fi. Not forgetting, of course, 18-way-adjustable heated ergonomic seats that are also available with an optional neck warmer for colder days. www.ferrari.com

ROWE PLASTIC SURGERY IN WATERMILL FOR SUMMER COSMETIC SIZZLE
Rowe Plastic Surgery, the preeminent plastic surgery practice in New York and the Northeast for both men and women, is helping Eastenders look and feel their best. Specializing in cosmetic procedures to the face, breasts, and body Dr. Norman Rowe, Dr. Charles Pierce, Dr. Lisa Schneider and Dr. Sergio Perez and the entire team of miracle workers remain committed to safety and excellence.
We were very pleased to announce that Rowe Plastic Surgery, in addition to its offices throughout New York, Long Island and New Jersey, has an office right here in Watermill, at the Watermill Square, 760 Montauk Highway! There is no need to fight traffic on the Long Island Expressway for your needed tweaks over the Summer. This makes it too easy for you to look and feel your best. All physicians are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and have extensive training in all aspects of plastic surgery, and the staff are extensively trained in helping you look your best while maintaining a “natural look.”
Dr. Rowe says that a VERY popular procedure is laser fat reduction and skin tightening. A procedure that takes 30 minutes and can remove up to 25% of excess fat. He goes on to say that a wonderful aspect of the newer lasers is that they can be safely used in the summer without fear of sun exposure like after traditional laser treatments. In other words, you can get treated and the still go to the beach!
In addition to the latest treatments, Rowe Plastic Surgery offers anti-aging, botox, facial fillers and treatments for sun damaged skin (and who doesn’t have sun damage skin after a few seasons out East?!).
Dr. Pierce goes on to say that he also talks with quite a few women (and yes, men) who are already planning surgical rejuvenation and contouring of their face, eyelids, nose, breast and body while they are still able to enjoy a walk through the vineyards.
Don’t wait, look and feel great for the summer!

THE PINEHURST RESORT
The Pinehurst Resort, located in the North Carolina Sandhills, has revealed plans to create a new golf course, marking the first such addition in 28 years. The course, named Pinehurst 10th, is slated to open in late spring of 2024. It will be designed by renowned golf course architect Tom Doak, known for his exceptional work on sandy terrains.
The new course will be located approximately four miles south of the main resort clubhouse. It will feature an 18-hole routing that takes advantage of the distinctive topography of the site. With natural ridgelines, intriguing landforms, tall longleaf pines, streams, and ponds, Doak aims to create a course that complements the existing courses at the resort while offering unique contrasts. The layout will include about 75 feet of elevation change, with an apex point providing expansive views of the surrounding landscape.
Pinehurst 10th will incorporate rugged dunes that were originally excavated from the site during the early 1900s. This will contribute to the course’s character and highlight the native sand and wiregrass that are characteristic of the Sandhills region.
The opening of Pinehurst 10th in 2024 coincides with the return of the U.S. Open to Pinehurst No. 2, a classic course designed by Donald Ross.

OPERA HOUSE REGATTA
The Opera House Cup Regatta is a cherished tradition held annually on the third Sunday of every August on Nantucket Island. It holds the distinction of being the first all-wooden, single-hulled classic boat regatta on the East Coast of the United States. The event has gained prestige over the years and attracts some of the finest sailboats in the country
The regatta features a diverse range of participants, including former America’s Cup winners such as Intrepid, Weatherly, and Columbia. Well-known competitors like Ticonderoga, Wild Horses, and Blackwatch have also graced the race. Notable yachts such as the Mystic Seaport schooner Brilliant and General Patton’s When and If have also participated in the event. In addition to these renowned vessels, smaller boats in the Wianno Senior class and classic Herreshoff-designed and Nantucket-built Alerions also challenge the larger boats in the competition.
Boats in the Opera House Cup Regatta are scored using the CRF (Classic Rating Formula) rating system, which is employed within the divisions of the Classic Yacht Owners Association (CYOA). This system allows for fair competition among the different classes of boats, taking into account their design, size, and other factors.
The regatta serves as the grand finale of Nantucket Race Week, a series of sailing events and festivities that take place over the course of the week leading up to the Opera House Cup. On Opera House Cup Sunday, the day begins with the beloved Rainbow Parade around Brant Point, where colorful boats add to the festive atmosphere. Following this, the Parade of Wooden Boats sets sail from Nantucket Harbor and heads out to the race course.
The racing itself takes place in Nantucket Sound, with a picturesque race mark located just off the beach near the Great Point Lighthouse. Sailors navigate their vessels through the designated course, showcasing their skills and competing for victory.
After the intense racing, the day concludes with the OHC Awards Party, held under tents on Jetties Beach. The party is a highlight of the event and is considered “the party of the season” on Nantucket. It is exclusively open to OHC participants and sponsors, providing an opportunity for camaraderie and celebration. Attendees enjoy good food, a raw bar, drinks, photos of the race, and the eagerly awaited presentation of awards. A lively band keeps the party atmosphere going well into the evening, ensuring a memorable experience for all involved.

