I
Note from the editor am excited to write this letter, as our footprint continues to grow for Luxe Lifestyle Magazine. We have added many new retail outlets to our current distribution. A well-deserved thanks to all our wonderful readers and amazing contrib-
utors. Speaking of our wonderful contributors, we have two new columns debuting in this issue. The first by Debra Kennedy who shares the story of others on her own show, The Debra Kennedy show. Well, now the tables are turned and Debra will share her own stories and thoughts with her column “Confessions of a Lifestyle Connoisseur”. If anyone knows Debra her column will be sure to entertain if not shock us from time to time. I can’t wait. In addition, interior designer Claudia Ricciardone has joined the Luxe Team, with her column “Curated by Claudia”. Claudia will be sure to answer all of those decorating questions we often wonder but have no answer to. For example, I am constantly perplexed as to mixing metal finishes in a room and throughout a home. Can I have nickel trim faucets and brass lighting in my kitchen? You can send all your questions directly to Claudia. Just pm her on her instagram page @claudiajosephinedesign. Jane Seymour graces our cover and what a pleasure it was having lunch with Jane. She is truly an amazing women. Her energy is abounding. Most of us remember her from Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, but you may be surprised to find out a few other projects which we mention in the magazine, Jane is known for. This issue is our interior design edition, and we truly have some wonderful design stories and homes displayed. From the mountains in Asheville to uptown Charlotte to the shores of Charleston, the Carolinas are blessed with talent and beauty.

good reads LILLY PULITZER The story of the Lilly Pulitzer brand is bound with that of its inimitable founder and of Palm Beach, Florida, itself. Founded in the mid-1800s as the first resort town in the country, Palm Beach was where newlyweds Peter and Lilly Pulitzer settled in the early 1950s to live year-round, which, while an unusual decision at the time, fit with Lilly’s bohemian personality and rule-breaking spirit. The instantly recognizable Lilly Pulitzer brand, now synonymous with resort wear, was created in the late 1950s, when Lilly worked at a stand selling juice from her husband’s orange groves. While Lilly loved the job, it was messy, so she had her dressmaker create brightly printed, comfortable shifts that she could wear during work to mask the fruit stains, a stark contrast in both color and shape to the form-fitting styles of the decade. With this design, Lilly unknowingly invented American resort wear. Soon, every Palm Beach girl wanted the Lilly dress, and it began selling more than the juice. The trend grew during the vibrant, irreverent sixties, when Jackie Kennedy began wearing Pulitzer’s creations, and thanks to color TV, the world was exploding with vivid hues in perfect parallel with Lilly’s designs. The Lilly became the symbol of cool, chic beach glamour at all the jet set’s favorite spots, as photographed by the legendary Slim Aarons. Today, Lilly Pulitzer celebrates its sixtieth anniversary, and the brand’s designs are as timeless as ever, its hand-painted, custom-color watercolor and acrylic pieces featuring flamingos, sea turtles, shells, monkeys, and countless other beach- and jungle-inspired patterns made to outfit every generation. Each Lilly store is unique, with carefully curated decor that gives it a distinct personality. Lilly Pulitzer is the story of an inimitable brand that has come to define the fashion world’s resort season. For any activity under the sun, life is simply better in Lilly. In celebration of the brand’s 60th anniversary, Lilly Pulitzer designed four special prints to mark the momentous occasion. The new cloth patterns, created exclusively for the special-edition collection, wrap each book and its slipcase in a rich burst of vibrant color. The Lilly’s Pink Bouquet print is a classic pink and green floral – a signature for the brand – these mesmerizing flowers can be found in many of Lilly’s iconic prints. The second print, Lilly’s Palm Beach Toile, is the culmination of Lilly’s favorite parts of Palm Beach and includes scenes of Worth Avenue, scalloped beach walls, the new Lilly store, and even a pair of ladies walking their fluffy white dogs. The final print in the collection, aptly named Cheek to Cheek, is a close patchwork of motifs from the brand’s Spring 2019 collection. Breaking out of the traditional square framework, these colorful prints dance together in a unique collage that nods to both the brand’s past and future. The standard edition’s Viva La Lilly print masquerades as a floral, but is complete with classic Lilly content including hidden elephants and monkey’s. It’s an ode to Lilly’s fun and irreverent spirit.

INTERIOR LANDMARKS TREASURES OF NEW YORK Judith Gura and Kate Wood Principal photography by Larry Lederman THE FIRST BOOK TO PRESENT GREAT LANDMARKED INTERIORS OF NEW YORK IN ALL THEIR INTRICATE DETAIL, INTERIOR LANDMARKS IS A VISUAL CELEBRATION OF SPACE THAT CAPTURES THE RICH HERITAGE OF THE CITY. Since 1965, the New York City Landmarks Law has preserved for generations to come a remarkable number of significant spaces in New York City’s cultural, social, economic, political, and architectural history. Not only do the exterior facades of these buildings fall within the law’s purview, but many of their stunning interiors as well. Newly updated with current information, this book tells the stories of forty-six interior landmarks from the widely celebrated–Radio City Music Hall, the Great Hall of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Grand Central Station–to others that are virtually unknown. A catalogue of all 120 interior landmarks, with names of their architects and locations, is also included. Readers will learn about their original construction and style, their exceptional design features, materials, and architectural details, as well as the challenges to preserving them– whether they were unanimously accepted or hotly contested in legal battles–and the preservationists, philanthropists, politicians, and designers who made it possible. The book also includes updated details on the restorations or re-imaginings that took place. Combining strong visuals and thorough research, this valuable reference work will fascinate all readers with an interest in the city’s history. This paperback edition is updated with current information, including the 2017 addition of The New York Public Library’s historic Rose Main Reading Room to the list of protected landmarks.
PRAISE FOR INTERIOR LANDMARKS “This updated paperback edition doesn’t compromise the quality of Larry Lederman’s original photographs, nor does the addition of a gorgeous, glossy two-page spread spotlighting the luminous celestial ceiling mural of the New York Public Library’s Rose Reading Room. A must for lovers of architecture, history, and design and for anyone—tourist or native—who’s ever marveled at the marble, metal, wood, stone, plaster, and glass adorning the sanctuaries of New York’s notable buildings.” —Kirkus Reviews

Claudia avoids plumbing issues like she avoids gluten unless… Unless it involves bathroom remodels—then, I’m all yours. After many years of being the go-to for random but important questions, I’ve transitioned from family and friend guru, to your luxury design advisor. In partnership with Luxe Lifestyle Magazine, it’s my goal to help you reach your personal design goals in the coming year. It’s spring and time for a fresh start! Let’s dive deep
and uncover the root of your design and decorating weeds. This is the year that we dig through your most frustrating interior design problems, your paint color problems, your bookshelf-styling problems, and maybe some of your marital problems. I’m just saying... we will leave no stone unturned. Get your gloves on. As a trained psychologist (turned interior designer), I do care, and I promise to base my answers on facts, experience, and tedious research. Send me your burning questions and design dilemmas, and let’s get acquainted.

a pinky-beige undertone. Her granite, with its blue and green swirls, narrows the choices.
Dear Claudia,
What are some trendy kitchen colors this season? My counter tops are granite with swirls of grey, blue, and green. I have light blue walls and white cabinets but I’m wanting to switch things up! Currently, I was thinking of painting the bottom cabinets a dark blue or grey, and the walls white. But I’m torn on if it’ll look balanced or unbalanced…we were wanting to paint the walls white but I’m nervous about how to keep them clean with the kiddos.
A
We’re going to go on a tangent for a bit. I’ve been getting a lot of requests for white paint. Leanna’s fear that sticky little hands will mess up her paint job is a valid one because most builders use a matte finish on walls. A matte finish is soothing to look at, and it hides imperfections in the drywall. But it’s also difficult to wipe clean and touch up. If you have children, use at least an eggshell or satin sheen, which makes it easier to remove the spaghetti sauce your kid flings onto the wall. Still, I don’t recommend white walls for most homes. Why?
This question came from a lovely reader, Leanna Gar-
cia, who is mom to three toddlers and a baby. This busy lady is also a talented Mississippi artist who paints blooms so decadent I want to eat them! You can see photos of her family room and kitchen below. Leanna and her husband have already done quite a bit of updating to their brick ranch but were wanting to

wall color as well. Let’s walk through the process I used to choose the right color for her open floor plan. If you know me, you know that one of my main design goals is to keep things timeless. While asking for trendy won’t send me clutching my pearls (hey, it’s only paint), I prefer to offer my clients a solution that won’t feel dated in a year or two. Rather, trends can be incorporated in smaller doses when accessorizing a space. First, I need to determine the undertones in the existing hard finishes like tile, brick, cabinets, and flooring. Leanna’s pinkbeige fireplace brick demands a paint color that won’t clash with
Because paint color goddess divine, Maria Killam, trained me. My training and my experience both agree that you need a huge dose of natural light for white walls to work. Otherwise, you’ll end up with a drab, grey cast—not pretty. This is the Studio McGee white room example. Photo is from Pinterest.