IF YOU HAVEN’T, YOU SHOULD
Equestrian Euphoria
By Margaret Bastick LuceAtext from the debonair, Hutton Wilkinson, can mean one of two things, and it usually means getting into some fun trouble. Of course, I said yes, to meet and be a guest of Babs and Lee Robinson at their exquisite residence, The Malvern House, in Louisville, Kentucky for the iconic 149th running of the Kentucky Derby. Taking the lead from Lee, that included the required wardrobe essentials and how to best prepare for the upcoming three soirees a day. The key advice was getting a B12 shot so off I went to see Elizabeth Tringali of Tringali Vibrant Health. Not one for minimalism, I added the Vibrant Sport IV to my planned B12 shot, to carry me through the merriment.
My first thought was, what do I do about a proper Derby hat, Lee Robinson said, ”The locals don’t fret about a hat,” and boy was I relieved. No longer concerned with searching for my Philip Treacy hat from the Galway Races, my attention could turn to my wardrobe. This playful Gemini pre-plans, and curates each outfit, and knowing that Hutton always brings extra bobbles, I went light on the jewelry, this time. Noting where I manifest experiences before the invite arrives.
Grabbing the last First Class seat on a Delta flight to Louisville, I couldn’t help but smile at all the Derby decorations adorning the airport. Of course, as I stepped outside the Louisville airport, the wellknown decorator, Lee Robinson, had brought the perfect accessory, a brand new Bentley in navy blue with a cognac interior. The ease and specialness of having my host come to the airport set the tone for the hospitality I was going to experience over the coming days. After all, who comes to the airport anymore? Along our lovely drive, a glimpse into what was to come. My host took me to the historic Jack Fry’s for a divine lunch. It didn’t take long for me to realize how spectacular this part of the country is and, more specifically, the iconic event known as the Kentucky Derby. Immediately feeling as if I were being cared for like a thoroughbred.
Approaching my hosts’ residence and what would be my home away from home for the days leading up to Derby, The Malvern House. The long driveway leading up to the home built anticipation of what my room would look like. Upon entering the foyer, I immediately went back in time to true American aristocracy and the titans of industry. The drawing room was my favorite, my love of silver, and of course, it was polished to perfection. My quarters were an entire wing of the home. Making the most of the moments before heading off to the cocktail party, I unpacked and enjoyed a quick soak while reviewing the agenda.
During the whirlwind from party to party, I was struck by how many lovely and kind people I encountered. Each person I met shared a form of authentic conversation, no obligatory small talk, and left feeling like they were genuinely interested. The hosts’ warmth as we moved from home to home, their hospitality, and their unique signature was felt and observed, among some of the most beautiful homes I have seen in America. I was particularly struck by the art as it conveyed so much about each host. Imagine a continuous flow of champagne and caviar day after day. My trip was one of the most incredible experiences.
The Kentucky Derby history is not to be ignored. A natural decadence that takes you back in time. Having been in and out of the homes of some of America’s most noted families, meeting many new people who quickly felt like old friends. By the way, I neglected to mention that Babs grand-fathers top hat appeared in my closet, a perfect fit! It was none other than a Cavanagh hat created by the famous gentlemen’s hatter along Park Avenue in New York.
You might assume that following my days in Louisville, I may need a vacation to take a breath. Quite the contrary, I was energized and dreaming of next year. A tip, book now as you won’t want to let another year pass without spending time in Louisville and taking in the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby.
If you haven’t, you should...Keep manifesting and say yes!