How to test your paint color: Paint a large, white piece of foam board with two coats of the desired color. Once it’s dry, you should view it on the same plane as your walls in both natural and artificial lighting at various times throughout the day. Because color is relative, you will need to place a piece of white poster board (larger than your sample) behind the painted board so that the current wall color doesn’t distort your perception of the sample color.

ORGANIC BEAUTY in Charleston
“After many years in the fashion and make-up industry, I've learned a lot about the impact of daily exposure to chemicals in beauty care products. I've seen what works and what doesn't live up to its promises. I see the results of taking a quick-fix approach to looking good. I know first-hand the price our health can pay in the pursuit of beauty. I realized that what women need is a cosmetics line that is as pure as possible, one that creates a solid foundation for anti-aging and long-term beauty.”

Making a house a home typically involves changes in existing paint colors. Managing move in projects or even redecorating or repurposing a specific room involves new furniture and accessories which all can be impacted in whole by the base color choices. Items such as existing carpets and couches or future to buy items all make a splash in how the eyes will share the combined mixture. It all revolves around a pivotal point of working with colors-Undertones. With a passion for design for hues and nuances in the painting universe, Maria Killam has carved out a unique niche for herself. As an expert teacher and mentor in the color industry, she is able to educate her clients in the any varying ways to utilize color palettes. Internationally known, Maria is a color expert, design blogger, author, trainer, decorator and stylist. Working with interior designers, homeowners or otherwise color enthusiasts, Maria opens up a world of understanding on color choices. Her approach involves a live color workshop and hands on learning in a session as well as online support options. She has a regular blog, Color Me Happy, on her website www. mariakillam.com that flows with ideas on changing trends and color usage as well as simple and practical tips as well. Chatting with Maria about her blog, she shares, “Color Me Happy is my expression in the world on all things color and design related as well as my thoughts on life and business.” Tidbits included in the blog are color forecasts. Her recent post for 2019 included a note on the color peach as being on the upcoming trend for 2019. What exactly does this mean? effect and play the color has alongside lighting and other hues. Having worked with a popular paint store, Benjamin Moore, Maria started out doing color consultations with customers. She
credits this experience for giving her the base knowledge and curiosity to start her passion in color. “I was going on 5-6 color consultations a week and over a few years, I picked up that, most of the time, clients were connected all the items that made an impact on their color choice when picking a paint.” She adds, “Most people do not realize how important the countertop is in the kitchen palette scheme or the rug in the great room…it’s not just picking the paint in a can, it’s the whole room of color accents to consider.” With her knowledge, Maria was eager to jump in to a solo career. She recalls, “I went all in leaving my day job and starting with an ad in the Yellow Pages.” Educating clients included a stint teaching in a local college. She reflects, “It was my partner who saw the interest in my classes who encouraging me to set up online and to do live seminars which made my career grow to what it is today.” Maria travels across North America sharing her systematic approach to color. Maria reflects, “You CAN master colors if you know their undertones in a rational way with reasons behind your choices instead of mere intuition and guess work.” Over 20 years of experience led to Maria’s creation of Understanding Undertones™ – The Color System and led her to publish her book, How to Choose Paint Colors; It’s All in the Undertones and White is Complicated; A Decorators Guide to Choosing the Right White.

When asked about the basics of color planning, Maria enjoys teaching the basics of being timeless. For example, she notes “I believe timeless is key to creating a new home- white or crème for a bathroom and kitchen always leaves room to be trendy if you want to paint an island your favorite color of blue for example.” She shares 9 primary neutrals in her color wheel design focusing on taupe, three types of grey, and 5 types of beige. As well, her systemic approach to specifying a color choice surrounds three basics points about color. “Color is either cool or warm, light or dark, clean or dirty.” For those curious on the ‘clean vs, dirty’ descriptor, I asked for clarification. Maria elaborated by saying, “As an example, the color coral would have a ‘clean’ look whereas a rust would appear ruddy or ‘dirty’. “She shared a further example of ‘clean’ and ‘dirty’ coloring. “I remember walking into a commercial bathroom. The walls were white, the floor had a terra cotta type accent, and the stalls were bright red.” Maria’s love of color is a beautiful gift that she can share to everyone who is interested. For those not interested in a large project or those without ‘money to burn’, she advises to do what is needed. Her wealth of experience can make any project big or small, a treasure that will be timeless.

AMERICA'S LOVE AFFAIR WITH BARNS Converting Barns into the Quintessential Home By Nancy Easter White

Volume 3, Issue 2 | www.LuxeLifestyleMag.com
As our society races forward in the digital age, there is something very soothing about the romance of an earlier era. More than ever, people are seeking the quaint tranquility of weathered wooden structures for their wedding event center, primary home, or vacation escape. At Washington, DC’s Blackburn Architects, the team is often asked about salvaging old barns and converting them into residences, breweries, university libraries, and more. It’s something the firm has done successfully many times. “Even a barn in questionable condition can often be reused, if not in its whole form, then as a foundation or framework for something else,” explained Blackburn Founder and Senior Principal John Blackburn. “In addition to a barn, every farm typically had feed storage and sheds for equipment, and these, too, can be repurposed with surprisingly pleasing results.” At River Farm near Leesburg, Virginia, Blackburn repurposed an old bank barn as a gathering spot shared by multiple mem-

Converting the Ohio barn into a new home involved stabilizing the dilapidated structure and picking it up (literally) to relocate to a different site. Blackburn explained, “Our goal was to salvage the beauty of the barn and retain its character and charm. We reused lumber where possible and played with the mix of traditional details and modern amenities.” Undertaking a barn repurposing isn’t for the faint of heart, but big dreams can yield even bigger rewards. Common issues to be aware of are: structural (is it safe? how’s the foundation?), is it Blackburn Architects transformed the bank barn into a sparkling

SIGNATURE STYLE WITH
CATE HOLCOMBE By Maxie Breedlove photos by Raleigh photographer Catherine Nguyen The truly fabulous have a style that is unique to their person. Even now, men and women remain mesmerized by the gracefully-styled, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. And we all know what the smoldering Marilyn Monroe wore to bed—a signature scent! These icons even shared a breathy quality to their manner of speech that no one since has been able to quite pull off. So, what about you? You are undoubtedly adhering to the KonMarie© method like a champ and have removed every bit of clutter from your hoardy, little home, right? Well done, people. Now, 2019 is the year that you define your signature style because Raleigh designer Cate Holcombe (who, incidentally, has the loveliest, soft, Southern melody to her voice), offers personal tips that will help us develop our own signature style. If you have a spare room or space, quick— clear it out completely! A clean slate helps. Otherwise, you might get distracted, or worse, influenced by the style and hues that you’ve left behind.
76
Volume 3, Issue 2 | www.LuxeLifestyleMag.com
Cate simplifies her method for us and uses her powder room as an example of what we can achieve with practice. She suggests that a powder room is an ideal place to refine your design skills. Cate explains, “The beauty of working on a powder room is that it is a tiny space that’s hidden behind a door from the rest of your home. This allows you to take more risks than normal because you can really stretch yourself when decorating a powder room.” For your project, consider trying out bold ideas and more pattern than you might otherwise feel comfortable selecting. And while a powder room is the perfect project to illustrate this concept, Cate insists that these ideas can easily be applied to a larger room. Cate transformed her powder room as a participant in a semi-annual event called One Room Challenge™. Wanting a show-stopper, she felt prompted to take some risks. However, she was still mindful to balance those risks and thoughtfully combined the elements she chose. Cate suggests that transforming a powder room is akin to dressing up for an arena concert—you show off your best stuff! For the more reserved, a milder approach might be something like “pulling together an outfit for a first date with an incredibly cute, engaging prospect where you want to really show off your style but not set off any alarms.” Don’t get stuck here. Just pick the approach suits you and march on. Once your space is clear, try sourcing your design elements in the following order:
mirror either be quite small (so as to be centered over the sink) or quite large (to be centered on the wall). Either way, the mirror needed to be useful when standing at the sink. One of Cate’s favorite tricks, in a small bathroom, is to center a large mirror on the wall rather than the sink. She says that this approach works as long as the mirror is big enough to still be useful. When she realized that the huge, shoe-form mirror would work in her tiny

BACKGROUND When Cate approached this powder room, she thought of the walls and flooring as the base, like her canvas. “I’m typically drawn to classic, simpler base elements and like to bring in the bold, fun pieces in smaller doses.” However, Cate realized that

SUPPORTING PIECES Supporting items should not compete for attention with the statement piece. The sink and toilet are simple, white porcelain. Cate instructs that the crisp white serves a purpose because it informs the background color in the wallpaper selection. A cream or ivory background would not work in this instance. She loved the character and unique lines of the wall-mounted sink, but rather than add a competing factor, she chose to ground it with a tailored sink skirt. “Initially, I chose a fabric with a more organic pattern, but I re-visited my process and quickly realized that the fluid, organic, colorful, unstructured elements that I enjoy were already adequately covered.” The sink called for a more subtle, structural pattern to balance the room. This wide-striped fabric was the perfect fit. Cate had the skirt tailored to hide the blue stripes within the inverted pleats, allowing for a peak of subtle blue at the split in the pleats. The subtle colors and structure of the skirt pair perfectly with the loud wallpaper and mirror. Remember, supporting pieces should elevate the statement piece without competing with it.
ACCESSORIES Accessories are the final touches that help punctuate the room. Accessories are also a nice way of adding in trendy touches that can be easily replaced when new styles are introduced at market. Cate warns that it’s easy to over-accessorize. “I often find myself styling once, then revisiting my choices and editing them down,” she says. She advises that when considering your choices, you should take hints from the colors and textures that you have already chosen and repeat an element in the accessories. Notice that the retro inspired first-aid box in Cate’s powder room repeats the white in the wallpaper. The handmade vase also repeats the brown in the mirror. “If you introduce a new element or color,” she says, “simply repeat it to give it purpose.” For instance, when she sourced a graphic black and white art piece for her wall, black was not yet present in the space, so she repeated it in a small tray. The brass frame is repeated in the pendant light fixture. As a final touch, and for instant life and movement in your room, add in a tree sprig or a loose bunch of flowers and voilà!

Savor Recipes and photos by Jessica Bentley
EGGS IN PURGATORY SKILLET Eggs in purgatory is one of those classic recipes that we often enjoy as a lazy breakfast, easy lunch or cozy supper.

Volume 3, Issue 2 | www.LuxeLifestyleMag.com
In today’s article, I veered a little from the traditional recipe and incorporated spaghetti squash, thin slices of applewood smoked ham, sliced avocado, feta, toasted bread and fresh herbs into the mix. Adding these elements makes this skillet a show stopping conversation piece! Serve it alongside a cheese platter and wine at your next party… then watch it quickly disappear before your eyes. I make a scratch-made meal just about every night of the week. We gather around our dining table and share our moments from the day, enjoying a little laughter and creating more memories as a family. If I’m out at an event during the evening hours, I make sure to have leftovers in our freezer so my husband and son can still enjoy a home-cooked meal together when I’m away. Dietz & Watson shares this concept, encouraging everyone to “come together over distinct flavors and an unforgettable experience”. Oh, and did I mention how much I love Dietz & Watson’s Originals Uncured collection? Insider tip: I often ask for the butcher to cut my slices of meat paper thin so I can use them in several types of recipes.
INGREDIENTS: Serves: 3 • 1 large Spaghetti Squash • 1 cup of your favorite Pasta Sauce • 3 large Eggs • 8-10 slices of Dietz & Watson Uncured Applewood Smoked Ham • 1 tsp. Chili Flakes • ¼ cup Dietz & Watson Feta Cheese • 1 Avocado • Chopped Parsley • Toasted Baguette for serving
DIRECTIONS: 1.
Cook Spaghetti Squash: You can either cook the Spaghetti Squash in the oven or microwave. To make the best use of my time, I often microwave mine. Cut in half, scrape out the seeds and place upside-down on a microwave safe plate. Cover with plastic wrap and cook on high for 10-12 minutes, until fork tender.
2.
Heat up the Pasta Sauce: While the Spaghetti Squash cooks, bring Pasta Sauce to a simmer in a large oven-proof skillet.
3.
Preheat the oven: warm to 350F.
4.
Assemble the skillet: remove Spaghetti Squash threads from their shell and add to the tomato sauce. Create 3 wells in the mixture and crack an egg into each well. Place pan into the oven and let cook for 6-10 minutes, keeping a close watch so you do not overcook the eggs. Cook to your personal egg preference, but I do recommend serving this dish with over-easy eggs so you can mix the yolk into the sauce.
5.
Garnish & Enjoy: Sprinkle with Chili Flakes, Feta Cheese and Chopped Parsley. Then tuck Ham Slices, Avocado and Toasted Baguette around the edges. Eat immediately.

The event raised $110,000 which will benefit Charlotte Concerts; The Council for Children’s Rights; Mitchell’s Fund; Pat’s Place Family Advocacy; and The Relatives. “Thursday’s evening was an incredible celebration of fine wine, food, camaraderie and fundraising” said Lauren Deese, Executive Director of Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend; “Thanks to our amazing title sponsor Wells Fargo and the generous support of our other sponsors, patrons, and partners, we’ll continue to make a difference in the lives of Charlotte youth.” As the opening event to Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend’s thirty-first year of fundraising, the Wells Fargo Kickoff Dinner has become a cherished tradition in the Charlotte community. This year’s gala evening, once again held on the 41st floor of the One Wells Fargo building in Uptown, featured special guest Pablo Álvarez, owner and CEO of Tempos Vega Sicilia, Spain’s pre-eminent and most iconic winery. Founded in 1864, Vega Sicilia stood the test of time and achieved icon status for producing wines that earned a high reputation for their complexity and ability to age, with the highest acclaim going to its flagship wine, Único. In 1982, the Álvarez family purchased

the winery and under Pablo’s leadership became the leading winery responsible for the rise of the Ribera del Duero DOC. As Pablo’s passion for wine grew, he expanded the family’s wine empire by founding Alión in the Ribera del Duero; Pintia in Toro; Oremus in Tokaj, Hungary; and most recently, Macán in Rioja all under Tempos Vega Sicilia. The Wells Fargo Executive Dining Team, led by Executive Chef Michael Bader, provided an exceptional five-course menu inspired by Spanish gastronomy. Standouts were the jamón ibérico carving station featuring olives hung from lighted tree branches, a mouthwatering ceviche to start, and a beautiful crema catalana to finish. It was all perfectly paired with the wine selection for the evening, including the Oremus “Mandolás” Dry Furmint 2016, Alión 2014, Pintia 2013, Valbuena 5⁰ 2013, Oremus Late Harvest Furmint 2016, and Único 2006. The night wrapped up with a thrilling live auction raising over $55,000 which was conducted by auctioneer extraordinaire Jamie Ritchie, Senior Vice President and Worldwide Head of Sotheby’s Wine. The auction featured an array of experience and wine lots generously donated by CWFW board members and patrons, including the very rare 2000 and 2002 Magnums of Único donated by Tempos Vega Sicilia.

about town charleston Charleston Parks Conservancy hosted Shucked + Sauced in Hampton Park. Shucked + Sauced was curated by chef Mike Lata of FIG and The Ordinary and featured bites from The Ordinary, Nico, 167 Raw, Chubby Fish, Rodney Scott’s BBQ, Lewis Barbecue, and The Obstinate Daughter in addition to local oysters from Lowcountry Oyster Co., Clammer Dave, Barrier Island Oyster Co., and Lady’s Island Oysters. There was wine, and beer from Holy City Brewing Co., plus beachy Lowcountry tunes from Dallas Baker and Friends. Held at the newly renovated Rose Pavilion. Lata said in a press release, “This event connects two of my favorite things: oysters and Charleston. Having been here for 20 years, I’ve seen many changes in Charleston. As the city has grown, development has put a lot of stress on the fishing community. Our local oyster farmers are helping to revitalize our working waterfront, just as the Parks Conservancy works to rejuvenate and preserve our city’s public green spaces.” It was a sold event with all proceeds supporting the Conservancy and their work renovating and beautifying public parks and green spaces.
